Owner decided to fabricate my quartz slab in such a way that left a quarter-sized, resin pooling, blob FRONT, CENTER by the kitchen sink: totally unacceptable. While color pooling may be a normal part of quartz slabs, I believe the Grassie company should reject use of that part of the unsightly slab for that reason OR at a minimum fabricate in a way that minimizes the exposure. We were not informed of the possibility of this type of defect in the product. Workmanship includes proper inspection and utilization of the provided material. Product delivered and installed in my home demonstrates casual, shoddy workmanship. I guarantee the owner of Grassie would NOT accept the resin pooled quartz into his home - why would he expect us to live with it? I was shocked and appalled that the Grassie owner thinks this fabricated countertop he sold me is acceptable under any circumstances. Paperwork states that there might be variations from the samples in the showroom however, this product would NOT sell if it was fully disclosed what the countertop might look like with resin pooling. My request to have a replacement of said countertop was denied and a poor option to " repair " the resin pooling was rejected - repair would have looked worse: the COLOR of the resin pooling would change from yellow to black. When something is well done, it should be applauded. I find myself going to websites and complaining about a job or service that was less than satisfactory, but usually fail to bring attention when something is done above and beyond the expected outcome. We used Grassie Granite and Marble in Myrtle Beach for the counter tops in our entire house. That's 5 bathrooms, a laundry room and a large kitchen! Joe and Laura Blackmon and their staff were amazing to work with. There was always time for me when I came to the shop, they returned my calls immediately if they weren't available at the time of my call. Their products are high quality and beautiful. Their inventory is impressive. We chose a beautiful quartz for the kitchen and granite for the rest. Andy was my go-to guy with Velvet as his back up. They did an amazing job. Their prices were very competitive. I visited just about every granite and marble facility in Myrtle Beach with estimates from at least three other places, Grassie was right there in price. But what really sold me was their product selection and customer service. Their installation team was on time, pleasant, respectful and knowledgeable about their product. very disappointing. I will tell anyone to avoid this place . We gave very specific requirements in what to cut. They cut to make profit and we got blemishes and a finished cut that was not what we specifically requested. When we rejected the installation and asked to speak to the President (Joe), he refused to come down from his upstairs perch and we got conflicting responses from the regular workers. Went here because they have at large showroom and I am not from area. Girls in the showroom were nice and I selected granite from a different place and hired Grassi as the installer. I have owned homes for 30 years and installed plenty of kitchens. This was by far the worst experience that I have had. First off they are WAY more money than the other smaller places around. I went with them anyway because they supposedly have precise cutting equipment no one else has. Too bad that they cut them all wrong. They fit terrible. They they then blamed it on my house and that the walls must be crooked. Well if your cutting a stone and my walls ( which you measured ) are off you can then cut the granite to fit precisely right? Apparently not. The day of the install it took all day to install. Again have had this done before, if it takes you all day to install a small kitchen, something's wrong. The seams are just terrible. I have had them back and the seams are still extremely visible. The worst is the inch or so that they stick out away from the wall. They came back to repair and started putting small shaved pieces in the gap. I am not having them back, they are non responsive and don't care that they do a lousy job apparently. What a waste of money. Go elsewhere and find a better and cheaper job, I wish I did. read more

Extremely poor customer service!!! Does not back product or installation. Does not resolve issues at all! My fiancé and I purchased granite from this company to have installed in our condo. We initially were very impressed with the company and "Betsy" the salesperson that helped us. We put a down payment of $1500 that was required. Our countertops were measured. The installers came to the condo, took the old counter tops off, then placed the granite countertops on top of the cabinets. When this was done, my fiancé noticed the granite was not cut properly such that the colors and patterns in the granite did not match up at the seam. One of the installers agreed. He sent the granite back to the shop. We were told by the folks at Grassie that the granite looked fine in their shop under their lights. We explained multiple times that the granite was not cut properly, the patterns in the granite did not come close to matching, and we weren't going to accept it. We were then told by "Betsy" (on August 27th) that she, the owner, and worker that cut the granite would meet us on Saturday August 29th. When we showed up, none of the individuals were there. "Betsy" didn't work on Saturday's and the owner flew out of the country that morning to take his daughter to school. The sales lady that was there didn't know there was to be a meeting. She showed me the granite again and it was clear that nothing different had been done to remedy the mistake on their part. Not only did we drive 3 hours to meet them on a Saturday morning, but no changes had been made. The owner was out of the country until the Tuesday after Labor day, and no one else could make decisions for him. We called "Betsy" on Monday, she told us that she had quit the company but was working through the week. She also told us that the worker who cut the granite, his truck had broken down so he was unable to meet us either. If this all were true, why would the sales lady that Saturday not have any idea of a meeting? Working with this company was one lie after another with their unwillingness to work towards a resolution. Therefore, we went to the State Employee's credit union, had our money refunded, and cancelled our credit card. We then called "Betsy" back to let her know we were canceling our business with them and our money had been refunded. She had mentioned how poorly they had managed this. The owner reportedly had since come back in town 9/8. Today (9/10) we heard from "Betsy" asking if we would consider paying for the granite they cut for us. H*#! no!!! At no point in time has this business owned up to their end of the deal. At no point in time has the owner ever tried to make this right. At no point in time has he contacted us. And at no point in time does he let his employees make decisions when he is out of the country or not in the office. Meanwhile our old countertops were taken off 8/25 and to date we still have no countertops to date (9/10). Our kitchen in our beach condo is completely unusable therefore we were unable to have our beach gathering during the Labor Day Holiday as planned. Be aware that this company requires a 50% deposit and they have extremely poor customer service if something goes wrong!!! Fortunately we were able to go through our credit union to get our money back. We have also submitted a complaint to the BBB! read more
