I have always been extremely nervous about going to the dentist. People laugh when I tell them I used to need "gas" just to get my teeth cleaned. I have now "graduated" from that and no longer need gas and some procedures I can get thru without it!! From the front desk staff to the dentist, the entire staff is great!! Don't put off taking care of your teeth because of fear!! Call them up, go in and talk to them, explain to them exactly what your fears and needs are. I promise you, you will not be sorry. They have the most up to date equipment and procedures available --- and they also offer a dental insurance plan, and accept Care Credit credit card. I am sure they take other credit cards, and probably actual cash! Whatever, do not be "afraid " of going to the dentist. They will put you at ease, no matter what your needs are. I have my own customized plan that works for me --- I know I need more than two cleanings a year for myself. So I started going quarterly, now I go three times a year. It works for me!! So much better for me --- and my teeth! Dr. Dyer and Dr. Kolath have both worked on my teeth -- either of them I would recommend --- as well as any other dentist they have working there -- because sometimes the two of them are so busy, that third dentist is the only one available, don't worry, they dentist is just as competent. Usually it is a recently graduated dentist, so you know they are up to date on the latest and greatest in the dental field. I just had an appointment yesterday -- had a crown that was ??? years old, it came off, they put it back on temporarily on Tuesday, with the understanding that as soon as they could get me in, I would need a new crown (it had a hole in it and was beginning to break apart) and at the same time I needed a new filling in another tooth. Got me in on Thursday - I was there from 1:30 till around 4:15 and they replaced my original crown, and determined that a crown would be my best bet for the other tooth (because of the amount of decay under and around the filling). So in that short time, Dr.Dyer and his assistant were able to get both permanent crowns made and on my teeth! And I was on my way! How many other dentists can do that? Oh, and not all that time was spent in the dental chair ---- for about an hour while my crowns were being made - I was in the massage chair!! Another great feature at this office - for when you have a longer procedure. My family (out of state) could not believe I was getting a chair massage while I was waiting for my crowns. They were amazed that I could get permanent crowns in one visit. I know why Dr. Dyer has been voted best dentist in Mesquite for years. I highly recommend this practice. I just hope no one has any plans for retirement or moving away from this practice! I don't want to move or drive farther to continue seeing them.

They also claimed that I needed to replace my crowns for an additional $6,000. The office manager Jonathan Bailey, told me they could polish my teeth, but then refused to provide any cleaning at all unless I agreed to the deep cleaning. When I became upset about this, Dr. Saad Yoused said, "We will do nothing for her!" Notable, he wasn't even the dentist examing me ----Dr. Angela Shein was the one who evaluated my teeth and recommended all this work. Ironically, I visited another dentist five months ago who never mentioned anything about needing a deep cleaning. During this visit, Rebecca Patterson was calling out my gum measurements, and I noticed she was reporting 5's and 6's, while my previous appointments consistently noted 2, 3, and some 4's. I genuinely feel this office is more focused on money than patient care. I left without any cleaning or polish and will never return!

She did not try to see where I was coming from only told me that I needed to reschedule my appointment which I could not do since this is a tooth emergency and obviously can't make time for it this week. So as a patient I felt like a burden to their day and felt guilty for having my 4 extractions as though they could barely tolerate my presence. I have asked for feedback to find out what I might have done to so offend them, but they have not returned my call. I just felt awful, as though I had done something wrong and I am not sure that's the normal experience for new patients. Again, I hope to hear why they found me so disdainful. But it really was so uncomfortable I now feel worse (guilty) and worry about returning for subsequent care.
