A nice Towne Center outside of downtown Annapolis. The upside is the Whole Foods, my favorite store in Annapolis. The second is Bed Bath & Beyond, the 24 Hour Fitness and Target. Gordon Biersch Brewing Company and the Japanese Restaurant were great. The Cuban place (Paladar) is fantastic too. The Chophouse closed and it was such a shame. I loved that place. The stores around that area seem to have a tough time. Lu Lu Lemons and the Sur La Table left as well. read more

Bottom Line: If you have patience for the parking and outdoor elements, ATC has some lovely stores and wonderful eateries and restaurants. If you arrive at ATC and find yourself looking for Woodward and Lothrop then you know you are a long time Annapolitan! But, gone are the days of the tired and defunct Parole Shopping Center. Today the modern and voluminous Annapolis Towne Centre rises were union and confederate prisoners of war once camped in the 1860s (hence the name "parole"). Whether you are thinking about heading to ATC for shopping or dining, here are some tips for your trip: - This is a beautiful, clean and safe shopping center with lots of great places to spend money. ATC has a little bit of everything - shopping, dining, a gym, apartments and condos. I like the wild sidewalks and I appreciate the effort that they put into the landscaping. Also, they do a nice job with seasonal decorations. - Shopping options range from high-endish chains that you often find in strip centers like Anthropologie, Lululemon and Paper Source to grocery shopping at Whole Foods. Also, you will also find some local chains like Eastern Mountain Sports and Smythe. Bling. Bling. If you are shopping for your house, there are so many good options here for furniture like Arhouse and Ethan Allen. Target is the largest store in this center. - Dining options include fancy sit down places like Chop House and quick-food restaurants. My personal favorites for a nicer meal are Paladar and Brio. For a quick meal, I really enjoy Zoes and Qdoba. - As others noted, parking here can be kinda crazy. The intersection outside Whole Foods is one of the nuttiest in the county, I think. There is some street parking and two main parking garages for this center. Because of the layout of the shopping center, you generally need to be in the mood to walk. You can valet your car, but of course that is only beneficial if your destination is close to the valet stand. - The outdoor nature of this shopping center is that it is hot in the summer and cold and windy in the winter. Did I mention windy? The wind just whips right through the main corridor. If you are element-adverse, this might not be the place for you in January or July. On the upside, if you are good with chilly temperatures, then visit this place in the dead of winter for better parking! read more

Paladar Latin Kitchen and Rum Bar great happy hour. heart heart. Dude. Just like any other busy shopping center, you gotta be strategic about when you go and where you park. It's not like I live here (oooh sorry for the suckas who bought here and get stressed by the traffic). I don't hit all the stores at once. I go on a mission. Get what I need when it's not crazy busy and get out. Love it here. I try to park along the road by Lululemon on an early weekend morning. Or I park in the Target parking garage and can easily walk straight into the store. winner winner chicken dinner. Or I park in the garage across from Whole Foods when I hit that side of the Towne Centre. There's a few more cool stores too but I usually only hit those when I have time to spare....like when I'm waiting for Paladar's happy hour to start. read more

I must say I have mixed emotions with this town center, sorry towne center. One it's in Parole, and though the pall of unfortunate years and decisions does not geographically make this town center sorry, towne center, Annapolis. OK semantics aside it is a gem in our collective crown, great new national restaurants, shops and the Friday night concerts are one of the best gifts to AA county in ages. The continued property development here is both perplexing and diminishing to our once small town feel. We loved Zoe's but with the new high rise and parking GONE have yet to return. Valet helps but in a town loath to pay for parking it only supports the weekend visitors from south county, Bowie and beyond. read more

I'm always here, but never check-in...Story of my Life. Mariner Bay, Crosswinds, Grandview Luxury apartments, condos; The shops & dinning, with proximity to downtown make for a winning combo. Restoration Hardware, Whole Foods, Bin 201, Sur La Tab, Lou Lou's, Arhaus, Ethan Allen, Bassett, Brooks Brothers, Anthropology, Target, Secu, Talbots, Bed,Bath &Beyond, and 24 Hr. Fitness--to name a few. This is an obvious option when in Naptown, for a quick family outing or when showing people around town. It's convenient and doable, if you don't feel like dealing with parking drama by the docks downtown. ATC, is very walkable (2 blocks) ...you dine alfresco in the summer at Gordon Beirsch, Brio, Paladar or Cooper Hawk, and can valet park at both ends of the strip, (or park in Whole Foods & or Targets lot if you can't find on the street parking.) Great in the summer with free outdoor concerts, and very family friendly. Tip: Brio: for celebration with fam, Cooper Hawk: has a wine tasting bar, best view and chocolatier... Paladar is lively, if you want to catch a cocktail and feel frisky... Gordon for a casual brew and chew. PF Chang's... meh, not so much. Too bad they closed Chop House...it was lovely. read more

A Yelp CMYE introduced me to this moderate sized open-air shopping center and I've been back several times since. Remarkably easy to get to (even from Alexandria) and a nice mix of stores and restaurants - meeting every day needs (Target, Bed Bath Beyond) to specialty shops (EMS, Papersource, etc..) and even a few nicer furniture places (Arhaus, Ethan Allen, Restoration Hardware). VERY convenient to Rt 50. Parking is plentiful (at least in the off-season - probably packed when the tourists return) with several garages but every time I've headed out here I've be able to score street parking right near where I'm headed. Since I don't mind walking from point to point, I find the shops and walkways very convenient for targeted 'attacks' as well as just strolling. And I'd rather be sucking in the fresh air when browsing than the recirculated air of the local shopping mall. If you're planning on buying several items in a particular shop - I'd just plan on parking in the garage nearest it. I made it out here 3 times in a 2 month period and I have a feeling that's just going to be scratching the surface moving forward. read more

Terrible. Hands down the most poorly planned shopping community ever. It's huge, parking is a total hassel, and despite the side walks and creepy piped in muzak, the Towne Centre is NOT pedestrian friendly. There are a ton of stores, but they're very difficult to get to because of the parking structures. There are no throughways, no way to get from A to B unless you want to walk up and down the entire boulevard. Each store is bigger than the next, it's like a yuppie's big box store wet dream come true. But, alas, for us yuppies, there's no easy way to nip in and nip out. We must fight the traffic to get in, and fight the traffic to get out. When you're finally in there, the entrance to Whole Foods is confusing, and half of the other parking garage is cordoned off because it was built incorrectly. This place is a mess and who ever planned it should really take some urban planning classes. The ONLY saving grace of this awful, terrible, no good, Towne Centre, is Anthropologie. However, it's sucking the life out of local businesses downtown. Also, don't get me started on the high-end Applebee's this place is peppered with. Overpriced chain restaurant food still tastes like garbage no matter how much it costs. Finally, Towne Centre? Really? Ye Olde Englishe? read more

We love strolling the Annapolis Towne Centre - not sure why the fancy spelling but it's a great place to take the family or just do some shopping. There is a large Target, Menchies Froyo, Cadillac Ranch, Gordon Bierch, Whole Foods, Bed, Bath and Beyond, a Gym, The Paper Source, a salon?, Talbots, Brios, PF Changs, Arhaus, EMS, Brooks Brothers, Ethan Allen, My Eye Doctor, and a few others... Some great places to shop or eat. Parking garges on three sides and lots on the ends. Valet by the restaruants. Just all around great place to stroll or shop. Enjoy! read more

If I had to pick a shopping center, Annapolis Town Centre would be my #1 choice. There's a gym, a froyo shop, Whole Foods, Ethan Allen, Restoration Hardware, Anthropologie, a myriad of restaurants, and a running store. What's not to love?! The uncluttered layout, walkability, and outdoor lawn events in the summer time makes this place better than all the rest...at least in the Greater Annapolis area. They have a calendar full of free concerts from the summer through fall! Yes, they do! If you are looking for something better than the norm, I highly recommend Annapolis Town Centre! read more

This shopping area is way too congested with everything close together and too much traffic. I am not a fan and would not set out to go here. I stopped in because I was headed to the nearest Eastern Mountain Store. I also stopped at the Whole Foods while there. I do not plan to return. read more

Annapolis town center is like the nice boy you don't want to date. Sure, for all intents and purposes you should like him, but he has no charm, no je ne sais quoi, no personality. That's exactly what this town center is. It's nice, it has a lot of big box, chain, pricey establishments, but I could not point to one thing that made it unique, made it special. I think it has a lot of potential, but it fails in the neighborhood feel especially because the stores are so far apart. I could only imagine that it would be great for a mid-summer's day, but in the frigid cold, it's downright painful to walk in blistering cold while avoiding traffic. read more

My favorites in the centre are target, target and just target haha. Hate to say it but it's about the only store there that I can afford besides bed bath and beyond but target yet again prevails by selling a lot of similar items (unless you're an anxious bride going to make your wedding registry and add in those super expensive silverware sets) that they sell at bed bath and beyond. Actually have never gone to any of the restaurants because of their price. They aren't super out of budget but I could easily go right to whole foods buy similar ingredients and make my own version of their $25 entree. The menchies which is a frozen yogurt place is a great place to try I love being able to serve myself and add in all the toppings they offer. Parking can be terrible unless your parking in the garage connecting to the 24 hour fitness and bed bath and beyond or targets parking garage. Regardless of where you park if you're trying to look around be prepared to walk alittle. One good thing though is they do offer valet parking for a good price. read more

This is a beautiful town center with an exceptional shop and restaurant selection and gorgeous architecture. I come here on weekends when I find myself bored and just want a nice place to wander around. The shops are generally on the high-end of the scale, which is fitting for the area. There is a large selection of sit-down restaurants and fast-casual fare, so you'll always find something you're in the mood for. The big-a** Target is a gem, I mean jeez, it's a big-a** Target. Who doesn't love that? In comparison to other town centers, this one is in my top two, next to Waugh Chapel in Gambrills. The one in Bowie is always empty-feeling, sketchy and small in comparison. read more

Love. Lots of cool shops and restaurants. However, as a pedestrian, you better be quick on your feet when crossing the town center streets. I've found motorists to be extremely rude and will only yield to you if you're in the middle of the crosswalk (and even then, I wonder if they are really going to stop). read more

I enjoy coming out to eat and shop all around the town center. As the season has gotten colder the venue has gotten more crowded. There are several parking garages that offer free parking but they also offer valet parking. My complaint is for the valet - they insist on driving the wrong way into the garage. Where it clearly says "exit only", I have had to jump out of the way several times now. All because the workers are in such a rush to park???? The valet also has taken over more then half the free parking in the garage closest to the restaurants. Now that it's busier parking is at a premium. I drive a large pickup truck and had been parking down the ramp at the bottom of the garage all summer so as to not offend others by my truck sticking way out into the aisle. Granted it's in the "valet" parking section but being at the bottom and FAR away from any valet parked vehicle I felt I was doing alright. However tonight whatever worker was on duty got rather upset, I explained that there is no other parking spot (being a Saturday Night and Christmas is almost here) and I am not hindering their movements at all. I thought we were going to be alright. Little did I know that the parking attendants were pissed and decided to park other vehicles so close I couldn't open my doors to leave. There was plenty of other parking spots that they could have used. So off to see the manager... by the time I got back the "attendant" had moved the vehicles away. I will be hard pressed (if ever) to visit this area again. The Annapolis Mall is right around the corner and even nicer then the ATC. read more

I go here literally to just walk around. They have cool expensive furniture stores as well as some other shops! The restaurants all look yummy and will make you want to stop in. As for shopping I usually go to browse but I occasionally find something to bring home. Anyways it's usually pretty quiet around the time I go here and I like the atmosphere especially in the warm weather. read more

Now this is a town center. Bowie has a town center but it isn't. To be a town center, you must have dwellings, shops and restaurants. And this meets the mark. It is new, clean, beautiful, nicely designed and has some good shops and restaurants. Having said that, there needs to be more. I'm kind of torn, since they have some good stores, but with every visit, I don't spend a whole lot of time here due to the small selection. I wish there was more because I would visit more often. read more

A note on the security staff at the Annapolis Towne Centre: When contacted, the security staff are discourteous, unknowledgeable, and uncaring of events and occurrences in the Towne Centre. An average response to a legitimate question or concern by a resident or customer is "I don't know" or "No one told me," and isn't followed by any offer of assistance. Additionally, it should be noted that the security staff do nothing to stop people from drinking and littering in the parking garage each night, despite being informed about such activity. As a result, residents and customers accessing the Towne Centre navigate around beer bottles and cans, empty take-out containers, and other trash and debris while trying to park. Consistently poor performance for a supposedly high end center. read more

Many years ago, a simple,outdoor shopping mall was here where this Behometh now reigns. The old Parole shopping center, maybe built in the 60's, had shops on either side of a wide sidewalk, with parking all around. It was anchored by a Woodies and Sears and had small mom 'n' pop type stores up and down - shoes, pet stores, a woman's only gym -places for stuff real people wanted or needed. Easy to navigate and enjoy the window shopping. Then the old parole was torn down and after many years of disputed land use, we now have a place that is truly unworkable: bad parking, crazy traffic patterns, difficult pedestrian maneuvering, nutty traffic jams, chain stores you can find anywhere. This is progress??. I used to go the Whole Foods in Harbor Center regularly. No more since it has morphed into Whole Day (whole day parking, going up stairs or escalator, walking miles around all the square footage finding what you need). Now I go to Fresh Market in the space Whole Foods vacated. I used to go to Talbots in a strip shopping center near Annapolis Mall. I'd pull in to a parking spot 10 feet from the entrance. No more. Talbots is now three times the size with - I swear - cheaper and less appealing clothes than the old Talbots. Uninspired restaurants - foodies beware, chains rule. And no, it isn't packed with tourists since they can find the same dreck in Des Moines, Detroit or Dalles. Most tourists come to Annapolis for something more authentic than a copy-cat, newbie idea of a mall, I would think. read more

I bought here and HATE IT!!! They are way over priced, condo fees are ridiculous, the traffic is a nightmare, crime is starting to make this a bit on the dodgey side, and I'm stuck; you can't sell it without loosing your shirt. I just heard they may be raising our condo fees again (special assessment). Look elsewhere, you can do much better. read more

Surprisingly unpleasant town center. Excuse me, I mean "Towne Centre." And, ironically, the Annapolis Towne Centre isn't even in the Annapolis city limits. So, shopping there means you're drawing revenue away from the city. Traffic flow is very poorly designed. No dropoff lanes, so people cause mini-traffic jams when dropping off or picking up loved ones. Crosswalks are offset to the left and right from stop signs, so a driver can be in mid-turn before seeing pedestrians. There are many second-level shops and restaurants, yet there are no skyway crossings, so you constantly go up and down stairs. And, the shops themselves are offputting. A mix of snooty and unnecessary stores, overpriced restaurants, garde-B fast-food places, a Target (which for some reason, you must go up two sets of escelators to enter) and a Whole Paycheck (yawn). As a a comparison, the Short Pump Town Center (note the spellings of "Town" and "Center") near Richmond has better parking, is more pedestrian-friendly and offers less snooty shops. "Annapolis's" "towne" "centre" is not worth wasting time on if you're in towne for a shorte visit. read more

It's a massive eye sore; badly laid out and full of drug dealers at night. The "Upscale Target" is just another Target, Disheveled with poor service. Roads are poorly marked and confusing, clogged with cars and pedestrians. It is also another nail in coffin of the old town Annapolis. On the plus side.......It's better then the vacant shopping center that was there before but not by much. read more

Worse customer service I have ever experienced!!! I purchased a jacket on sale. When I unboxed it, there was a pulled thread. Contacted customer service to get it exchanged and they told me to take pictures an attach to email. It took them multiple days to reply just tell me to send it to another company to get it fixed. Completely, ridiculous! Why do they think it's ok to send damaged merchandise to customers and then have them get it fixed. Nothing said it was damaged, so why are they expecting me to pay for it! I will never buy anything thing from this EMS again! read more
