My Hubby stumbled upon an ad for this place, while grabbing a bite to eat at a downtown restaurant…read more On a whim, we decided to check it out for a date night. We called ahead and reserved 2 spots. Upon arriving and understanding the set up, I would strongly encourage reservations. There are a limited number of stations, 1 person per station, and the average person rents a station for a hour. This is a virtual reality arcade. Meaning you put on virtual reality goggles, hold special controllers and play different types of video games. As it was our first visit, we were given a full tutorial on the rules and how to operate the equipment. Once geared up, we were put into a tutorial and then guided on how to play some fun, easy games to get a feel for the equipment. The employees were also able to talk to us through a headset and tell us how to navigate and troubleshoot when we got stuck. I have to say, I was blown away by the whole experience. It's like you are literally in the game. Like you got teleported into another reality. After we played for awhile, we were shown how to pair up and play together in a game. Next thing I know, we are working together to take out cyborgs. I could physically see my husband's character and we could talk to each other on our headsets. Soooooo cool! I was ducking down behind barriers, shooting from a kneeling position, jumping, you name it and my character would mimic the behavior. It's actually quite the workout, if you really get into it. We loved it so much, we brought family visiting to give it a go. They too thought it was mind blowing. They charge per hour, per booth. So you could share a booth with someone and switch off if you want. Personally, I think a hour goes by in a flash. Some people do experience some level of motion sickness. I was worried I might, but didn't have any issues. It's just quite a trip for your eyes and brain to process, which can lead to feeling queasy. I did feel a little disoriented for about an hour afterwards. But nothing too bothersome. They do have an age limit of 7, which is actually lower than other arcades, I am told (12 is the norm). It has to do mainly with height. The equipment is programmed at a height requirement. If you are under the minimum it can't pick up your moves properly. I would also say, the controls are a bit bulky and have multiple buttons to operate. A younger person may have some frustration trying to operate these fluently. Totally worth the experience! Give it a go!

It was so much fun. You can play VR, pc, there is an arcade, food, and more. Definitely will come…read moreback. Perfect for birthday parties.

BCC's Friday night painting parties are the best. After being introduced to BCC through a Yelp…read moreevent, I raved about how much fun we had so much that my friend insisted we go. I scored a good deal on Groupon, picked up a bottle of wine, and we headed to the studio on a Friday night. We got to use the airbrush and even spray paint on our master pieces this time. And, as always, Alex made the night fun, engaging, and creative, and we all ended up with a great painting of happy little trees to take home and brag about. Now, can I remember everything we did? Paint, scavenger hunt, paint, view a couple short videos of Alex's work (amazing), paint, roof view of Boise and foothills, paint, and adding a layer to the splatter paint room. Bring plenty of wine because it's going to be a long, fun evening.

The studio is awesome, but it was Alex & Mandy that made the night so much fun! The hours went by so fast, w/ drying times occupied by a scavenger hunt, adding our mark to the group paintings and a beer break. The evening ended w/ Alex's surprise piano solo! Though my husband had a bit of painting experience, my daughter & I hadn't ever done a painting. We were so surprised that we could end up with a real painting that we liked enough to display! We had so much fun and even my husband said he'd want to do it again! That is the ultimate endorsement!
