I found Luxz Painting and Design through Yelp shortly after we purchased our new home. The entire interior of the home needed to be painted, and had quite a bit of wood panelling that needed to be repaired. We also had a lot of holes in our drywall due to a plumbing project we had just completed. Additionally, we wanted to change the hinges of all cabinet doors to ones that are hidden. Eddie gave us the most reasonable quote, was patient with me as I decided on colors, and got the job done in record time. His team accommodated us as we moved into the home before the job was complete, and made sure to have our master bedroom done first so that we would have a place to sleep. I am selling my house in Houston that has been a rental for the last 4 years. It needed some work, mostly cosmetic. Had them come out for a quote after seeing their work on a neighbor's house. After not hearing anything for over three weeks I sent him a message and gave them a call. They told me both times they would get back to me with my quote, but after more attempts to reach him, and claims he was "out of town", I still have not heard anything six weeks later. I am assuming they don't want to do the job, which would be fine, but if they had told me that from the beginning I could have found someone else in the six weeks I wasted waiting for a quote and trying to chase him down. They do pretty good work from what I have seen but their inability to even respond with a quote or let me know they weren't interested gets them one star. read more

I am extremely happy with the job Luxz did on my painting. Eddie came out and talked me into doing less work than I had planned. That saved me significant money. I intended to paint the entire exterior. Eddie explained that I could do just the railings on our decks, and then paint the entire house in a few years. Best painters in town. Eddie and his crew were professional and fast. They prepared and painted my two story drab brick house, brick and trim, the detached garage and a 2nd story deck in 2 weeks. They painted my outdoor light fixtures pressure washed everything including my driveway. I have never been so excited to write a review! I Had a very challenging paint job on my home with all the trim, crown molding, woodwork, and 20-foot ceilings that needed to be painted. The amount of time and hand painting detail was imperative as the walls are textured and faux painted - I found Eddie and Luxz Painting & Construction Services on the internet. After 4 other bids, I chose Eddie/Luxz. It was the BEST choice I could have made. It began with meeting invite emails to confirm EVERY meeting, painters arrival date, completion date, and final walk-through. WOW! First impression- professional and organized. I went to Lux's office, met Mary the assistant (who is awesome) and the work had begun. The painters were nice and professional. The prepping was immaculate. They treated my belongings with respect and neatly covered/taped the floors, and covered furniture. They were conscientious and focused on detail. They never left doors open and kept everything immaculately clean. Never was trash or any kind of work tools left n the house. It took 4 days. The job was completed on time and with no surprises or extra cost. They started at 9 and were gone by 5:15. The finished project... FABULOUS. Not 1 drop of paint or smudge anywhere (including all the faux painted walls.) I came home from work on the last day and everything was put back in order and it looked beautiful. Alex, another employee was very helpful, polite, and detailed. He finished up the last doors and some carpentry and was a pure delight to work with. I requested a quote detailing my need to have my drywall retextured with orange peel texture. A representative did come out, but seemed shocked that I only needed retexture and not painting. He stated he has a guy that could retexture but he normally paints behind him. He stated he would reach out to his guy and contact me. That never happened. It would have been nice for the company to respond to the quote request stating they don't accept jobs of retexture only. Upon meeting in person, the representative could have let me know that he would not pass my information along to his texture guy as there wouldn't really be any benefit for him. I'm a science type of person, and I don't have a clue where to start with design work. After buying a house, Eddie from Luxz walked through and made some suggestions for phase 1 (and he appropriately talked me out of something I wanted done that would have been a mistake). They did excellent work. He made some suggestions for phase 2 (which I honestly couldn't picture, but I trusted him). I'm glad we did it, because things look so much better now. I couldn't picture it before, but now things look gorgeous. His crew not only does excellent work, but Eddie designs things beautifully and makes sure things are executed properly. He puts in the time and effort to make sure that both big things and the little touches are taken care of. Let me give some examples. We needed the bedroom painted, but had no idea what color(s). He suggested we choose the furniture first, then he would have some paint designs ready for us after we send him pictures of the furniture. As someone who is in the industry I highly recommend this company. You cannot get better than this. Luxz is the best of the best. We hired them to do a remodel after a tenet destroyed our house and we decided to put it up on the market. When I say destroyed I mean destroyed, from broken metal fencing to damaged countertops to broken marble tile on the fireplace and holes in the walls where there should not be. Eddie and his team fixed all of that. The house now looks as if it was just built yesterday. As an out of town owner of the property we were not able to always be there but could drop in for a few days at a time for the two weeks that the remodel would take. So Eddie, the owner of the company, took it upon himself to over see the light remodel of the house and would drop in and check in with his crew to verify everything was to up to spec. If it was not Eddie it was Abraham. Someone was always there checking on the work and making sure it was perfect and that all the trades, because it was not just paint for us, were doing perfect consistent work. At final walk thru Eddie double checked everything; the fencing, the marble tile, the countertops, the drywall repair and the paint and ensured that it was all up to spec and perfect and that we as the clients were happy. This review is long overdue, but we have been going through a remodel at our house. We chose Luxz Painting & Design for our painting needs. We ask them to paint the whole house plus doors and trim. They helped us pick out the colors. When we said they were too light, they knew exactly the percentage to darken. The house turned out much more beautiful than originally thought. We also ask them to paint our kitchen cabinets white. They were stained light brown before. It really brightened up the 2nd floor. About a month after the painting, we decided to go with Eddie's(owner) idea on a built-in desk\media bookshelf area in the living room. He designed it and had his carpenter piece it together at the house. I love it. It's white and has a dark chocolate tabletop for the desk made out of oak. It's so beautiful. My wife was so happy to get rid of my old desk. All in all we had a great experience with Luxz and really like Eddie the owner and one of the lead painter's, Jose. Although, all of the guys have been great and answered and corrected any issues I had. I highly recommend Luxz Painting & Design. I highly recommend Luxz Painting & Design. We were so fortunate to have Eddie and his crew rebuild my parents' flooded home from Hurricane Harvey in just 2 months. They performed the mold remediation, replaced dry walls and painted the entire house, replaced all the flooring downstairs and upstairs, and installed all new cabinets in the kitchen as well as hooked up the appliances and fixtures. They were professional, efficient, and most of all very courteous. Eddie managed the entire project from start to finish and kept the cost at what he had estimated. He is extremely responsive and communicates with us regularly so that we know what to expect every phase of the project. Since Eddie had worked on my sister's house, she recommended him to us and we are very happy with his team's skills and workmanship. After bad experiences with other construction and painting contractors, we were pleased with Luxz from the initial pitch to the final walkthrough. Eddie and Mary worked with us to clarify all aspects of the contract to include language detailing our expectations. Luxz repaired siding of our two-story 100+ year-old house, removed outdated cables from the exterior, reconstructed a pergola and did other fix-ups, and repainted the exterior using several base and trim colors. Clean up every day was pretty good, with equipment stashed out of our way at the end of each day. The paint crew, especially, asked questions to clarify details and kept us informed about their plans so we could notify neighbors when we needed access from their property. We hit a home run with this selection for a painter. The process of getting a bid was simple, Eddie Torres the owner gave us some great guidance on color choices and options we could consider. The crew that actually did the painting was on time, courteous, friendly and responsive to every request. They did a good job of keeping the house clean while they worked and cleaned up after themselves each day and then again at the end. We have every wall, a couple of ceilings, three vanities and some trim touch-up done in a four-story, four bedroom house with about 3,400 square feet and they were done in less than five days, well ahead of the schedule we expected. I had worked with many painting companies and other trades in the past for my previous home remodels but this company beats them all hands down in terms of professionalism, quality of work and pricing.
