This is a great place to buy some high quality tea and coffee. I especially like the staff here, they're very friendly and they seem to know their stuff. But keep in mind, this is not a tea and coffee "cafe", there's no where for you to sit and enjoy a cup. It only offers "to go" if you feel like having a cup now rather than making one later. The store is more of a tea gift shop, they sell a wide variety of mugs, teapots, etc in addition to tea and coffee. It's cozy (which is why I wish there was somewhere to sit down because I'd like to stay for a minute) but the big downside for me is they only sell one type of chamomile tea! Just regular chamomile. No blends. And to that I say not TEA, but Say What?!

This place is an Aladin's cave of delight. From mugs & decorated sugar to every conceivable type if tea you can think of with a plethora of coffee flavours, there's simply no chance of leaving empty-handed. I opted for the decorated sugar which had roses created from coloured hard sugar frosting on them and the weirdest tea I could conceive of - earl grey chocolate. Launched at Easter, this tea is apparently very popular. It smells like chocolate orange on steroids and I've been too scared to try it yet :-) The shop started life in 1980 so it is in it's 30th year of life already. The smell inside the shop is lovely and subtle - all the tea is sealed so it isn't overpowering. The huge array of tea dominates most of the back wall continuing along the side to the point it is joined by the coffe. There is so much to choose from it might seem impossible to choose but the staff who have been working in the shop for years can easily help. This is a gem - a treasure of the Bloor West Villiage - and well worth the subway ride to Jane station.
