The Savannah Riverboat cruise is a "one and done" experience that I wouldn't repeat for the price. The two-hour ride is scenic, and the four-level boat is impressive, but bring a jacket--it was freezing both on deck and inside the cabin this April. While we had a nice window seat, the real dealbreaker was the food. The buffet looks great, but the quality is just not there. It was edible, but honestly, it was not good at all. It completely failed to deliver on taste. You're paying for the views, not the meal, and because the food was such a letdown, I seriously doubt I'll be back.

We had such a fun time on the Savannah Riverboat! The surprise cannon blast definitely caught us off guard (in a good way ). The tour went farther than we expected -- we got to cruise under the bridge and learn some cool history along the way. Bonus: we even spotted a few dolphins swimming nearby, which made it extra special. Overall, a really relaxing and scenic way to see Savannah from the water. Would recommend if you're visiting! $40 was worth is for a first timer

The boat ride narration is mind numbing! Unbelievable boring. Get a beer and bring sandwiches to enjoy the ride.

Experienced the Savannah Riverboat Cruise for dinner recently on a birthday trip for my BFF. The menu included Roasted Potatoes, Squash Casserole, Mixed Vegetables, Lemon & Artichoke Chicken, Prime Rib carving station, Shrimp & Grits, Fish, Salad, Dinner Rolls, & Dessert. Tea, Lemonade, Soda, Water & Coffee included. We missed the dessert because we went walking around, and didn't know it was coming later. They had a full bar with a nice selection of wines. We ordered a bottle of Prosecco for the table. The food was seasoned well and filling. There was entertainment on 2 levels of the boat. The duo on our floor was great, performing a mixture of R&B and pop songs. The 2nd level had the line dance songs rocking after everyone finished dinner. The view from the boat was beautiful & relaxing. It was chilly, but it was a great night to be on the water. They also offer a brunch cruise that looks appealing as well.

We took this cruise on our 1st year anniversary celebration on Nov 18th, 2025. Me and wife enjoyed their food, detailed and guided tour by the captain during the cruise explaining the history of the port and the city of Savannah. Their on board bar and restaurant is very nice as well. Overall we had a very nice relaxing cruise afternoon. I highly recommend this tour while you're in Savannah !!!

Savannah riverboat cruise located riverfront Savannah, GA One of the main attractions in Savannah is the River Boat cruise .They offer a Lunch and dinner cruises up and down the Savannah River. Tickets may be purchased online, or with event vendors at most hotels on or surrounding the riverfront. We chose the dinner cruise (buffet style) with live entertainment (one man band). The buffet consisted of Prime rib, baked chicken and grouper for the protein and salad, mix vegetables, squash casserole and potatoes. The live entertainment was a gentleman... pretty good singer and guitarist. The crew was super friendly and accommodating... appreciated that, they made the experience worthwhile.

We loved this and had such a nice time. The boat was gorgeous and we were able to learn so much about Savannah and the port.

This tour was ok. I think the boat looks much cooler than actually being on it. We took a sightseeing cruise on a rainy day which I don't recommend. It's better when you can be on the outdoor areas of the boat. Tips: If you want to sit by a window, show up to board at least 1:30 hours ahead of time. There is an elevator to floors 2 and 3. You can order snacks on the third floor. The guide narrates the first portion of the tour and then turns off the mic for the last 30 min. If you are inside, I recommend going outside during the narration. It's easier to see and hear.

What a wonderful little trek up and down the Savannah River! We bought our tickets the day of, about an hour and half before the cruise time- from the local ticketing shop. You can board an hour ahead of the departure time, and the line to board will be lengthy. They take photos as you board and you are told what floor you are on. If you purchase the lunch or dinner cruise- they will have tables reserved for you. If you just get the cruise- like we did- you have a couple of levels to pick your seat. We went straight to the top deck- open air seating. The elevator goes up to deck 3 and you have to take stairs up to the top deck. **three of the decks are accessible for wheelchair or walker. Lines for bar service are obnoxious, you can also order food. John stood in that line twice- ew. It took about 40 minutes the first time and about 30 minutes the second time. The cruise is 2 hours long. I recommend getting in line right away if you want anything. I would probably book the meal an cruise if I ever did this again. It was a fun time and informative too.

This was a great experience for my first visit to Savannah GA. The boat tour offers beautiful views and photo opportunities for visitors to this beautiful city on the water. The boat is very clean and offers many observation areas as you sail down the river and enjoy the narration of the history of this beautiful waterway. There is a full bar for drinks and professional photographers available to document your tour. I highly recommend this for any first timer to Savanna!

I had a good experience overall. Have plenty of food and room on the cruise. The top deck is where the narrator is at but they have speakers so yo can hear. You can sit inside look out the windows or walk around. Have restrooms on the boat. Only problem is had was I purchase my tickets through the place I stayed at they couldn't print off. Well the o town trolly wasn't very informative on their location to board. Once we discovered the sign by the dock we figured out they had a store on river street. Also you have to have it paper printed off. I give them props the lady at the boarding informed me of the store across street she printed my tickets real quick and we was on our way. 9 E River St Savannah, GA 31401 United States that's where store is and you board not by stop 11 on o trolley tour.

What are the vegetarian options on the lunch cruise?

Is the moonlight cruise a decent experience? I've been on a similar "moonlight cruise" in Pittsburgh but instead of romantic and enjoyable it was loud, overloaded with drunks, and sweaty.

I don't think they have a "moonlight cruise" but they do have a sunset cruise that is very nice

On the sunset cruise can you order food?

I think it's always buffet style.

We chose to do the full loop first so we could hear Jared's complete narration before hopping off to explore. It was the perfect decision! He shared fascinating details about Savannah's rich history, along with some lesser-known fun facts that really brought the city to life. The tour sparked our excitement to visit spots we might have overlooked otherwise. The hop-on hop-off format worked brilliantly for us. Buses arrived quickly at each stop--we rarely waited long--and the stops are conveniently located near all the main tourist attractions. It got a bit crowded toward the end of the day (around 5 p.m.), and we occasionally had to wait for the next bus, but overall, it was seamless and stress-free. One small suggestion: I wish the tours ran a little later than 5 p.m. It would be ideal for avoiding parking hassles and enjoying dinner downtown--there are so many delicious restaurants to try! We highly recommend this tour for anyone wanting an easy, informative, and enjoyable way to see Savannah. Thanks to Jared for making it memorable!

With that being said, upon researching the area, Dan's tour came up as almost unanimously the best thing to do in Savannah. To say we learnt a lot and had a great time would be an understatement, Dan gave us a broad overview of many elements of Savannah's rich and diverse history. We were visiting from Florida, so we knew it would be hot, but as it was a very shaded route with plenty of stops it was not an issue. As Dan advices on the website, pack water, and sunscreen. The walk itself is very dog friendly and at a leisurely pace suited to all levels of fitness. Finding dog friendly activities is always high on our list, and plus the wealth of knowledge and passion Dan has it was a no brainer! Due to the heat, some other guests had to reschedule their time, so we were lucky enough to have a private tour, which probably would be worth an additional star on its own! Dan as a host was witty, engaging and brought Savannah to life. We have already recommended Savannah Dan to multiple people and will continue to moving forward.
