I had just received and gift card for my birthday it was activated - Mastercard debit gift card... I tried to use it at the pump - declined. Went to pay in person attempted w attendant 2x both times told declined. So I proceeded to pay with my debit card. After leaving I checked my gift card to see why it didn't work - well KROGER DID IN FACT CHARGE MY CARD! so I called thinking the manager could fix. Was told he was unavailable. given a 1800# I attempted to speak to a live person without success. So I went on the app and sent and email, was responded 24 hr later "that's unfortunate but I can't help you call this number" I then called that number which also could not help. I then proceeded to go to Millington Kroger in person. FREDDIE was the store manager - REFUSED TO HELP, TOLD ME "nothing he could do" ALL THIS DESPITE ME SHOWING THEM ONLINE WHERE THE CARD WAS CHARGED!!! I then spent 59 min on the phone w customer care was transferred 4 diff times until ultimately the last person hung up. THEY HAVE MY MONEY AND ARE NOT GIVING IT BACK!
