Two of my favorite things are being environmentally conscious and saving money. Shopping at Savers allows me to do both-plus, I have been fortunate to find some wonderful items here. This particular location had several things that I fell in love with and added to my wardrobe. My biggest complaint is that they've removed the dressing rooms. Yes, I can bring things back and exchange them if they don't fit, but who really wants to do that? I wish they'd let us try things on again. (Coincidentally, one of the sweaters that I bought doesn't fit, so I need to exchange it. Guh, had I been able to try it on, it would have saved me the hassle.) read more

Holy cow, rudest employees I've met at any thrift store. The gal at the jewelry counter was rolling her eyes consistently, and when my mom made an offhand comment about 'ah, that bag is so cute but I don't think it would fit in my luggage haha' (as I was looking at jewelry in the case) the worker replies 'so what do you want me to do about it?' Like... why even reply? When I said 'she was just making a comment about it' she responded 'I was empathizing.' Ma'am I don't think that word means what you think it means. The women at checkout were also super condescending and all around, total crap experience. It sucks when you're having a bad day but there's literally no reason to take it out on customers. read more

it's almost impossible to buy most things here for cheaper prices than a regular store. The point of thrifting is to be more sustainable by reusing, and to SAVE money. Rating a second-hand store can be a little difficult because their "products" are not new, but for someone who has seen my fair share of Thrift-Stores in her life, this location is one of my favorites! It's located in Draper; and I've noticed that the quality of clothing items are nicer and less worn. Draper has some pretty wealthy people in that area, so donations are typically nicer. Just an observation. The store is well-maintained. Not nearly as chaotic, dirty or messy as other thrift-stores. TIP: If you aren't a fan on looking through every item on the rack and willing to take the time to find the "diamonds in the rough" then you may not be a Thrift-Store person. For me; I have found name-brand Levi's, Vanity, American Eagle jeans for $5-$10 each that are barely worn! Same with great blouses and dresses! read more

Staff is usually nice , so theres that going for SAVERS. Fun fact : items OFTEN have hidden defects . SAVERS prices high. Be careful lest you find you WASTED TIME & MONEY ! Took out dressing rooms!?!? Unfortunately I will Not shop here anymore due to the fact you can not try anything on at the store. And if you buy it to take it home to try it on you only have 14 days to return for only a store credit!!! What! Not worth my time! Their selection of clothing and how the store is organized still deserves a good 4-5 start rating, but their pricing structure is insane for a thrift store. The prices are through the roof. Old freaking Navy is treated as a designer label. Often, items on the rack are clearly damaged and that doesn't seem to be factored into the prices either. So look your items over carefully because they have no misgivings about selling mechanic's rags as clothing. I recently found a cool jacket that I was about to take to the register, but the seam down the back was completely split open. Another jacket I tried on had rips in several places on the interior lining. Savers is usually very slow on non-sale days, but a mad house on sale days. I think this speaks to how high their normal prices are when most people won't shop here unless it's a sale day. But I guess enough people take advantage of those sales that the business model works. They also love to play up the charity angle, but this is a for-profit company. They do buy some of their merchandise from charity organizations, but when you donate directly to them those sales line the pockets of rich dudes with yachts. Keep that in mind when choosing where to donate. read more

Store is always clean and items are nicer than a few savers I've been in, BUT the prices are outrageous!!! When you are charging $10 for a used sams club brand shirt that's where I turned and just walked out of the store. Well, to be fair I did check other prices to make sure it wasn't a random fluke. Nope. Used to not be like this. I'm not going to pay almost full price for a used shirt. People go to your store to save money. The prices at this savers are OUTRAGEOUS!!!! And the employees in the back sorting items throw things around, sending shattering and loud noises throughout the entire store. Not worth the trip and truly not worth the effort. A thrift shop should be just that, a thrift shop, not $9 for a worn out, torn up t-shirt. Been to this store several times and usually very over price (only come here to take Grandma), if you're looking for target shoes or Payless shoes for 9.99 or 12.99$ this is the place to go. Forever21 clothes here are typically 9.99$ -14.99$ when at the store they are about those same prices and sometimes cheaper, for instance the jeans at forever21 retail for 10.90$ and here they are sold used for 9.99$. If you like saving maybe 2-5$ dollars on used clothes then this is the place for you. read more

It's a bit of a challenge to rate thrift stores unless you've been there several times, because a big part of my rating is their selection, but it can vary so greatly, even week to week. I've been to this location probably three or four times now, though, and it definitely doesn't seem as great as my favorite one in Midvale. Generally I look for books, bakeware, vintage and antique dishes (and other kitchen items), dresses, shoes, vintage silk scarves, and I'll glance at the jewelry and furniture sometimes too. I rarely leave a thrift store empty handed, but I have left here without buying anything. I went last weekend and couldn't even find one book. Not one! I needed to make an exchange (if you return something at Savers their policy is that it must be within 7 days of purchase (I've waited longer and they never said anything), and it can only be exchanged for something else, you can't just get your money back). This meant I really needed to find SOMETHING...so I settled for a stoneware pan and dress, but I wasn't super excited about either one. The employees were friendly, and the store is huge! It seems like I should be able to find several things I love, but I just never have very great luck here. The Midvale location is hoppin' on the weekends, but this one was much less busy on a Saturday. Oh, and one more note, at any other location I've been to I've sometimes taken like 20 pieces of clothing in to the dressing rooms. They've never said a thing, but here they will hold you to the 6 item limit. Not a big deal, but it's a little annoying if you have a lot to try on. read more

I love going to thrift stores! But I HATE it when literally EVERYTHING is overpriced. I feel like I'm going to the damn target it's expensive. It's just really annoying because they treat everything like its new. I mean I'm not going to the thrift store to get 2 things and spend over $10 when I could get new things for the same price. ALSO last time I went to the Draper location they had a line set up like the one at the DMV!? Why tho!? Love the Savers in Draper! People in this area are my favorite, buy expensive items, use SOMETIMES once, then donate to Savers.... Win for me! I've found so many great, expensive items with the tags still attached from the original store! I love being able to get books for $2 or less, and when you buy 4, you get one free! My kids are set! Plus they take your donations, you can get tax credit for donating and they give you a coupon towards your future purchase! ...and Savers supports a good cause! This is a much nicer location than others I've been to. It's clean and organized and it isn't stinky. The staff is nice. Savers is my #1 favorite place to hunt for deals! read more

This store is absolutely gorgeous. I don't know if it's because it's super new or because it's a nice part of Draper but it's nice. I'm a firm believer that thrift stores can be defined by their location. The West Valley location is grungy location because it's a grungy part of the state. The Midvale location is pretty decent because it's a decent part of the state. This location is nice because there are a lot of higher income houses around the area. I don't want to sound ungrateful for a nice enough location, but the people who donate here are trying to make themselves feel good for "giving to the needy" and the people who shop here are high school/college hipsters who won't brave West Valley or Rosepark. It's slightly more expensive than I'm willing to pay, but it's worth a look around. I haven't bought anything yet, but hey, maybe next time. read more

It's a thrift store, you can't expect a whole lot. I do like the savers in midvale more. They tend to have a better selection and better pricing. Clothes here are normally in really good shape though, so no big complaints. read more

Worst Savers store EVER! This Savers store is almost like ALL the savers stores, but this savers must think they are a retail store because their items are way TOO EXPENSIVE! Who would pay retail for used items! (JCPenny's sale items are very comparable to Savers used prices!) I can't tell you how many items I have found in the store with a tag over $10. These are USED items people!!!! Today I was in the store and they had a few signs that said "Green Tags 50% off." Most Savers have at least one tag at 50% off, and it makes it a fun hunt to see if you can find something you like with a green tag. I found 4 items with green tags, and a few others with other color tags. When I went to check out the girl scanned a green tagged item and I noticed that it didn't come up 1/2 off. I told her "That was a green tag!" She replied "Oh, we don't currently have a 1/2 price tag." I said "You have signs up ALL OVER the store that say "GREEN TAGS" are 1/2." She said flatly "Oh, I forgot to take down that sign....." I just looked at her, and she didn't even care that there were signs up! She didn't apologize or try to make it right because they were falsely advertising a 1/2 tag. I have shopped at all of the Savers in Utah and this is the WORST ONE! I have never had a good experience here, and honesty this is the first time I have been back in 6 months. They do not care about their customers and it is obvious that they are just out to make money! Go to the South Jordan one! They were already the most expensive thrift store in the valley and now they've raised the prices of their books to $3.49. By comparison Goodwill charges 1.49-1.99 for their books and Deseret Industries charges $1-2 for most of theirs. read more

So overpriced. And what terrible customer service. I know they're a thrift shop but when you're charging that kind of money for used clothes the least you can do is have more than one person on register. Also, they recently changed their donation policy. I used to bring stuff in and get a 30% coupon for just donating once. Now you have to donate 6 times and only then will you get 30% off of a hundred dollars or more. Wow, way to make it 10x worse. At least when I donate to DI I get a tax write off and I know it's going to a good cause. Lastly, has anyone noticed how if an item has the original tags on it, Savers will price it at 50% off of the original, no matter what? I have seen clothes there (with tags) from 2004 and they still want $30 for it. Hi, stuff depreciates. If it's from 2004 it's not worth 50% of the original price no matter how great of condition it's in. Saw an H&M sweatshirt that was originally 39.00 (which, let's be honest, is a rip-off for H&M) and savers wanted $19.99. That's laughable. Save your time and go to goodwill or DI.
