It's a decent thrift store worth checking out if you're in the area but not exactly worth going out of your way. I only stop by when they send me a coupon or have a sale going on because the prices tend to be high and not really consistent. I have found a couple of good finds here but the lack of fitting rooms makes shopping for clothing kind of hard. I'm hardly a prolific thrifter, but I've been to several thrift stores, and Savers is my least favorite. Because A) They don't have fitting rooms and B) they don't accept returns (only exchanges). I've been here 3x and all 3x I came home with clothes that didn't fit right, but I couldn't return. This wouldn't have happened if they'd had a fitting room. I'm one giving this place two stars just because it's highly overpriced. Like, it's used clothing there is no way anybody should be paying $8 for a single used tank top! You could buy a new pack of tank tops from Walmart for that price! That's like if location was able to convince the customer to buy used underwear for $4 a pair. I don't know who would buy that! Extravagant prices for jeans and other clothing! I will say that the store was really clean , shells were well organized and it was no garbage on the floor . Great variety of items that I would have not expected . Me and my wife did spend a nice hour and a half here checking out what was offered but if the price is here cheaper and immediately get stuff off the racks and inventory so you can bring more stuff in you should really lower the prices! read more

This place is pretty bad. Everything is overpriced. I won't ever come here on any other day than Monday. They also knowingly sell counterfeit items that they have the audacity to price as if it were real. Let me write that again. They knowingly sell overpriced counterfeit goods in direct violation of Illinois' Counterfeit Trademark Act. Also, and let me preface this by saying retail work is hard but the store manager sets the tone and hers is not very friendly, at all. One time I was there on a very busy Monday and she just randomly starts accusing everyone of shoplifting. She then closed all the self serve registers creating a huge line which was shoppers to fight with each other. Lady, the over priced goods that are being sold were DONATED. Why are you getting all bent out of shape and acting like everyone is stealing? Maybe, knowing that Mondays are the busiest day of the week, you should accurately staff your store. I have to agree with the other reviewer, the manager might be racist. She is very rude to people who do not resemble her. In fact, she was so hostile, my 13 year old actually called her out. This is a big location of Savers, and since it's brand new it's tidy, full of stock (& customers, including people who were obviously planning to resell, since they were checking the values of everything online as they went...some of us actually use and wear things in our everyday lives). I found all sorts of things; their prices are a bit high, though (thrift stores are forgetting that their goods are donated!) Also, their carts can't leave the store (the tall pole prevents them from going out the door), but this makes it challenging for people with disabilities to get things to their cars. Note that there doesn't seem to be a dressing room, unlike Goodwill (my friend wanted to try on a dress, and since she had on leggings and a tank top just tried it on on the aisle! Again, with prices this high it's not worth taking a gamble on whether it will fit or not). Staff at checkout was helpful. If you bring in a donation you get a coupon. read more

Although I love the layout of this store, I HATE that they don't have fitting rooms. Their pricing is very high compared to all other thrift stores in the area. Goodwill, Salvation Army, etc. are all high too but Savers takes the cake. Extremely mid. I've been 3 times and have rolled my eyes every time I left. Things are expensive, though, not *wildly* expensive....but it's still overpriced crap. Books are almost $5, clearly worn shoes are $20+, and dollar store crap is grouped & bagged for more than the original price The amount of plastic waste low key makes me want to barf. It's horrendously wasteful and a massive turnoff--especially given their mission, which states they aim to create a "leading recycling and reuse program". Very disingenuous to then produce loads of unnecessary garbage Given the lighting and layout, the building feels like a defunct Soviet hospital, with its sterile lighting and curtain separating the store from the back. It just feels...soulless. I'm sure the people who work there are lovely--they've been nothing but kind. But the whole vibe of the space is just weird. I was extremely disappointed in this location! Everything was insanely expensive. A basic baby onesie was over six dollars! I could buy this brand new much cheaper at any department store. I was also very disappointed to learn there was no changing room. Which is fine, but they should have a big sign posted right away! I had a whole cart full of clothes to try on and couldn't so I just put them back. They definitely lost sales. If you wanted to try on clothes , you'd have to do it right there in front of everybody over whatever clothes you had on or purchase it . But their return policy blows. Must be within 14 days and you only get store credit to use that exact same day. The only reason I gave two stars is because it is a very clean location and the staff was friendly but definitely not worth shopping at again read more

I'm a female, 70 yr. old seasoned resale shopper, and find Saver's simply delightful: Kim, manager is helpful, employees nice, prices are great, easy to find things, and Discounts: Mondays 50% off, Tuesdays: Seniors 30% off, Wednesdays: Military 25% Discount . If you work full time, no problem; their hours are amazing, open 7 days a week. Mon 9-9, Tues- Sat 10-9, and Sun 10-7. Clothing: men, women, kids, babies, household items, some furniture (no couches or beds). I find them less pricey than the Goodwill or Salvation Army, and other second hand stores. I find many new things, with tags on them. I'm a happy camper when I can walk out with several bags of things, and on senior discount day, average things I found are around $4-$5, and seemed priced to sell. Some things are more, of course, based on label, and wear. But this is my favorite store and has been since I discovered it, a couple years ago.
