From our initial consultation with Karina we knew instantly that she was going to be such a pleasure to work with. She truly alleviated all of our stress throughout the entire process. Their food is beyond delicious, we were fortunate enough to visit them at two market pop up events prior to the wedding so we knew just how incredible their food was. We had guests going back for leftovers multiples times, we had hardly anything left at the end of the night. I cannot recommend DTG Tacos enough, your next event won't be complete without them! Thank you to the DTG team for making our wedding so amazing!

I'll be tracking their tent down again.

I instead gave other food trucks my business because they were wearing masks while I saw at least one if not multiple people not wearing masks while working this truck. They were by no means the only ones not wearing masks but I think that is kinda wild while we are still in a pandemic. Just food for thought for the owners. It might be a statement or just lack of care but it kept me from wanting to buy food from them so I don't know if it was worth it.

Q: What do snowmen order at a Mexican restaurant? A: A…read morebrrr-ito! I've been hearing such amazing things about this place that I had to pop in on a Saturday morning. I was torn between a breakfast burrito and the jalisco-style chilaquiles. I had to get the chilaquiles! Jalisco-style chilaquiles are crispy fried tortilla triangles simmered in a rich, savory red sauce (salsa roja) made from roasted tomatoes, garlic, onion, and dried guajillo/ancho chilies, resulting in a balanced texture, softened but not soggy, and served with eggs your way (I had my eggs over easy), crema, and queso fresco. The key is frying tortillas until crisp, making a robust chili-tomato sauce, then briefly cooking them together for authentic flavor and this place does it well. Eat it with a fork and, "¡Buen provecho!" I enjoyed every single chip and not a crumb was left behind. And that sauce? Spicy! Love it. This is a great place! There's plenty of seating, the staff is friendly, and it's a brightly lit spot. Come here for flavorful eats.

What a cute place this place is! Came with some coworkers for lunch and left very happy…read more This place is really small - -I want to say four tables. Everything is pink, and since pink is my signature color, you know I loved it. They're pink saloon doors and a pink skirt around the counter. It's also clear that the owner is a fan of Hocus Pocus, as there are bits of Hocus pocus everywhere. The owner was also our server, and she was an absolute delight. One of the coolest things about this place is that they make their own pink tortillas for their delicious tacos. The tortillas, I learned, or made pink by adding beet juice, what you do not taste at all. I ordered the taco plate, which comes with three tacos, beans, rice, and sopa fria. What is sopa free are you ask? It is a cold macaroni salad and there's is absolutely fantastic. I could have just a huge bowl of soap of fria and be happy. You have the choice of whole beans or mashed beans. I had the mashed beans and they are absolutely delicious - - very smooth almost like they're whipped. There's no lard in them at all, it's just beans onion and seasoning. Better than any refried beans I've ever had without the added fat. I ordered one chicken taco and two carne asada tacos on my plate. Both were delicious! The salsa was also fantastic, but very hot. Another cool thing about this place is the lemonade. There are several flavors and it's so nicely presented in a mason jar with little purple flower petals (Jamaica, maybe?) and topped with a little bit of gold leafing. Not only is this so pretty, but it is delish! This is a splurge, because it looks like there's a lot of sugar. Definitely worth it though! There is nothing not to love about this place. I'm so grateful that it's close to my house so I can go back again soon!

That's why I was happy to find about this up and coming catering/family lunch and dinner spot through a friend of a friend about a month back before they officially launched on Yelp. After my experience, I had to come on to share. Still delivery only vs. brick n mortar, Mama's accepts all forms of payment and does catering specials both large and small (think wedding to family meal for 4-6 people) and will also delivers individual orders thru doordash and her own IG/FB pages, text or phone call to listed number directly with zero to small delivery fee depending on your order size and location. Whether you have or have not had Puerto Rican food before, and no matter how high your standards for food in general, Mama's food is an undeniably delicious experience and great foodie newcomer to the very limited scene here in the east valley. Her pastelillos (empanadas) are divine pockets of meaty cheesy (or request to skip the cheese if you must!) goodness...all of her variations on rice are beyond flavorful with the perfect not-too-soft/not-too firm Goldie locks perfection...and don't get me started on her meats! Via my recent tailgate catering experience, I've tried the beef pastelillos, bistec, pollo and steak guisado, arroz con pollo, and fried chuletas (pork chops) and all are moist and tender with the right crispiness in the right places! I ordered the roasted pernil picnic family meal as extras to feed the fam after the party ended but my family ate it before I could try it! As if that weren't enough, Mama Deanna Navarro's story of moving to the valley from Cleveland, Ohio as a single 30's something mom with 2 daughters and working her way up to management levels at a big local bank before leaving the role 2 relocations later to return to the valley and pursue her passion of bringing her late grandma's recipes to life beyond the corporate potluck is almost as heart warming as her Boricua spin on her chicken tortilla soup (also tried this as an add on extra for family deal And it was excellent)! Huge bang for your buck (same prices as Hawaiian bbq Or Chinese and similar set up as entrees accompanied with salads and rice and beans and some delightful fried appetizers and Puerto Rican pu-pu platter type options) and I felt the portions larger and way more tasty overall. I highly recommend. Tip: if you have preferences or sensitivities, let mama know ahead of time as her seasonings are delightfully present. If you like it more bland, less salty for your high blood pressure, or extra spicy to an AS standard, just let her know! Mama prides herself on caring about what you like and catering to your needs so be picky!
