I run by the studio almost every day on the bike trail, and I thought I would check it out! It used to be an old house right on the trail that they converted into a Pilates studio, as well as an event center. It is located right behind the restaurant called Bishops Quarter.
I do follow this Pilates studio on social media, as I am a fan of all of the local businesses in my hometown; however, I had not been before today! I noticed online that they were offering a free intro class to the reformer this afternoon. I believe they created this class with the intention of making the community aware of what they were teaching--and for a teacher that had the availability of an impromptu class at noon on a Monday, it was perfect!
This class was a small, almost one on one type class where there were three of us with one teacher. It was on the reformer, and the teacher taught how to correctly place your body on the reformer, as well as some specific moves we would do in future classes.
I had a blast, and it really worked my muscles! The teacher said to look online for the current deal. She thought you could get 10 classes for about $186. I need to look at the schedule to see if it fits once I'm back to a full-time job in the fall (Summer schedules are great for us teachers!), but overall, I really enjoyed my experience!
The studio does use the Mind Body app, so you make all of your reservations online and pay for classes in advance. read more
