He arrives on time, does the job. He clearly knows RV systems and is able to work through the puzzle of solving the problem. Earlier this year, the Dometic Penguin II AC/HP unit went caput on my 2022 Motor Home. Tod took a quick look at it and, absent an extensive pull and inspect job, gave his opinion that the unit was defunct based on his experience of seeing the same condition in countless Dometics over the years. The charge for his time, effort, and insight? Zero. Zip. Nada. The Dometic unit was under warranty. Dometic would not give me the time of day to entertain a replacement under warranty. Thankfully, a US businessman became the authorized distributor for the new German Dreiha Atmos 4.4 AC/HP. This unit not only costs less than the Dometic but also outperforms it. It's quieter and features a heat pump that operates down to 23° F, making it a superior choice. Initially, I had planned for Tod to install the new unit. However, the distributor in Elkhart, Indiana, invented modifications to the ducted vent system in my coach, complicating the installation process. I took the coach to Elkhart for the installation. Tod could and would have done the work superbly. Remember, if you call Tod, he is in constant demand around the Low Country area. He tries to help RVers who are stranded to get back on the road. If you call, be patient. You will get a response later when he's not busy fixing someone else's RV. By the way, don't expect, and it's unrealistic to expect a no-fee diagnostic from Tod, as I have cited here. The man works hard and brings 27 years of experience and professionalism to his profession. I cite my experience as an example of how fair and reasonable Tod is, how he treats his customers and, how loyal and appreciative he is with return customers.

Thomas was nice until he wasn't…read more I purchased a vehicle from Speedway Motors in November 2025 and paid cash. Before purchasing, I made it clear that I needed the vehicle registered in Georgia. Thomas told me he was looking into getting the car registered in GA for me and that he was trying to track down the title from the auction. It was only after I paid for the vehicle that Thomas told me the vehicle "apparently" needed an inspection. I have the text messages where he stated, "We do need to get it inspected apparently but we got the guys number and we will get it lined up for you," and then told me, "But youre good to drive it with the tag on it." I cooperated and told him to let me know when the inspector could come to my job in Pooler. When the title/registration issues first arose, I was willing to simply return the vehicle and get my money back. They would not take the vehicle back or refund my money, so I continued trying to work with them to resolve everything. Fast-forward almost 10 months, and I am STILL dealing with title and registration issues. On September 4, 2026, I contacted Thomas again because I wanted a complete paper trail. Thomas specifically asked me by text, "Do you need me to re print you your paperwork?" and I answered "Yes." I then went to the dealership expecting to receive the paperwork we had literally just discussed. Once I arrived, however, he refused to provide the requested paperwork, would not verify the address he had on file for me, told me he "didn't feel like talking to me anymore," and told me to leave the property. I complied and left. What bothers me most is that I have tried to resolve this from the beginning. I was willing to return the car when the problems first arose and receive my money back, but they refused. I then spent months trying to cooperate and get everything corrected. I don't expect anyone reading this review to simply take my word for it -- I've attached screenshots of Thomas's own messages regarding the Georgia registration, title, inspection, and his offer to reprint my paperwork before I arrived at the dealership. I have retained my title, proof of purchase, text-message history and other documentation. I have also obtained an incident report documenting the situation and am pursuing the appropriate consumer and dealer-licensing complaint processes. Being nice while someone is purchasing a vehicle is easy. How you treat that customer when there's a problem after you have their money tells the real story. Based on my personal experience, I absolutely cannot recommend this dealership.

MUST share our wonderful experience at HILTON HEAD LEXUS HARDEEVILLE…read more Three months ago my wife & I (along with our 2024 RX350) moved to SCHH in Bluffton. How fortunate for us to have the BEST dealership in South Carolina right in our backyard- HILTON HEAD LEXUS HARDEEVILLE. From the moment we drove into the service entrance, we knew this was our "forever " dealership. Our first visit was a 15K mile service maintenance. We were immediately welcomed by an EXTREMELY personable & cordial employee - SCOTT (Doc) WALTERS- directed us to the HILTON HEAD LEXUS's cozy lounge & took our vehicle to service. In a short time, we met with our MASTER CERTIFIED SERVICE CONSULTANT STEPHEN SCOTT MANKIN. STEPHEN was personable, knowledgeable & professional. He told us exactly what to expect on our visit: the LEXUS COVENANT which promises that "LEXUS WILL TREAT EACH CUSTOMER AS WE WOULD A GUEST IN OUR HOME." And STEPHEN SCOTT MANKIN delivered on that!! Thank you STEPHEN. STEPHEN SCOTT MANKIN is another great representative of HILTON HEAD LEXUS HARDEEVILLE. Upon completion of our service, he explained to us everything that was performed on our RX350 & then presented us with our newly-washed vehicle. No upsell. How refreshing! In today's big-box store world it's so comforting to be treated like a valued customer instead of the "next number in line." During our visit we also met the man who commands the HILTON HEAD LEXUS SERVICE DEPARTMENT - MASTER CERTIFIED SERVICE DIRECTOR EVAN KALLAS. He took the time to talk to us & answer any & all questions we had. EVAN KALLAS IS "THE MAN" at HILTON HEAD LEXUS. He will (and did ) go above & beyond to make sure you leave his department satisfied. We can vouch for that! Thank you EVAN! We know we're in great hands with you & your HILTON HEAD LEXUS family. And finally, SALES CONSULTANT & TECHNOLOGY SPECIALIST KEIONDRE MCCLINTOCK. He is another professional & wonderful representative of HILTON HEAD LEXUS. KEIONDRE MCCLINTOCK is someone you should know! He embellishes the HILTON HEAD LEXUS experience. Need a Lexus, see KEIONDRE. Need your questions answered, see KEIONDRE. Need the truth, see KEIONDRE!!! Thank you EVAN KALLAS & your HILTON HEAD LEXUS family for making it feel like we're home again!!!! And props to GM SCOTTY HERRIN!
