Let me clearly outline where your supposed transparency and integrity fall short: Deliberate Omission of Cost Details: Initially, you provided absolutely no breakdown of labor versus parts for the drip line repairs ($240) or the controller replacement ($370). It was only after my complaint that you reluctantly offered specifics, HERE, publicly, but never to me, even though I explicitly asked for this information! This lack of transparency suggests intentional obfuscation designed to justify inflated charges. Or you simply don't care until somebody complains. Deceptive Communication: Your initial communication misleadingly and strongly suggested that the drip line repairs would also solve the non-functioning sprinkler issues. Either you deliberately created this misunderstanding, or you lack the competence to clearly communicate your services. In either case, your approach led to ongoing problems despite payment. If you don't have the tools to do even something as basic as locating a box, maybe you shouldn't be in this business. If I had seen you, I'd have shown you that the gravel around the property was being disturbed a great deal every time your team couldn't locate the irrigation box manually. We also couldn't communicate with any of them because unfortunately (despite how much I love the language), we can't speak Spanish. Maybe instead of spending so much time in Yelp, follow your team around and this is the way to increase the reputation of your company, rather than responding to every single complaining customer and providing details over Yelp, rather than in your PDF, like a real professional would. My original review stands firm. Your service was overpriced, your communication was evasive and misleading, and your work was incomplete and ineffective. One Star is too much. This is possibly the worst company that I have ever dealt with. They demand a $65 estimate charge, then they require an additional deposit prior to starting work. We have a sprinkler valve leak. It has taken them a week and a half to finally send someone to make the repairs. The guy that they sent out came with a pair of channel locks and no other tools. I am a retired contractor and it was evident that he had no idea what he was doing. I told him to leave and that I had no further intentions of working with his company. Though they may seem expensive, they are not much more than our original service, and provide FAR more professional service and results. Jorge, I appreciate your responding to my concerns and expectations. I want to be clear on several issues. The directions and instructions for our project were very clear and simple. The lack of an on-site supervisor made the implementation difficult. The so-called "progress-payment" issue did not exist and in fact, I paid you as you requested on emailed statements and well before your statement requests for 14 days. I asked an employee not to blow debris onto my car in my complex parking lot when they were using leaf blowers to blow off the concrete. He asked if I was the property manager instead of just saying "ok I won't blow near your car", he then ignored me and blew dirt onto me till I went inside to get my keys to move my vehicle from further damage. They did the job which took longer than expected, were communicative and came back in the end when it wasn't quite right and made it right. SB Evolution was a total fail. The "CEO" Jorge gives a great first meeting but that's the last time he will talk to you. He literally never returned a phone call or email after multiple tries. The front office does a great job with communication but unfortunately they are limited my the CEO's none responses. There was little to no over site of the staff and we were severely disappointed by the failure to do even basic maintenance. They are very expensive and convinced us that every other week would be sufficient. It was not. We had to let them go only to find out that Jorge will reach out to you when he's fired . The owner showed up exactly at the scheduled time, looked at the project I requested, analyzed the situation in detail and gave me an exact quote right there. We scheduled a day for his workers to show up and that day at the exact time he scheduled, three very kind and hardworking gentlemen got to work. I needed a patio drain system, which seemed relatively simple in my mind but they gave the whole issue a great deal of thought so I ended up with an excellent drain system. As you can tell by my review, I am extremely impressed by this company. The price of the work was very fair and, to my surprise we even got a box of chocolates and a bunch of flowers to thank us for our business (who ever heard of that??). I recently had a verity good experience with SB Evolution Landscape. About a year ago I contracted them to put a drip system in my front yard. Everything was fine but then one of my drip lines was cut (I suspect my own gardener did it by accident when weeding). I called and asked if they could send someone out to fix it. It was very minor job, but since it wasn't a cut line wouldn't be covered by any warranty, I figured I'd be charged a fee. A fellow came over the next morning and fixed the problem. I waited for a couple of months for a bill in the mail, but one never came. Obviously it was a freebie! I give them credit for caring about customer support and service. read more

OK. Jorge was at all times pleasant and professional but I thought the price for his services, more than $1000 to clean up the yard of a small tract home, was a bit excessive. This Company is a total bait and hook. We talked about a number of things that we agreed upon and then when there not completed he tells me that is not in the contract. Check the sprinklers to see if they are working properly. Sure he says I will do that. Then my vegetation starts dying and he says that is not in the contract. Cuts down vegetation and piles up in the front side of the house and I ask why aren't you hauling the trimmings away. Oh that is an extra charge. Back drains are filled with dirt and asked why they are not cleaned. You guessed it not in contract. I am going to pay this overcharging company and beware overpriced and bad performer. read more

Good quality work, poor communication. Office staff is fast to respond which is appreciated, but they do not have any answers or details re: proposals, inspection findings, or work needed etc. As a secondary residence, I have no clue what maintenance activites they actually do - I am never informed of focus areas, work performed, work needed etc. They show up and maintain the grounds, but never make suggestions nor are proactive for additional work needed i.e. remove plants but never recommend replanting new ones, could not identify a 3 month leak in my irrigation system (i.e. sudden green spots in an otherwise dead grassy area mid summer). Any additional, one-time special requests are price quoted without any detail or granularity behind their price quote (just a total number - i.e. $2k in labor estimate without and description for what work is going to be done, how many people, how long, etc.) In general I'm pleased with the quality of their work. If you live full time in the home and can talk to the crew while they are there to understand what's going on it's probably OK - but if you live afar and want someone to proactively help you maintain your grounds and be communicative around what they are doing even when you're not there ...might want to consider someone else. read more

Jorge Cortez was trespassing off the clock at our front door over a yelp review so yes we felt harassed and called the police- the proper way to handle that without further conflict or violence, according to the authorities.. You lied about us being evicted. Your video shows only you approaching our front door asking for me by name which is threatening off the bat. We had every right to call the authorities and have you removed from our property. The way you are handling this negative review is showing how petty and childish you actually are. If you had just apologized for your employee who blew the leaf blower on me and pretended he didn't see me, instead of deny and defend your inappropriate actions- like Donald Trump would do. You can try and pretend we are the ones who were erratic but NOBODY should ever show up at someone's FRONT DOOR over a yelp review. I am following up with the police. Also- to say your crew has improved the look of the complex is a complete joke. It would be blooming with wildflowers all over if your crew hadn't killed them time and time again. About two months ago my husband contacted Jorge at SB Evolution to give us an estimate on overhauling our current landscaping. We were impressed at his quick response (he came over that day) and his reasonably priced estimate. We relied on him to find the right plants for the different sized areas we needed to fill as well as his knowledge of what plants would survive in high sun exposure areas vs shaded spots. His proposal also included laying down flagstone and nice ground cover to fill the spaces between the stone work. While he prides himself on the maintenance aspect of his work, we found that his good eye and landscaping skills really are what transformed our space. Overall, Jorge and his crew are very responsive and hard working. They got our job done in record time (under a week) and come back 2x a month for regular maintenance.
