As a Midwest girl, I expect a lot from orchards. I look for local goods, fresh-baked treats, and activities. While Jones has beautiful produce, they do lack some of the experiences that I seek. They do have a few local products like honey and jam, but the variety is limited. That being said, all of their produce is beautiful! They offer u-pick for different crops, and you can check their social media or website to stay up-to-date on what is in season. This summer, I plan on enjoying their tomatoes, peaches and strawberries! read more

Loved this place! Im from Cali and was visiting a friend who lives in TN and she said she had to go to a little place to get a watermelon. I asked her why she didn't get it at the grocery store. She laughed saying I didn't understand.... that this place has THE BEST watermelons. Always super sweet. I LOVE heirloom tomatoes and in Cali, one heirloom tomato runs from $4- $10 for one tomato. So I got 2 huge heirloom tomatoes, and 2 different kinds of jelly and it was all for about $12. The girl at the register was very courteous and sweet. I told her how much we pay for one of these tomatoes in Cali and she was shocked. If I ever come back, I will make sure I come back here! read more

I love dropping in and picking up fresh produce from Jones Orchard. Even when it's not in season here, they make sure to do their best to get in some of the best selection of produce to sell. I was in last week and they had some of the best looking tomatoes. Those came in from Florida. Can't beat Covid-Free Florida for produce this time of year! I know, I know..."Covid-Free" Florida? Look, if the left can lie about everything else, I can stretch the truth as well about Florida's status. ;) All jokes aside. The tomatoes not only looked good, they tasted great. And if you're looking for an incredible selection of jellies and jams, Jones Orchard is the place to go. Let me say this..."Peach on the Beach". That's just heaven in a jar! So, if you're in the Millington area don't miss out. Drop in and jab that thorn in Kroger's side a little deeper. Get some of THE best fresh produce available and for a great price! I recently went peach picking here at the Jones Orchard. I'm so glad that this orchard is an easy drive 30 min outside of downtown Memphis. This was my favorite fruit-picking experience ever! It's $1 a pound for peaches and a full large basket will be ~25 lbs. There are so many varieties of peaches on the farm (really delicious white peaches too). I was there in the morning on a weekday and not very many people were present which was favorable. I brought along my own bug spray which definitely helped. In the summer, it can be extremely hot out there with few breezes, so be careful! Pick up a basket at the entrance and drive to the sections where it says "pick your own" and start from there. I would definitely come back at different times to pick other fruits/berries! Everyone was helpful and extremely friendly. I'll be back! read more

My friends and I recently went to the Shadowlands Festival of Fear. Not only was the attraction itself really enjoyable, but the people that work there are some of the nicest people I've met! We got a flat tire and some of the employees stayed to change it for us because we didn't know how (even though the place was closed by then and they were probably tired and ready to go home). Great for kids. Peaches are Cheap and good!! We went mid July on a Saturday. They were running two "hayrides" from the parking lot to the orchard. Kids had a great time as long as momma and poppa, grandparents too. $1 a pound. We walked with 27 pounds. The experience was worth the $27 alone. Peach cobbler in the oven now. Don't climb the trees. That's why all the branches are broken. Grab a high picker before you go if you're interested in picking high. Careful, there's a road that's not apparent to small children and some adults that runs through the middle of the parking area and the place the hayride/ peach paying area is. Also we want in 2014 late in the year "September" and there was no hayride. Don't be bummed if it's not there. read more

We moved to this area about two months ago and were very exited to find place like this with fresh vegetables and fruits. The tomatoes we bought by the end of June were fantastic. They were from Mississippi and Missouri. The owners promised even better tomatoes at the beginning of July from their own farm. What a disappointment. The weren't even close to those we purchased before. Thick skin, no taste, like typical tomatoes from a grocery store. read more

So this review is more for the pumpkin patch and corn maze even though I did buy a pumpkin. First of all, wow. We spent some 2 hours in that corn field. Not because it was hard but because you have 3 little games to complete before you can actually complete the maze. They also have a food truck out there. We got a funnel cake to eat. The pumpkin patch is right next to the corn maze and was pretty much picked though but we did manage to find us one. Tickets were 6 bucks each to the corn maze. This corn maze is wayyyy better than the Mid-South one. I would recommend going to this one. On a side note, still no sightings of the children of the corn. Be warned though, you will see children walking alone in the corn field, don't freak out. read more

I grew up in Millington, and started picking peaches at Jones Orchard when I was a wee child. Today, my daughters love to do the exact same thing, and they work a little bit harder than I ever did. You'll find Jones Orchard right off of highway 51. There's now a little market or kitchen there where you can buy a meal, or stock up on homemade jams, jellies, baked goods and chunky salsas. Grab a bucket to pick your own- my mom actually takes my girls for fun while I'm busy at work. I love coming home to the big smiles and the yummy peaches. By the way, say hello to Henry Jones if you go-- he's honestly one of the nicest folks I've ever known. read more

I'm lucky enough to have grown up just a few short miles away from this glorious place. I can recall many days of peach and berry picking in my youth. I haven't done it in a long time, but I still shop there often. Either at this location or at the farmer's market in cooper young. On my most recent visit, I bought a quart of fresh blueberries for $6, which anyone who's ever spent $3-$5 on a pint of blueberries at Kroger knows is a steal for the quantity and quality. I also purchased some eggplants, including some cute lavender colored ones along with the typical squat variety. I got some tomatoes and a huge jar of local honey that was $13. I should mention that aside from ordering Atikki honey from Greece, I generally don't eat honey, but anytime I can find this big jar at Jones Orchard, I grab it right away. I absolutely love this place. I can't imagine Millington without it. P.s A friend of mine from New York was here to visit and was raving about the blueberries. She couldn't believe how amazing they were. The perfect blend of sweet and tart, just as a blueberry should be. P.p.s the peaches make for a delicious frozen peach lemonade cocktail! read more

I drove out to Millington to pick my own blackberries at Jones Orchard. They've got 110 acres of land just off of Highway 51 covered in ripening peaches and blackberries that anyone can pick. When I got there, I stopped by the market / cafe at the front of the property to pick up a plastic bucket and directions to the berry patch. It took a few minutes to find the blackberries among all of the peaches, but once I did, my bucket filled up quickly. Know that because these blackberries are in an orchard and not in a package, you'll have to contend with nature. I found out the hard way that blackberry bushes are covered in thorns. Also, wear real shoes, as the grass can be high. Lastly, if you're planning to pick your fruit in the middle of the day in the summer, load up on sunscreen and take a water bottle. It took about an hour for a friend and I to fill up our white plastic bucket. We took it back to the market and they weighed it. The total cost was $14.25 for a kind of ridiculous (about 2.5 lbs) amount of blackberries. If you want to pick your own, Jones Orchard is open daily from 8 a.m. - 6 p.m. Right now, they've got peaches and black berries. In the fall, they'll have pumpkins and a corn maze. read more

I love the haunted corn maze or the "festival of fear." It was scary as there were tons of twists. Even standing in line is a bit scary with different haunted folks coming through. Sometimes you knew someone was going to jump out, but it still makes you jump. There were four of us and no one wanted to be in front. I'm in my 30's and it was still fun. It is kind of in the middle of nowhere, so that makes it even more exciting than the haunted houses in town. The line was long, but it goes at a descent speed and like I said there were "Jason's" and other exciting people coming around to make you panic. read more

We tried to walk the maze recently and it was so muddy that we only made it a few feet before we had to turn around. They will sell you a ticket no matter the conditions and won't refund so make sure the maze is passable before heading in! read more

Went to Jone's Orchard for the first time a couple weeks ago. It was pretty great. It's only $20 for a pretty large basket of peaches. The peaches were all awesome and delicious. Definitely worth the drive and the price, but you'll want good shoes and long pants are advisable as there were lots of bugs out when we went. read more
