Well my husband and I decided to take my parents on vacation and pay for everything, my dad lost his job of 35 years and was somewhat in a depression like mood. It was also a way we could say, "it's for Father's Day" without my dad getting mad we were paying. So we called a couple places and save on Branson matched the best deal we found without us even asking. She asked the price from the other company we told her $128. So she matched it, and after going through several hotels and hours of telephone conversation we were finally set to go and stay at Branson's Westgate resort. We ended up paying $144 and some change after taxes and fees were added. This was a great deal, however, we have to attend a timeshare presentation. We agree to that because we already own a timeshare and was looking for other options anyway. Well up until this point the two ladies who handled all of our bookings "kassy and Crystal" were great and had fantastic customer service. Well we get to the resort and we have to pay two $50 incidentals when we only thought we had to pay 1. The we had to pay $37 in fees and taxes. We were not aware of this, neither "save on Branson" nor Westgate informed us of this ahead of time nor did we sign anything in our arrival paperwork stating this. The person at Westgate says the travel business should have informed us and they said it was Westgate's problem. After calling and speaking to 4 different people who told me 4 different things they finally wanted to make it right by giving me a dinner voucher for $30. Well I'm sorry and it may be small but I'm still out of $7 so no and plus we already had dinner vouchers to this place. So then they offered two show tickets which for most would have been an ok deal but we had my parents with us and did not want to go to a show without them and didn't want to shovel out more money to pay for two extra show tickets. This was supposedly all they could do through 30 minutes of talking. Finally I could not do it anymore, the way that the last two managers I talked to handled the conversation telling me how much they have already paid for the the package and basically saying I should be happy I got what I got. They even said they paid over $1,000 for my rooms, really? No! In my 20 + years in retail as employee, district and regional manager I've never treated a customer in that form. Some employees at the place Obviously need more training in customer service. Here is a thought, instead of blaming it on Westgate and telling me to go talk to them. Maybe you should call Westgate and explain the situation to see what they could do. As a guest and customer of "save on Branson" I shouldn't have to fix a mistake that was not my fault. So here is my warning, be careful with these dirt cheap travel options. Oh and yes I'm still out the extra money. read more
