My two problems with this place are as follows: 1. There is no more than TWO cashiers on duty at a time. They can be painfully slow on some days, even down right moronic. 2. This one is more specific. I came in on break from work, hoping to get a drink as I was particularly parched that day. The cashiers tend to give me shit for not being "friendly." I guess they think they're entitled to get a reply back. I just wanted to get my drinks and go, but this one lady decided to say a little something extra to me: "It's okay, we know you don't care about saving money. You just wanna get your drink and go." Excuse me? Did I just really hear that? A cashier talking to ME like that? I'm just trying to get my drink, and head on back to Goodwill's break room. I didn't go back there for another three days. I kept thinking about WHY that cashier thought it was appropriate to say that to me. I still shop there, since it's literally right next store to the Goodwill I work at. I haven't seen that cashier again, thank God.

Good stuff they had when I went today: The deluxe Crock-Pot with digital timer for less than $30. Ink Cartridges for my printer, 3 for $25. 6 jumbo rolls of TP for $3.50. I take these and other purchases to the register, and ask the cashier, "So how long have you guys been here?" He says 4 years. Really? I had no idea. I've driven past it countless times. I thought that you could only find them on ebay, but guess what? Overstock has them. For 50 cents each. Wow! We found Free Willy, Three Men & A Baby, and a Christmas tape. I also saw a ton of wedding dresses for only $99.99 each. Formal attire begins at $19.99. I'm not in the market for a wedding dress, but I couldn't resist checking out a few styles, and they did have quite a few pretty ones. There were also bath soaps, cute frames, computer and home office equipment, lawn and garden items, stoves, insulation, beanie babies, wine caddies, and countless other items. I had just left the eye care center. Dr. Davis was great as usual, the ladies taking orders were polite. I was feeling good, then I walked into the retail store. I had a gift card for my birthday that NEX had mailed to me. I picked out my items and headed for the check out. The one open register had the cashier and the one customer in line having a conversation about something. They were laughing and carrying on. I then noticed that the NEX now has self-checkout registers. There were four self-checkout registers with nobody using any of them. I went to one near the podium where an employee was standing. I asked her if I can scan my birthday card there. She rudely said "only after you show me your ID". After scanning my items, she had to come enter my birthday card into the register. After sighing and mumbling a few times, it was entered. It was then she told me that the self-checkout was for 10 items or less (I had 11). Keep in mind there were nobody using any of the self-checkouts except me. When I turned to look for any postings or signs saying, "10 items or less", there were none. She then snapped "there are no signs, I'm telling you 10 items or less". The retail store needs to hire people who actually want to be there to do the job and do it well.
