Cool hidden gem in Howard County open daily! There's several small businesses located in this space to include a wine bar (Boyd Cru), a dive bar, a chocolate shop, coffee, jewelry, a bridal shop and antiques. Each business has their individual hours! I only recently visted for the first time. I liked it so I'll return. Parking is available, but limited.

My school held and event here for the kids inside of the Savage Mill at the Great Room. It has been a few years since I was here last and they have definitely changed a little bit. There are a lot of different shops inside that appear to be new. The food options I noticed were the Dive Bar (Formerly Rams Head Tavern) and Java coffee bar. Since the dance inside of the great room was later in the evening most of the shops were closed. The interior of the building was still open and you could walk around and see all of the shops. It's a very historic and interesting building to say the least There are a lot of little shops that I would like to come back and try out. The pottery shop really caught my eye. It's always something that I wanted to try and they do have classes that you can attend.

I always wanted to stop here since I've been driving past this place for years, so my Husband said let's stop here since we were in the area. They have a variety of unique shops, an antique center, bridal shop, bakery, restaurants, a Fencing Club and more. They are located in this converted historic 1800 Cotton Mill. Several of the shops were closed, it was kind of empty, I think they get most of their business on the weekends. If you don't want the hustle and bustle of the average Mall, this is a unique place to shop at. They have free parking too.

Old things to new, Savage Mill tells a story of times of yesteryears... built in early 1800s the property now houses various shops and galleries. A fun browse and carve time and visit each of the 5 buildings. There are restaurants on site, grab a coffee at Brewing Good Coffee Company, pastries and the like from Roggenart, or a cocktail and bite at Dive Bar and Grille by the courtyard next to the little lot.. Please be cautious of shops that do not allow food or drink. Be sure to peruse the Antique Mall on ground level and stop by Terrapin Adventures by the larger lot. Parking is limited, the larger lot on Washington past Fair is nice walking distance. Foundry lot tends to be full, street parking is also available but heed to signage. Access throughout is limited, stairway access is plenty and some hallways are narrow.

So I was reviewing a spot Savage Mill right. One of the employees at that review left and came back with these croissant breakfast sandwiches from this bakery!! I had to have one!! You know me...LET'S GO!! . Where I am: @roggenart inside of @experiencesavagemill . Location Reviewed: 8600 Foundry St. Savage M.D. . Menu Includes: Breakfast Croissants, Classic Breakfast (Bacon, Sausage, Turkey, Chicken), Eggs Benedict, Omelettes, Melts, Cast Iron Pressed Sandwiches, Salads, Baked Goods, Coffee, & MORE! . Items Reviewed: Their Fruit Tart (with blueberries, strawberries, raspberries, & custard $7.95). DELICIOUS!! Extra Sweet, with a thick custard!! Their Lemon Tart (with a lemon custard $7.95). STAMP!! Lemony, thick, citrus DELICIOUSNESS!! Their Bacon Egg & Cheddar (on a croissant with avocado, & tomato $11.50). STAMP!! A buttery fluffy croissant, plenty of crisp bacon, a great sandwich!! Their Sausage Egg & Cheddar (on a croissant $9). LIKE THAT!! Again a buttery fluffy croissant, thick sausage, & cheesy eggs!! Their Quiche Lorraine (with cream, eggs, ham, cheddar, & onion in a pastry bowl $10). STAMP!! Thick, savory, meaty, & fluffy!! . Customer Service: The cashier was ON POINT!!! I asked her to get plates to eat there, but to also get to go boxes on the side. The SERVER brought my food out in to go bags...no problem, I gently asked for plates. She aggressively said I didn't ask for plates, and reluctantly gave them to me. Even when I said "thank you"....no response!! SMH...I did nothing to deserve that!! . Online Navigation: Easy . Ice Cream Sundays at Savage Mill. Happy National Ice Cream Day!
Mia L.

What a cool gem right in Howard County! Savage Mill is a shopping center but all of the businesses are local businesses. The building is old but you're bound to find something interesting there, whether it's a spot a grab a bite or a place to do some shopping. Honestly, it's a good place to walk around on a nice day. During my last visit over the summer, I went for their Ice Cream Sundays event. The event featured one of my favorite ice cream brands...Tillamook! It was the perfect treat and I enjoyed eating my ice cream outside on the Savage Mill grounds. One downside to Savage Mill is that parking can be tricky at times but do not despair! They have like three parking lots and the easiest one is the one all the way in the back of Savage Mill. I don't remember the name of the street but you will have to go past Savage Mill and make a left on the next street. You will have to pass the little parking lot that everyone usually flocks to and go further down the street. You will see the big parking lot to your left. Savage Mill is also home to Terrapin Adventures. So if you're seeking a little thrill by doing some ziplining or rock climbing, that is available as well.

Naked Wax by Tara!!!! This place have many different types of businesses here from an antique, and coffee shop, bakery, WAXING at Naked Wax to an small art gallery.. there's a local trail to walk off all the good eats within a few hundred feet. Let's get into Naked Wax by Tara!! Scheduling is a breeze it's all done online and she even offer late evenings and Sunday appts.. Pricing is fair cause yesterdays price is not todays price, inflation is a beast. Tara the owner whom I met during Covid yes I still needed to be stripped with no place to go. I admired how she persevered through Covid times and was able to sustain and maintain her business. Tara is super sweet, patient and full of recommendations to help you if you have troubled skin. She's not an esthetician but what I've done has worked well and it came from her input. She's gentle as gentle as the wax allows her to be. Waxing is not for the faint at heart lol. Her place is neat clean and decorated very nicely. A good tranquil peaceful vibe. If you're in the area stop by and checkout the local shops. Book with Tara for your next waxing experience Be ware if you love bread eat before you come the bakery will trap you!!!

Love this place. Different interesting shops. Restaurants and a coffee shop. Bridal dress shop too. There is also an obstacle course where you zip line through the trees. I have been here a number of times and always enjoy it. You will too.

I went to Girls Night Out last week at Savage Mill in Savage, MD. These events happen through out the year. They are free to attend. When you arrive at the welcome table, they give you a tote bag with a 5 dollar coupon that can be used at any participating stores in the buliding, and free glass of wine of your choice. Some of the stores give out free samples. I have been to a couple of them. They are nice and fun to attend. It's something to do with your girlfriends, solo, or with family. They also have resturants there as well.

TIP: Be prepared to find gems and treats to eat! Savage Mill houses shopping, food and lovely outdoor seating. Although, there are numerous shops and places to eat my main visit to Savage Mill was to the Antique Center. I explored the large Antique Center that has so many gems from clothing, collectibles, decorations, shoes, furniture and more. I found myself walking through every isle of the large center. I highly recommend planning a trip to visit this shop. You'll be surprised by what you'll find. PARKING: Free parking lot in the front of the facility. SEATING: Outdoor and indoor seating for taking a break from exploring or eating. COVID-19: [December 2020] Due to the current pandemic; face masks is required. There is hand sanitizer spot around the facility and markers to social distance.

A gas station, a dry cleaners, a nail shop and a donut shop. They also have four sit down restaurants, a take-out restaurant and a Dunkin. The only thing missing from the menu is an ice cream place. There's enough parking but the layout is limited. There is only one exit to the shopping center plus the one for the gas station. It's got a tight corner up against US 29 and Johns Hopkins Road. And there isn't a possibility add an outbuilding with a drivethrough. But it's clean, it has good coverage (I was here when it was pouring down with rain and I was dry) and it has enough lighting to feel safe.

So happy to see this place popping again! For years it was so dead over here. I think the Burger…read moreKing was the only thing that was left. I always felt it was such wasted space. Well no more! There's a Sprouts grocery store that's been open awhile now. There's now a TJ Maxx, Allure Nails, Moby Dicks, MyEyeDr, upcoming Chipotle, PNC Back, and a brand spanking new Isaacs (opened a few days ago). There's still space left for more businesses. I think a boba shop or a wine bar would be great additions. There's a big parking lot!

New stores have opened this year and others are coming soon. The center's sidewalks are lined with planters full of brightly colored flowers making it quite attractive. There is a small patio area between two of the stores with artificial grass providing some greenery. Replacing the a grocery store that relocated years ago is Sprouts, which features many organic and plant based foods. It has departments with produce, bakery items, a deli, meat and seafood, prepared meals to go, frozen foods, and pantry items. It also carries frozen crab cakes and a frozen pizza brand that were both rated "the best" in separate reviews. The crab cakes are Sprouts' own brand and the pizza is one I haven't found anywhere else. Much to my surprise a review of grocery stores rated Sprouts as number one. Also open in the shopping center are a new TJ Maxx, Ulta, and Moby Dick Kabobs. Planned businesses include a Domain Fitness, an Eggspectation restaurant. and a bank, among others. Burtonsville Crossing is located right off Columbia Pike and there is plenty of parking. I'm happy to see the area thriving again.
