Took me a while to post this review. I found them on Yelp hoping the reviews are legit. Some of them probably are. And as much as I would like to give them a good review, them being our last contractor before we finally moved back in our house (after 20 long months of being displaced after Hurricane Beryl), it has been stressful cleaning up after the mess these guys have done to our home. And to this day, we're still finding paint splatters on floors, appliances, furnitures, doors; unpainted areas; uneven paint; it never ends. If you own a home, and you have things inside your home, don't hire these guys. They don't respect your property. Shoe prints on top of our table cover, it's so bad we had to throw it away. We had just installed wood floors on our stairs and there's a lot of scruff marks a thick dirt that we had to scrub it clean. They painted over nails. Paint was dumped on our toilets and sinks, and on our lawn. A simple search confirms that these are ILLEGAL. They tried to deny it but then later admitted to it when confronted. We brought up a lot of these issues shortly after they "finished" and they did come to try to correct many of it. And for that, I give them credit for. But I'm still finding paint splatters on several items, to this day, as we're working our way towards fully settling back in our home. ADDITIONALLY: before they came, we had our home thoroughly and professionally cleaned twice by another contractor specializing on air quality. And those cleaners have video proof of their work so we have evidence of the condition of our home (cleanliness-wise) before these painters roughed it it. I'm truly disappointed and I don't recommend this company to anyone at all. read more

Being a first-time homebuyer is already stressful enough, but then to find quality, trust-worthy painters on top of that was a challenge! After shopping around for estimates (quotes) we finally landed on New Generation Painters and met Julio - the Owner! He comes with fifteen plus years of experience and got his start out in Florida! Julio was responsive, professional, and offered very fair and competitive pricing compared to other painters around houston! Julio and his team did quality work when painting the interior of our home! We had the entire place painted, except for the primary bathroom! Julio was there to guide us through the process from start to finish and even educating us on the types of paints to use to help us make an informative decision based on our budget and goal! We ended up going with Sherwin Williams Greek Villa satin finish and flat color for the ceilings! PSA: make sure to verify and confirm that the painters do two coats of paint! Some paint companies will only do 1x coat of paint ! My one star deduction was that post-completion, there were paint splatters left on all the doorknobs of the house that we had to go back and clean up ourselves! But beautiful work and great pricing! I've recently used their service. While I was skeptical about interior painting (as it's something I've never had done before), the finished job came out nicely and I appreciated their service. There was a miscommunication at the start of the project, but in the end, I left satisfied. Julio and his guys did a good job and I feel like my place has more life to it than it did before. Julio was very responsive leading up to the job. 3-4 weeks prior to the job he was willing to talk different paint brands/colors and redid the quote fairly when the job kept evolving. No matter the time of day, he was always extremely polite, respectful, and professional. Him and his team work extremely efficient. Originally quoted me 4 days of work, but was able to complete the job in 3 days with no sacrifice in quality. At the end of each day we'd look at all the progress and he'd ask for my feedback all the way through. His team did an amazing job and anytime I asked for touch ups or asked for something different, they were always willing to make me happy. Painters typically are very messy and don't like cleaning up after themselves in my experience. Julio's team was the complete opposite. They protected everything adequately and when they were finished they cleaned up after themselves. Not once did I have to direct them to cleanup paint in the house, made working with them a breeze. Pros: affordable, dependable, courteous, respectful Cons: quality of work If price is your main deciding factor then this is your answer. They will get the job done within budget and time. However, we have had the unfortunate experience where there remained paint splatter, messy edges, one side of door completed etc. After meeting with several contractor we gave the job to Julio based on his drive to do better for himself. Ok so this is an honest post and a long post! We chose Mr. Julio because his price was good and the reviews I saw on Yelp and other websites were good. When it came time to paint the entire interior of our house (walls only, the baseboards were new and already installed and painted) Mr. Julio showed up the 1st day for about an hour or so and close to the end of the project only. For the most part, he had two temporary contractors painting our home. I'm going to start off with the good stuff1st: Mr. Julio allowed us to change the color from a light "blueish" gray to a more "true" gray. It was a simple change and it did not affect much. Mr. Julio was always quick to respond. The bad part in working with Mr. Julio were as follows: #1 In our written contract and during the estimate/ walk through he agreed to use Behr paint. That was the paint I trusted and was familiar with. Mr. Julio also quoted us the price that included the cost of Behr paint. Right before the start of the project Mr. Julio asked if he could use Sherwin-Williams, after I told him that I preferred Behr paint, he then asked if he could speak with my husband and that there would be an extra charge to use the Behr paint( Behr paint was the written contract). My husband finally agreed to use Sherwin-Williams after Mr. Julio insisted (red flag #1). #2 Contractors painted our home. While Julio was there part of the 1st day, they taped off everything including the baseboards and painted the walls. They did a great job the first day. However, over the next 8 days they got sloppier and sloppier. There was paint run over on to the baseboards, cabinets, door frames, doors, mirrors, and floors. Several of the light switch and outlet plates were broken or cracked after they removed them to paint. A bathroom fixture was broken and they just left it without telling us. It was an absolute nightmare. #3 Mr. Julio rushed the job which I think played a huge part in the sloppiness. Other contractors (4 to be exact) told us that due to the size of the house, it would take about 3 weeks on average. Mr. Julio finished the house in about 9 days. #4Mr. Julio said they would clean up the trim and wasted paint at the end. But in reality that never happened. The house is a large house, almost 4,000 sq ft. The two contractors (who quit) only touched up a few areas under the supervision of Julio. Another gentleman that worked for Julio came that next Saturday morning to finish the touch ups. Mr. Julio told this man it should only take an hour but when the gentleman saw the amount of touch ups that needed to be done he became a bit overwhelmed and stated that Mr. Julio did not tell him how much had to be done. I still ended up having to paint and touch up the place the gentleman could not finish. The gentleman got to my house at 8am; he did not leave until after 11am AND he still didn't finish. #4 We paid Mr. Julio the total amount in three separate payments. The last payment we only paid him half of that payment because of the touch ups still needing to be done . At that point Mr. Julio's only focus was to get that last half of the payment. We are still cleaning up paint spills and splatters off the floors and cabinets of our home. Lesson learned, You get what you pay for! My advice to you is to choose someone who is willing to take their time and do the job RIGHT! read more
