Hurricane Beryl Home Owners Beware! Estimates are not free!…read more The workmen showed up smelling like marijuana. Then he proceeded to tell me he was going to charge me 1 thing & the insurance company another to "help me out". That's insurance fraud! I was told he would check out what was damaged. The next thing I knew he was charging me $200 for a tarp. I did not ask for that! I asked for an estimate for the damage to be repaired. Stay sharp, everyone. This company definitely pulled a fast one!

I will be contacting this company again very soon. Their work is fantastic!…read more I moved into my new home the latter part of May of this year. It was so beautiful, but the walls just didn't sit well with me. The colors didn't pop. I contacted a company my friend told me about first because she had been using them for years. I did a test run with the walls in my bathroom and the cabinets. I was so disappointed. The color was not what we agreed on and it took them two weeks to finish due to different issues popping up. I was fed up and contacted T&J Renovations after a quick google search. I sent them a message to get a quote and got a response within 5 minutes. They came out the same day to look over everything and we scheduled something for the following day. They were on time, friendly, and finished the same day...which is what I had expected from the previous company, but anywho...they were great! This company really turned my frown upside down. Even their prices were better than the previous company my friend told me about. Fast, friendly, efficient...what more can you ask for? To make matters worse, this dude is straight up unresponsive to text and yelp. Bro took my $1800 and left. Went completely AWOL. On top of that, the work he did damaged my AC which took another $800 to fix. I highly do NOT recommend choosing this company at all. Seems like a scam to me.

I scheduled an estimate with Jeff, who told me he would text to confirm our appointment at 8 AM on…read moreThursday. I provided him with my cell number during our call. Later that evening, I received a call saying that my appointment wasn't confirmed via text, so it was never booked. I explained that I never received a text, and Jeff admitted he had sent it to the wrong number. Despite acknowledging his mistake, he said the earliest he could reschedule me was a week later. While it was frustrating, I agreed to reschedule. When his team came to provide a quote, they quoted me $375. I mentioned I had a $50 off coupon from their website, so I expected the total to be $325. Jeff informed me that all discounts were already included in the $375 price. I asked why they advertise a $50 off coupon if they don't honor it, and his explanation was that the coupon was for same-day cleanings only. His crew had already mentioned that 99% of their jobs are same-day cleanings, so I questioned why they advertise a coupon that would apply to almost no one. Instead of addressing my concern, Jeff responded in a condescending manner and continuously blamed me for misunderstanding. My issue is simple: they don't honor what they advertise and treat customers poorly when legitimate concerns are raised. If you can't provide a real discount, remove the coupon from your website, and treat customers with respect. I would not recommend this business.

Outstanding Handyman - Highly Recommended!…read more I live in Crosby, Texas, and had a tough time finding a reasonably priced handyman. After doing some searching, Danny was one of the first to call me back. His rates were fair, and I decided to go with him to install a ceiling fan, mount a TV, and install a bathroom cabinet. I'm so glad I trusted my instincts--Danny did an outstanding job. I actually received another quote that was about $20 cheaper, but I've learned the hard way that sometimes trying to save a buck ends up costing more in the long run. That definitely wasn't the case with Danny. His work was thorough, neat, and professional. He even stayed longer than he originally estimated to make sure everything was done right. I voluntarily gave him a little extra because he truly earned it--and honestly, I wish I could've given him more. He was worth every penny. I didn't have the lightbulbs needed for the ceiling fan installation, and without hesitation, Danny offered to come back on Sunday after church to finish the job. Thankfully, my daughter was able to run to Walmart and grab what we needed while he completed the other tasks. It just goes to show how committed he is to his work and making sure his customers are satisfied. Danny is a rare find these days--reliable, honest, skilled, and courteous. He'll definitely be my go-to handyman from now on. I highly recommend him to anyone looking for quality work at a fair price.
