However, they clearly were not licensed massage therapists, which is what I expected from the website. My wife and I signed up for couples deep tissue massages. What we got instead was a general rub-down with some pretty good hand and foot work. My masseuse spoke literally no English. My wife's masseuse spoke some English and translated what I said to Chinese. This made it impossible to get a massage that focused on the muscle groups that needed it. There was also pressure to pay with cash instead of a credit card, which I didn't appreciate. I wonder if ownership of this business has changed at some point.

She listens to what you are looking for (if your shoulders have been stiff, or if you want a relaxing massage that day), she's really strong, and very skilled at making knotty muscles behave! I love that I can ask her for the sciencey-answer to what she's doing or what muscles are locked up; it empowers me to learn more about my body and how to care for it afterwards! The spa itself offers convenient online booking, it's very clean and peaceful (and looks down onto the ocean!), and their customer service is top notch. I use their Wellness Plan option, which offers a year of monthly massage appointments for a slight discount. Love it!! I hope this place stays here forever. And the fact that it's right beside the ocean means that if you want to continue relaxing after your massage, you can just walk downstairs and sit on the beach.

I left pretty disappointed. 5 Stars facial -- The facial was awesome. The esthetician was so sweet and bubbly. She explained what was going to happen and her positive energy alone was 5+++ Stars. I would go back solely for future facials with her :) The massage: it was by a girl named Jennifer. After reading the reviews I'm saddens that I got a newbie vs. Marisa. It was the worst massage I have ever gotten. When the masseuse came in to meet me after I had spoken to the esthetician she was not warm - and bland. I told her I wanted deep tissue & to not be gentle. It started off ok, but as she got further along I thought "did I pay for a massage or merely to be inadequately rubbed with lotion". You know the massage isn't great when you're left laying there wondering when it's going to be over and it feeling like it's taking forever. I have had better relief when getting out of a long shower. Total disappointment ... :(

I…read morewas dealing with a pretty severe tension headache and decided to give a head spa treatment a try. Even better, they were able to accommodate me as a walk-in. The receptionist recommended the D4 Signature Head Spa, and it was exactly what I needed. The service included a head massage, scalp cleansing, hair wash and treatment, upper shoulder massage, hydrotherapy, and blow-dry. At $85, it was worth every single penny. Mandy took care of me, and she was absolutely wonderful. She was professional, attentive, and made the entire experience incredibly relaxing. The combination of the head and shoulder massage, scalp treatment, and hydrotherapy helped melt away so much of the tension I had been carrying. By the end of the session, I felt refreshed, relaxed, and so much better than when I walked in. The spa itself was clean, peaceful, and welcoming. It felt like a true escape from the stress of the day. I was also impressed by the extensive menu of services they offer and am already looking forward to coming back to try more of them. If you're dealing with stress, tension headaches, or simply want to treat yourself to a relaxing experience, I highly recommend D4 Season Head Spa. Thank you to Mandy and the entire team for such a fantastic first visit!

Payment is due at the end of your service - Head Spa Options: Ranging from 30-90min, there is a variety of options you can choose. If in doubt, talk to the staff. For me, I ended up switching from the luxury head spa option over to the Chinese Herb Spa due to my hair health and type. - Chinese Herb Spa: For those who are wondering about this option, the key difference is the products used. Overall, I loved the natural scents like ginseng and I do enjoy how my scalp felt after the session. Products didn't sting my head and my hair felt so light and airy after, even with the blow dry at the end. - Staff: Friendly and considerate :) - Interior: Quiet and relaxing. Do note that the space is divided by curtains vs actual rooms (except for when you get the blow dry or the changing room). - Other note: For the hair spa sessions, you are provided a towel like dress/top for your upper body and a basket to store your personal belongings that will be kept by your side for the whole time. Overall, this was a fantastic way to pamper oneself and I can't wait to come back again.

Unfortunately around the time I started full-time remote work, my massage spot at the time stopped taking my insurance. It has been challenging finding a provider that takes my insurance AND does not have a long waitlist. Anyways, a few months ago, I slightly pulled my back during our move to the new apt. I decided to try Elements Massage on Holman mainly due to its convenience of being close to home. I was scheduled to see Emily, and have been seeing her since then. What I appreciate about Emily is that she takes the time to educate you on not only the cause of pain and tension, but ways to improve your self-care at home: utilizing ice packs, stretches, salt soaks, etc. Incorporating these in my own routines has made a huge improvement in my post recovery workouts and back/neck tension. At my last session, I was feeling so tired that I told Emily I felt like I will pass out on the table. I let Emily do her magic and she delivered giving me nice, relaxing full-body massage. It was such a great treat, and a testimony, on how much my back/neck tension has improved in few months. I enjoyed it so much that I booked a 90 min session with Emily next month. While you can book single sessions, the membership at Elements is such a great deal. I went with the $99/month for one 60 min session which can carry over, gift to a friend, or you can pay a little extra to extend the time. Honestly, this is one of the best investments you can do for your body and I couldn't be more enthusiastic to recommend Elements Massage.
