We weren't aware we needed one and there was a sign posted that said walk ins welcome. He left us to wander the store on our own and didn't come over to ask if we had questions or pay us any attention at all really. We asked to take home a couple of samples. He gave us a business card. After a few days, I contacted him to set up a measurement appointment. He came out and did the measurements and said he'd get back to me the next day with a quote. I waited, but didn't receive the email he'd said he would send. A day or so later, I missed a call from him while working. I returned his call that afternoon, but got no response. I tried twice the next day with no results. I decided to wait until today while I wasn't working to try once more. I left voicemails every time I called. I left one this morning and got no response by their closing time today. I'm through trying to give them any business. There are too many other places to go where I would hope we'd be treated in a more considerate manner.

They even moved the furniture for us! (Please keep in mind we still had to prepare by removing all the small personal belongings) but they moved the heavy stuff! The managers even came out to make sure the correct flooring had been delivered and supervised the guys getting started! We already had engineered hardwood floors throughout our house ( bedrooms were carpeted) and wanted the bedroom floor's to match the other wood floors. Of course, our wood floors were discontinued but Kevin was able to check with his Shaw rep and had sample's sent immediately. Kevin came to our house several times and we agreed that one of the samples was almost an exact match. Kevin was so easy to work with and always answered any question or doubt immediately. He had samples sent to the house or he stopped by with them as well. He explained about Shaw Custom Flooring through the Custom Home Improvement Installed Products Program worked. He was so patient and helpful. I was having issues with closing and he was able to work with me. When I did close, I had to get painters in to paint my entire condo prior to getting the carpeting down (3 bedrooms)and I had two days to move my furnishings into my condo. Roger came in that morning, making sure the carpeting was down and the job complete (saving me some money in the process because the padding there was still in good condition) prior to the movers arriving in the afternoon. He really took care of everything, working under my pressure, since I could not be in two places at one time. The carpet he helped me decide to buy is perfect. It's middle of their line but truly an wonderful pile. It does not have toxic chemicals and is considered "green" which is recyclable. GREAT JOB ROGER!!

Two days after measuring my home I called for the results and Annie told me they had a problem with their software and she was working on my measurement as we speak. When I called back she said I needed to pick out the flooring before they gave me a price. I already had their samples and prices so I ask her for the square foot measurement and she said she could not give me that until I chose a floor product. What the hell!.. What kind of game are these people playing? Right then and there I knew something was fishy. I have redone 7 homes in the past 10 years in VA, FL and Tennessee and never encountered this way of doing business. All I wanted was the measurements so I could figure out an estimated cost of where I wanted to put hardwood and where I wanted to put carpet before making a decision. She told me they don't give out that information. Now something is wrong here. I believe they were going to figure out a way to charge me more at the end result. My advice is don't do business with any flooring company if they can't disclose the measurement they took. For god's sake do they think I can't use a tape measure myself and get the square footage. Sounds like they were trying to rip me off. I told Anne just to forget it and come pick up their samples. I don't want anything hidden from me as I am the one who is spending the money. They lost my business. After this experience I looked up some other reviews on YELP and they are not good. Good to know before I contracted any business with Four Seasons Flooring. In late February, 2019, Carpenter Construction gave me a great presentation and reasonable prices for a kitchen and bathroom as well as other projects. They followed up with every call and email. If I wasn't fully satisfied with what was being done, they made it right. There workmanship is excellent. It is family owned and they have employees who act like family. I highly recommend Carpenter Construction and would use them again.
