I called to discuss this with the office staff, Morgan, then the office manager Michelle. They were incredibly rude and unwilling to waive the undisclosed fee. Michelle flat told me that they will be reporting him to the credit bureau if they don't get their money. Mind, my son has great insurance and had scheduled his surgery. They still charge $200 without X-rays. This was literally to explain the procedure and watch a 5 minute video. I would be fine with it if they had told us beforehand that there was a $200 charge. This business practice is predatory and unethical. I cannot believe how despicable they treat their patients. Clearly they only care about money.

My dentist, Dr. Jeffrey Austin, referred me to a couple of doctors to have my 4 wisdom teeth removed. I could have (and probably should have) shopped around a little more to see if there were any other surgeons outside of my dentist's recommendation, but I figure they will all have the same rate; and the search-lite version I did seemed to prove that Dr. Vincent Montgomery wasn't a bad apple, or at least no one had left any bad feedback online. I like him as much as a person that just spent $2,000 to get some teeth yanked out can like anyone. Of course, I didn't necessarily have to pay all of that... yet. I have insurance and he's in my network. He does seem to charge quite a bit though - $110 for me to come in and waste about 40 minutes to see him for 5 minutes to answer questions. The rest of it was waiting around and watching a video that actually made me more nervous about the procedure than I was before. He is nice, pleasant, answered any and all questions I had, had a nice, up-to-date facility, and the girls aren't too bad about getting back to the patients or making them wait too long. On top of that they have a line you can call even if it is 10pm to talk to the doctor if you are truly worried about something. I know because I did this. The telephone service they use even followed up to make sure the doctor had called me back! In all seriousness, DON'T look up anything about the wisdom teeth procedure. Just listen to what your doctor tells you. You are not as susceptible to Dry Socket as the internet tells you! One nice little thing - the doctor noticed when I changed my nose stud that I had in during surgery to a ring - it shows the familiarity he has with his patients. He may not spend too much time with them, but he gets the job done right.

I was without these prescriptions for 4 days and my face BLEW UP after surgery. We got other prescriptions, but nothing that helped with the swelling. We were confused and not sure why my face was so swollen as I was following all of the guidelines for recovery. We called on Monday as soon as they opened (my surgery was on Thursday and my face didn't swell badly until Saturday) and our nurse informed us that we didn't get these meds that were needed. It was the most uncomfortable I'd ever been and knowing that it could've somewhat been avoided or less extreme was insanely frustrating. I will always remember my wisdom teeth removal as a horrible experience.

They are located in a lovely building that was very easy to find, with plenty of parking. We were immediately greeted and checked in. After a short wait I was taken back to get a full panorama x-ray. During the consultation and exam, Dr Miller discussed my various options. Very professional and well done. I was then taken to the room where they got me set up and ready for my broken molar to be pulled. All staff were helpful, kind and professional. Everything was handled in a timely manner and I never felt rushed or overlooked. The process of doing a tooth implant is a detailed process and Dr Miller and his staff, showed me today that they know exactly what they are doing. So I look forward to getting my pulled molar replaced with a dental implant. Highly recommended as an oral surgeon.

In 13 years, I've NEVER heard a surgeon obtain a MORE thorough informed consent. Having the staff begin training in the instrument room and move beyond that is so smart and on-point! He even insisted that he take the time to ease my anxiety over my kiddo's anesthesia and procedure by showing me the procedure room and equipment! Bravo, Dr. Miller. FANTASTIC JOB! UGH! A German dentist fixed multiple issues when I lived there for a year in 2015. In 2016, I found Dr. Potts - and I am sooooo happy I did! He's a great guy and and excellent dentist who truly cares whether the color of a crown matches my own teeth. He makes absolutely certain that the crown is set into my gum line correctly. He adjusts _crowns_ to fit my other teeth properly, not the wrong way around. Dr. Potts is GREAT! And all the staff are fabulous, too! I have never had a bad experience at Dr. Potts' office.

We were referred to NPD by a couple of good mutual friends so I was hopeful that this would be a good fit for our family. Dr. Ward was great with our children and when my son needed treatment we trusted her with his care. The kids made comments about not being fond of the hygienist, apparently she was rough, and undermined things we told them. For example one thing was she told them their dad doesn't need to help them brush, when that's not her place to tell us we can't brush our kids' teeth during the evening to make sure they get a good cleaning at least once a day. Despite that we continued taking our kids to their office. It wasn't until the hygienist recommended that both of my kids come in every 3 months because of gingivitis that we went to another dentist for a second opinion because at first it was just my daughter that needed to be seen every 3 months and then it was my son. The other dentist said she didn't see why the hygienist recommended every 3 months because their gums weren't that bad compared to most kids their age, and that recommendation would have never crossed her mind. When we went back to NPD at the normal 6 month appointment they seemed put off that we went somewhere else for an opinion and an in between cleaning. Any time someone in the medical industry doesn't appreciate a parent being involved in the care of their child and has an issue with them getting a second opinion that should be a HUGE red flag. We explained to them that the kids were seen in between at another dentist, who took our kids' health insurance, just for a cleaning only to break that plaque cycle, but we planned on having them seen with Dr. Ward for the regular 6m appointment (with our main dental insurance) and she would still do all treatments, x rays etc. We were surprised when we were told that wasn't an option because we weren't "following their recommended care plan". We made it clear that we WERE following their "recommended" care plan with the kids having that in between cleaning, we just weren't willing to pay out of pocket for the extra $300 every 6m for the in between cleaning for the two kids' cleanings when we could get it covered somewhere else. A cleaning is a cleaning, and if they really just wanted the plaque cycle broken every 3 months then we were following that recommendation. A recommendation should be just that, a recommendation. The way they treated this situation was more of a requirement than a recommendation. They may want to use the word require next time when making a requirement, and not call it a recommendation when it's not. My husband said it sounded like a money grab at this point because we WERE taking their recommendation but since it wasn't with them they weren't willing to work with us. I first thought if we would have had a different hygienist maybe things would have worked out. Then again it sounds like the office in general wasn't willing to work with us. As much as I'm trying to give Dr. Ward the benefit of the doubt, she runs the show and we ended up where we did. My husband and I are both educators and very involved in our community and have recommended many people to this office. However, we won't be recommending anyone here in the future.

They have really thought out how to take care of child patients. I did not once feel uneasy about him here and that's from an anxious mom. The office is soo fun and happy. The atmosphere is spot on. He literally started in with it when he was sticking a needle in my jaw. Talk about feeling trapped! Do you *tell* the guy with the sharp metal instruments to knock it off? Do you ever feel comfortable or entirely trust him again? Nope, nope, and nope. And it wasn't just to me; I could hear him going on about it in the other exam rooms and out in the hall the entire time I was there. This really breaks my heart, because like I said, I've been going to him forever (for what it's worth, I've always been happy with the dental care I got there), and I love a lot of the women who work in his office, but I honestly don't feel like I can go back. When I scheduled the appointment, the receptionist was rude and repeatedly cut me off while I was trying to explain that my father has dual insurance coverage, including Delta Dental Premier as his primary plan, which covers 90% of the treatment he needed to be seen for. A friendly suggestion: when a patient is coming in for a consultation, it may be better to wait until after they've actually been evaluated by the dentist before leading so aggressively with financial discussions. It creates an uncomfortable first impression. At this point, I would strongly recommend considering a private practice over chain dentistry. I'll update again after the appointment.
