Wanted to update my review. Dax charged me for a full-day session after telling me it would take a full day to complete the rest of my tattoo. It only took 3 hours and I did not receive a refund of the remaining amount. I also asked him to fill in a weird spot where he just left the corner of the sky empty/not tattooed or filled in... he told me "it's supposed to look like that" and refused to help me. As far as other thins go... Dax has said an incredible amount of horrible things. One time he got accused of being f@tphobic, so he tagged me in the comments on Facebook to prove that he had tattooed someone who's overweight. Soooo yeah. Anyways. Man, oh man, oh man! Words cannot accurately express how PSYCHED I am about my tattoo. My husband and I have been itching to get another couple's tattoo, and my husband found this place through google. I can't testify to his initial contact with shop owner Chris (I wasn't there but he said Chris was great), but the man knows what he is doing if he paired us up with artist Spencer! I'm currently living out of state, so Spencer set up a Group FaceTime for us to discuss our desires for the tattoo. We also sent him some concept art for our tattoos. They were all something different, examples of couple tattoos that we were interested in. Wellll.... Spencer took our concept art and incorporated something from each example. I'm telling you, we never would have thunk it up ourselves. The outcome? WAY better than I expected. He really put my dream tattoo to paper! Wowzers, Spencer! I have never been treated so poorly as a customer as I was here! For starters I was told they had to have an appointment so I made an appointment only to come in and find the recommended artist then my appointment was with had another appointment and was actually doing a tattoo while trying to talk to me so he wasn't giving either one of us the time a day, or acting like we were valued customers- he acted more put out and irritated with me and then laughed at my concerns. Lastly, he tried to to pawn me off on someone else in the shop because he didn't think he could do what I wanted, please keep in mind this is the artist that was recommended for the style of tattoo I wanted! It was a waste of my time I was treated so poorly; I was literally shocked- I will tell every single person not to come to this place! I was surprised at the poor quality of work the tattoo "artist" had for me to look at: there's no way I would allow this "artist" to tattoo anything on my body his Instagram is embarrassing and he couldn't give me the decency of eye contact during my appointment. I was prepared to spend thousands of dollars on a large piece and I will take that business elsewhere now. The absolute worst people on this planet. Back in November, I made an appointment with Chris the manager, and my artist was supposed to be Mike. I ended up going out of town and requested to cancel my appointment, and they denied it, they said I have to keep my appointment or lose my deposit. I went out of town for my wife's basic training graduation, and was NOT going to miss it so I had to cancel my appointment. I called the shop to explain my situation and requested a refund, and they denied it and pushed me off. I called my bank, and filed a dispute which they said they would investigate, so I thought nothing more of it. I recently got a letter from my bank saying that the dispute was failed, so I called to ask why and they told me that the tattoo shop said that they fully explained the non refundable deposit policy, which in fact thy did not say anything about that. They only sent me the website to pay the deposit and sent me a "receipt" which is just a thank you note. They said they explained everything, but I clearly remember they didn't explain jack crap. I was seriously thinking about taking them to a small claims court over this, because one, they lied to me AND my bank, saying they told me that my deposit is nonrefundable, and they didn't, and two, they are withholding money from me that SHOULD have a refund policy. If you want to get a tattoo but might have other plans, DON'T GO HERE!!!! Save your money, do your research and find a different artist that wont lie and steal from you. Don't go here in general, they are liars and thieves. Savage tattoo, more like pathetic people. read more

I had expressed my annoyance on google stating that I was upset because I wanted a simple outline tattoo and no one would even give me the time of day. The number that was on the website text me and said "we don't have a outline specialist" and to me that made absolutely no sense, since you have to outline EVERY SINGLE TATTOO and then asked the savage tattoo "so you mean you won't do my tattoo" and he said no. There was no "I'm sorry we don't want to make you pay $200 (which is store min) for a simple outline , here are other shops that we would recommend" or "I know it's a basic outline and we'd love to help you, but that would be a really expensive small tattoo, are you sure you want to come to us?" Nothing. So I wrote a review on google to see if their owner; Dax, would care To respond. His answer was "we have a $200 minimum". After that I looked at the other one star reviews and Dax, instead of being apologetic, told people off, said to not start drama, and that other people are liars. So In conclusion, the artists are really great and I would have loved to get a tattoo here, but no one, cares for their clients AT ALL. It's easy money for them and clients are getting ripped off. You'll likely have to wait to get in (I was six weeks out from my consult), but it will be worth if if the quality of your new permanent decoration(s) matters to you. It does me, and I couldn't be happier with Kira Teter's work. She is the best fine line, decorative, ornamental and sacred geometry worker in Utah. I've looked. I spent almost two years looking for ideas and the right artist. I let her design a matching cuff set for me based off her reactions to a bunch of ink I found and liked on Instagram and the first one just went on my right forearm. I'm writing about my tattoo and tattoo experience with Tattoo Artsits: Chris @arsphox_tattoo Had the worst expirience you could probably ever have with an artist. This shop prides it's self in their "outstanding" artist. And how they are soooooo honest, have integrity and much more. I'm honestly SHOCKED I had the expirience I had here. Not only do I have an unfinished crappy looking tattoo the artist was an absolute bully and horror to work with. Rescheduled for poor scheduling, at the time of my session I waited 4 hours after my scheduled time to even start. Because he had little to nothing ready and was talking to possible clients... I paid a big deposit for my spot. So that could have waited. . I set another deposit for an appointment he didn't even put me for and then I waited 2 months for him to get me one(in this time frame I was contacting him often to get a date) And he only did so because I contacted he shop to explain everything that had happened there is a lot to what happened as well. Not only was I treated like garbage the artist told me the reason my tattoo looked like crap was my fault and that my brain might not be right.. what the hell? So now I'm out a couple hundred for the deposit and the shop won't honor it and give it back (even though Nolo personally told me I would get it back). DEPOSITS ARE FOR HOLDING APPOINTMENTS!! I didn't even get an appointment. And to top it off I was lied to about the amount of experience he has. I was also informed this is the SECOND incident like this with this artist since Janurary! I hope no one has this expirience again. And hopefully the shop can maintain more honest and caring artists in the future. (I will add the other artists I encountered were sweet, and caring and seemed to have a good head on their shoulders .) This review is about the artist above and the management involved. read more

My journey at this shop started in October of 2016. I met with Tyson who agreed to cover up some previous art work and turn that mess into a full sleeve on my left arm. He started with a touch up of an existing tattoo on my bicep to get the ball rolling. Once we had our price point set, it was continuous visits every two weeks or so until completion. Every time I have stepped into this place, it has been clean, welcoming and professional. I'm talking about....smelling good, organized and the whole crew saying "Hello" each and every time. My work by Tyson is clean and looks freaking amazing. I gave my artist free reign over my sleeve, and he did not disappoint in the least! I highly recommend anyone to get inked at this spot. Somehow my phone number wound up on their text list. I have never been a customer with this shop and I continually get texts from them addressed to someone named "Augie." I have replied multiple times that I am not Augie and do not wish to receive texts from them. I have now asked to be removed at least 4 times and I will begin filing complaints against them with new agencies every time they continue to text me. The fact that they do not respond to texts just tells me their customer service isn't great anyway. This is my first formal complain. If I get another text, I'll put one on facebook. Great tats...uptight BUISNESS Got a "free consultation $50 value" although all of my consults throughout my 20 year tattoo experiences have been free, but hey, thank you for that. I really liked the screening process, they wanted a specific idea of my tat idea style so they could match me up with the perfect artist. I was matched with Chado and it was perfect! I wanted two tattoos with significant meaning but I did not have a specific 'cut and trace' reference and needed an artist to actually draw for me. Chado gave me his time and we talked and planned out my pair of tats. I was shocked at the sticker price, never had I ever paid but a fraction of the suggested fee for any of my art but relieved at the option to finance. I tried to tell myself that it's the new market, personalized attention and reluctantly accepted the price. I came prepared to pay what was asked and Chado way more than exceeded expectations while charging less than quoted. I was relieved that I wouldn't have to finance the remaining balance. I'm extremely satisfied with my artwork from Chado. He was great company/conversation during the tat. We scheduled the second tattoo with intention to finance. I am also extremely satisfied with the aftercare procedures as it was effortless and provided excellent results. Now, that being said, the surrounding social environment was...for lack of a better word, uncomfortable. The only time anybody other than Chado engaged with me was for marketing purposes. I got roped into an ad before I was able to express my desire to abstain. I signed away my rights for marketing when I signed to get the tat; I thought that meant a pic or two, not videos. I realize I could have spoken up, but it happened so fast. Also, the atmosphere felt so uptight. I'm a part of the lgbtq community and my preferred pronouns were not acknowledged in spite of my insisting multiple times. Chado made an effort and I realize it's difficult at times for people but to be ignored or disregarded is hurtful. After the first tat being completed, I looked around to see what other artists would charge for the second. I was getting quotes for 30-50% less than the original quote. I went to Savage and they tried to set me up with another artist saying those places are cheaper cuz you get what you pay for. I resisted, they offered discounts off already ridiculously priced tattoos. I found out Chado had moved on to another shop. I decided since I had committed to Chado for the pair and he had already put so much thought and effort into it, that I would just let him finish my pair. He honored my financing option and still charged me way less than originally quoted. I'm super happy with my results. My experience tattooing with Chado was great. It was even better after he left Savage tattoo. read more

I do NOT recommend this place at all. Had a family member go in for their first tattoo and were completely ripped off. The tattoo was not at all what it was supposed to look like. He did not take any time to draw it out, to stencil it, and rushed it . Instead of giving my family member a tattoo that they loved, they gave them a tattoo that needs to be fixed and covered. Then they charged way too much for the tattoo. They were charged for what a professional artist would charge, and were given a tattoo that a child could draw better. This shop is all about the money. They give very little for way too much money. I have since asked around about this shop and every single person I have spoken to has said this shop has a reputation for charging a lot of money, and giving very little in return. I have also been told very few return customers come back. This shop does NOT give professional tattoos, but they won't hesitate to charge you as if they were professional. Do yourself a favor and do your research and ask around before you make a choice to come to this shop. You definitely won't get the tattoo of your dreams. If I could give more than 5 stars, I would! Kira is a tattoo goddess. I was so impressed with my entire experience. The shop, all of the artist there and of course, Kira! She is so amazing. She made my tattoo dreams a reality. I had an image, and she brought it to life more beautifully than I could have ever imagined. She took care of me by being able to mash all my reference pictures together, making my vision a reality, making sure I was comfortable, going above and being and just truly being a friend and a complete professional! I have no complaints, I would recommend any friends and family to come here. I wasn't skeptical at all, nor did I have any doubts during the process. It was all smooth sailing, and the outcome was gorgeous. Not only is Kira an extraordinary artist, but she is also a very beautiful and genuine soul. This tattoo was dedicated as an in memory for my brother who passed away in a tragic accident and meant the world to get. The owner refused to give me my deposit back and wouldn't do my tattoo without putting down ANOTHER deposit and was very rude. Ran into the artist at the bar, when I asked for my deposit back, his words were, "business is business." I got a call for a free consult and Brandon said Tyson was perfect for a detailed realistic piece but when I arrived I felt sort of duped. Tyson was sooo friendly but had no physical portfolio, his work wasn't anywhere on their website and I couldn't see anything but a few pics on his phone which weren't realistic at all. I immediately felt uneasy about the lack of photos and from what I saw it didn't look like work you'd expect for 125$hourly. I'm sure he had better work than what I was able to see and I wish I could have seen more. If you're trying to promote this artist please list his portfolio on your website.
