My first experience using Sav-On has been amazing. I work with smaller volume hard to plate small mixed size items. I was quoted a price and was met by the owner Chris when picking them up to explain that I had accidently been overcharged when originally categorized. He proceeded to correct that and showed me my finished parts. Way above my expectations. Learned a bunch about options and procedures. Done when promised. Very professional. Here i was with a small order and felt like i brought a truck load. I will be back again and again. read more

I brought in a box of engine parts for zinc plating and they misplaced half of them. After they located the 2nd half of my parts I made another trip to pick them up. When I got home I found a linkage was missing. I emailed them several times and they said they would look for it. Nobody has called or emailed me back about it so I'm considering it gone. I really want to love this business as I do a lot of engine restoration work but I can't have them losing hard/impossible to find parts because they are disorganized. It's a shame because the work quality is quite good. The price they quote is cash only so I can't even dispute it with my credit card. read more

Terrible experience. This place is the worst plating shop in the valley. The national, traditional standard practice in the industry is that you certify, as in, provide certifications for the processes you perform on a customer's project / parts. I have been in the machining industry for about 45 years and I have never dealt with a company that doesn't certify their processes WITHOUT A FEE FOR CERTIFICATIONS. You walk into the front door of this place and the lady behind the glass window looks at you as if you are inconveniencing her. A cold stare, a mild roll of the eyes. The body language, it's easy to read...... And then there's Alex..... What a goofball. I was given a price, (assuming that I would get certifications), for the project, no mention of a certification fee, only to get my parts back to the shop, notice there was no paperwork in the box. I call to get a packing list and certifications (again, standard practice within the industry), as we all know. Only to be told that it will cost me an additional $20.00 and that I need to revise my PO indicating the need for certs. He tries to send me a quote from back in 2024 that had a certification fee on it. He even sends the picture of the parts that were quoted (in 2024) showing the cert fee. But that fee was not on the current quote. And the parts he sent the picture of didn't match the parts they just processed. It's a circus over there with more clowns than you could hope for. Long story short, attitude and customer concerns don't matter to the folks at this place. There are plenty of plating shops in the Phoenix Valley. This should be your LAST choice though..... read more

The price has gone crazy. Over the last two years they have gone from $75 barrel to now $165 a barrel. Insane! And still no veterans discount. Very unhelpful office staff read more

BLACK OXIDE & PLATING MASTERS!!! I deal with Chris most often but from start to finish SavOn Plating is amazing! Stellar work and great turnaround times. Chris actually came out to introduce himself the first time as I was referred by a good friend. I honestly had no clue who to contact in Phoenix for plating services and I'm glad I hit the jackpot on the first attempt. SavOn has my business forever! Thank you Chris and the crew for doing quality work with awesome turnaround times. Because in manufacturing that's all that matters. Sav-On Plating - Metal Fabricators Near Me - Phoenix, Arizona

We had tried all the local plating companies and not one compares to the quality of the zinc plating from these guys. They are professional and prompt on their timeline. When I went there I spoke with one of their estimators Chris, he made it easy to find exactly what we needed gave us a great price and didn't waste any time. They even finished the job a day prior to when they said they would. I highly recommend this business 10/10. -European Motor Studio read more

I would never recommend this company to anyone. This is a very untrustworthy company to deal with and absolutely will not stand in correcting any mistake or do what they say they will do. I entrusted them with over a thousand dollars in nuts and bolts off of a classic car. Spoke directly to the store owner/manager not only about the process but also the rarity of the parts due to the concern of loss or damage. Every part is now missing, lost in shipping due to bad packaging by their company and also not insured even after the fact that we discussed most of these parts being impossible to find. For the last few weeks I was told they would not only refund the plating service, shipping cost, and file a claim for the parts. I even gave them a parts list associated with the cost if the parts were available for the claim. Now the company is telling me they will refund nothing and the claim is only 100 dollars. After asking to speak back with the store owner he is no longer available, with no email, no contact, and doesn't know when he will be available. If this is their view on customer service i don't know why anyone would want to do business with them. read more

Let me start off by saying WOW. They do amazing work! I have been using Sav-On for 7 years now, and they never cease to amaze me. I brought them a truck load of rusty truck parts, and upon picking them up, i was almost convinced they were all brand new. Top notch customer service, and very reasonable. It's great to know places like this still exist. I highly recommend, and plan on using them for all of my plating needs! read more
