Took my car in Friday, was charged $930 for a $80 part (5hr labor for a part that should take at most 2hrs) and drove off with more issues that could've caused my car to catch on fire. Was also told I needed new breaks all around which was also incorrect. Total would've had to spend over $3000. Luckily I took it to another shop in which they confirmed my breaks only needed lubricant & will be getting all else fixed that was messed up at richards. Expenses aren't the issue as clearly taking my car to a mechanic l'm ready to pay to get my car fixed. PLEASE find a genuine and honest mechanic because this is not it. I highly DO NOT recommend this place and would recommend another shop I got the job done at for half the price (4.5k) and did amazing. now my car is running better than ever. even if I did decide to go with Advance Automotive, I HIGHLY doubt the job would've been as good.

I called around and everyone gave me the same answer.... until I called Lohmans. They had the part, said they'd get me in and out same-day, and gave me fair price well below the others. I've had experience fixing this part of a car and know how long it takes and how much parts should cost. Lohmans was right in line with market costs. No nickle and diming, just a good quality family owned place. They even gave me a ride to a local restaurant so I didn't have to wait there, and when I returned they had lightly cleaned the outside of my car! Don't be fooled by the shop. I had just had received my 70 Oldsmobile 442 back from the engine manufacturer (Mondello Performance) for over heating issues. I took the car out for any easy drive from WSMR to LC. 2miles onto 70 the car vapor locked and died. I had the car towed to Baird's Automotive because they were the closest shop. It was a great find for me. The shop fixed the vapor lock issue. When I drove it home I found I was still having overheating issues. Called the shop and came back in. Total repair took about 2 weeks. The issues turned out to be a ballooned radiator and insufficient air movement. Which lead to overheating and a header gasket leak. Baird's worked with Mondello the entire time to ensure warranties on the engine were not violated and engine specs were maintained. Much of the delay time was parts shipping from Mondello to Baird's. Baird's called and informed me when they agreed and disagreed with Mondello, but maintained a professional environment regardless of agreeances. Thanks To the service, leadership, and mechanics at Baird's Automotive, the "Blue Beast" is running great again.
