The food was quite good: even the E21 prix fixe meal we both had got us three excellent courses, all with great presentations and all quite tasty. I would rate the food a 5 out of 5. The service was adequate, with just a soupcon of french attitude (we wound up leaving cash on the table because the waiter never came back with our bill, and his explanation of the menu items was surly and not helpful). About that ridiculous French attitude: we arrived at 18:30 to an open door, with 4 restaurant workers sitting outside smoking, and were told they didn't open until 19:00 (a peculiar custom we had already encountered everywhere). We decided to wait since nothing else was open. At 18:50 a group of 20 or so Brit race fans showed up, and th hey were also turned away. Five minutes later we were seated.
