I'm always in bowie but today I fell in love because I was going to get a salad from California Tortilla they have the BEST FOOD ever!! ... and Bowie for the Summer has a Car Show!! Every Sunday!! I'm BIG on Car Shows and so I love how they are slowly but surely making more and better eateries in and surrounding the town center and putting Quality Bakeries several have been black owned which is niice.& overall doing for the Bowie area!! That way you don't have to go all the way to Virginia you can just come to your local area!! I hope they keep updating the store , eateries and just the area in general giving everyone a place to lounge

Went to the Town Center this weekend to check out the 2021 Savor Bowie Fall Food Wine and Music Festival, that was taken place, they had a lot of vendors and entertainment, tons of food stands, and different food trucks. They had activities setup for the children. There were lots of people there, walking room was shoulder to shoulder, not really alot of social distancing going on, some persons were not even wearing masks due to the event being held outdoors, so needless to say I was only there for a hot minute.

I often find myself In the area looking for a good meal. The mall and shops never intrigue me. But they have great food options. This night I was in the area to go to the la fitness and I noticed this amazing tree.

    Good sangria,bring your wallet.

Can't believe that I haven't wrote a review lol after all I am the Dutchess of BTC. One of my favorite places to shop and dine in PG County. Favorite Restaurants Sardis Olive Garden Ya Mon Three Brothers First Watch Wing Stop Du Claws Favorite Stores Macy's Charming Charlie's Game Stop VS Bath n Body Works Express NY & Co Off Broadway Shoes Teavana Heavenly Cupcakes Jos A Banks Good customer services in most stores. Parking can be a pain in the ass but there's plenty of parking in the back. In warmer weather, there's outdoor events for the whole family to enjoy. And there's plenty of police presence here. Don't count on the lazy security chic who sits in her company vehicle for issues as she's busy taking selfies or eating... I do miss Rue 21 ):

There are lots of fun people and live music to set the stage for the evening. First time here and will definitely be back.

Awesome! I came here for wine and food tasting event. So the parking lots are pretty packed it free. Price: Free. Parking lot: Free. You can't miss the wine and food festival! The wine tasting is seriously free. Wow! Long lines tho. But it's worth it.

It's an okay plaza to shop, they have an okay selection but have plenty of decent places to eat. There's plenty of parking.

It had a great hobby shop, Marty's Card, Penn Auto, and one of my favorite, Mr. Chicken (great fried chicken although Mr. Chicken himself was an angry old fart). It was an open market and really couldn't compete with Freestate Mall, but I think it was more to compliment it. Then this moron bought it, changed the name to the Marketplace, made it into a mall. Originally, for the better. They got Peebles to move from Freestate to the new mall, put in a big Safeway, a nice craft shop and bulit Bowie's first multiple movie theaters. He probably charged too much; and slowly and surely all the patrons have left leaving this eyesore of a slum. Only Glory Days, Rite Aid and a dry cleaner is left. They need to knock it down and clean it up. It's embarrassing to see this place every time I drive by it. I hope the owner is proud of himself of doing nothing for decades. What a jerk.

Especially for someone like me who is vegan and pescatarian. I'm not a fan of Hermeste the people follow you around the mall being a nuisance, trying to get you to buy something out of their store after they rub your hands with lotion and sea salt that stinks and it throws off your natural body scent or whatever perfume and or cologne you put on that day. I do not like them. I do not like them. I do not like them. That is called soliciting and or downright harassment. you didn't want to rub your hands down with lotion and sea salt that they say is from the Dead Sea and then they try to overcharge you $65 $285. I don't like them. I wish they would leave me alone. They need to leave me alone and other people cause they don't like them and when you don't buy something from them, they start speaking in a different language and I think that is very disrespectful and rude.

Mostly because I absolutely hate the parking situation. No matter the time of day you visit, parking becomes this place where everyone just forgets common sense. I will admit, I always end up finding a fairly decent place to park, but it's not without some horrible traffic jam scenario. Once I do end up parking, walking through the rest of the lot let's me see just how horrible of a job people do with parking. My most recent visit, I was standing on the sidewalk on my way to the entrance and watched a lady park very badly. She rolled down her window and asked if she did a bad job. I told her yes and she ended up moving her vehicle, but still managed to take up two spots. Inside you will find a mostly single level mall that loops with a few crossovers as shortcuts. I appreciate how you can circle through Macy's and end up at the other side of the mall and continue your shopping journey. I do like the mix of stores here. There are your average national brands mixed in with some luxury and a dash of mom and pop stores. But I am sure there will be something you can grab here for yourself or a gift. Food court definitely has a good mix of places to grab a bite to eat.

It has gone through a couple of face lifts and management here has kept up with the times. The 7-11 might be the only original shop in the place. The Chinese restaurant has been there for a while, but I don't recollect if it is an original shop. Having said that, a number of grocery stores have come and gone. Target and Track Auto are no more. The Advance Auto is the 3rd replacement in the plaza. One of my favorite restaurant, the Bowie Inn is no more. Sadly. Outback has replaced it and that is not the same. Marty Cards is gone (which was originally in Belair Shopping Plaza). Planet Fitness is there and the back has some shops, but not necessarily the popular ones. Some idiot designed the parking lot. Only two entrances that funnel cars. The parking lot, a maze trap, was redesigned and once you get in, the traffic pattern is bad. A number of shops built in the middle of the parking lot also reduces the parking spaces. Looks like management wants the maximum number of shops in a limited space and didn't consider the consequence of really terrible parking.

I think PG's strength lies in its simplistic fashion with being able to drive to let's say Ross, Marshalls, Macys, park in the overcrowded lots, and go into the stores without having to bob and weave throughout the actual mall. The mall itself is only one floor instead of two. This can be a good thing but also a bad thing in terms of variety, flavor, and the dynamic experience of the mall. If the mall is going to be one floor, it has to be dynamic and interesting like Annapolis Mall. (I personally don't like Arundel Mills, Circle Mall of Death, so I won't use them as an example.) I have been an avid driver and known to hit many backroads in the DMV and Baltimore region, but hey when I just want to hit a close enough mall, PG is old reliable and has been for many years now. The Macy's is decent (I somewhat prefer Wheaton's for some things, but PG's is better for other things), DSW, Bath and Body Works, TJ Maxx, Target, and the food court are places my family heads to the most here. The food court is much better than Wheaton's in my opinion in terms of the quality and taste of the food. PG's Charleys owns Wheaton's Charleys in terms of a nice greasy, Steak and Cheese. (Yes, we have to watch our blood pressure and cholesterol I know.) I think PG's food court is a little more laid back than Wheaton's. I think the food is better than Wheaton's and Montgomery's food courts. (Neither of those malls can do a Charleys cheesesteak to save their lives.) I think parking behind PG where Macys and formerly were JC Penney is probably the most convenience or the side entrance going towards TJ Maxx and DSW. The front where the bridge is to the Metro station "Hyattsville Crossing formerly Prince George's Plaza" is too congested, chaotic, and a bit too fast-paced and unpredictable way too many pedestrians and cars trying to find parking and get in and out of the mall there, definitely not a fan of parking directly in front of Target. The surrounding restaurants are a nice addition and are better than the strip of restaurants on the side of Wheaton, although Wheaton's adjacent movie theater is much better than the neighboring tumbleweed University Town Center movie theater and mixed development next to PG. Olive Garden has been the most consistent sit-down chain restaurant next to the mall for folks to indulge in. There has been tons of gentrification and new development in this part of Hyattsville, so I have seen some changes over the years slightly with the demographics of the mall, but the heart and core of the clientele has remained consistent. All in all, PG has been that ole reliable for Hyattsville, Adelphi, Mt. Rainer, Greenbelt, New Carrolton, Chillum, other parts of PG, DC, you name it residents for a more casual, laid-back type shopping experience. Nothing too fancy, bougie, or over the top. Now folks into the hip-hop urban culture have numerous clothing, shoe, and accessory stores that cater to them here, so that is a niche and market here for the urban crowd, so the mall is recommended for that crowd. When I don't want to drive to Wheaton, Montgomery, Annapolis (No need for me to go out to Tyson's regularly I am not a mall rat like that) then PG is just that good friend that is there for you! It is a steady-eddy. It is consistent, the bowl of oatmeal and not the sexy meatball sandwich, it is the a little homely, quirky wife and not the supermodel, vixen girlfriend from college, yeah that's PG!
