We visited the museum on a very rainy day...and everyone else in town had the same idea…read more The museum is great - skewing younger (~18 months and up) but there are things for older kids to enjoy. There is a small ball pit, sand, castle and then as you work through the rooms there are all sorts of things to do and snippets of information all throughout. If I had any complaints it was that parking was small and you have to go all over the place to find parking. Great spot for small ones to get out of the rain and keep them occupied.

I haven't played the course, so this review is for their golf simulators…read more Both times I scheduled online I had issues. The first time I scheduled for 10am on a Friday to correspond with my wife's lesson, they rescheduled my slot for 10:30am and said I shouldn't have been able to schedule that time. Odd because their system allowed it. The second time I scheduled an hour for a Friday afternoon. During the book it said it was $35. a few days before my booking I got a notice that my slot was rescheduled for the same day and time, but they didn't say why. My wife and I got there and the server set us up and we used our slot. Then they brought the bill over and they charged us $50 for the hour! If they were switching prices we should have been told up front. I don't plan on using them again. I would rather pay more up front for a business that doesn't "bait and switch". A really poor experience.

I think everything they offer at this place is just amazing, good for kids, teens, and adults. But…read moremy god if you cannot find staff who aren't some of the rudest people i've met in my life, then don't hire at all. The adult staff at other areas of the park are amazing, not all are bad apples, but please fix the behavior of the younger staff at the main pool. I was here with my family and when we arrived to the pool, i mean everyone is super excited to go swimming, and then this staff, little big bigger of a girl, is just on our asses about EVERYTHING. Cant do this, cannot bring that, literally nothing. I understand rules and regulations, but you don't have to be condescending about it like you're in some power hungry struggle. She even came at my daughter when she had a sealed container of food that when she walked into the park, the two boy staffs didn't say anything, but of course when my girl sits down trying to just enjoy the day, mind you not even touching the container its under the chair, this lady is walking around, stops at us, literally SCANS everything we have with her eyes, kicks my kid out because she had a container of food she wasn't even touching. Like I said, i understand rules but you don't have to be an ASS when conveying those rules. As an owner of a business, do some more team training for these younger workers because that was ridiculous. I could write a whole segment about the girls working the concessions but i honestly just do not have the energy too, moral of story, fix this behavior.

I get to the pool today with my water bottle and my towel bag.. "oh excuse me.. we have regulations (NEW from last time we were here) and you have to have clear water bottles and bags.. snacks you know..". I was PISSED!!!! So now I can't have my Stanley nor my bag.... There's a line to be drawn when it comes to things. It's not like we're at a concert where someone could be harboring a gun... this is the splash pad... I'd like to have a little more freedom for the price we pay for the yuppiness. And ya know... maybe CHEAPER golf carts.. you KNOW you need one to do anything in this place. $70 a DAY!! $15 for than last time also. ALLLLLLL ABOUT THE BENJAMINS

My favorite beach in Michigan…read more I've been to: Douglas Beach (wonderful neighborhood beach nearby) West Side County Beach (a bit south of Oval and lots of rocks to collect) as well as North and South Beach in South Haven, and a few other neighborhood ones there. Oval wins for me for a lot of reasons. Great, abundant parking ($15 per car for the day, $75 for the season as of 2026). Good restrooms, snack bar, but most importantly, lots of space on the beach to spread out and enjoy. Vibes are immaculate here. We had several days on our trip where this was it. We set up a beach tent, packed sandwiches, and had a blast. The waves were big a few days which I thoroughly enjoyed. It's kind of a roll of the dice whether the water is fine or a bit too chilly, but it's fun nevertheless. So, to sum it all up. SUN. WAVES. EASY. BEAUTIFUL. I will dream of the time spent here, especially come mid-February when we'd give nearly anything for a nice weather day.

Oval Beach is STUNNING and I'd love to give it 5 stars, but two things keep me from doing that…read more Primarily this is because the beach is not totally accessible to all visitors. We came here with my mother and she has MS, which affects her legs. The only way down to the beach were fairly steep sand dune paths that were incredibly difficult for even able bodied individuals to navigate. We tried finding stairs but came up empty, so that's a big deterrent here. The other is a more petty one, but it's parking. There seems to be a great amount of parking available here, especially on weekdays BUT it comes at a cost of $15, which seems more than we paid at other beaches. The beach itself is crisp and clean, with beautiful sand and shoreline, and some of the cleanest water we saw while on our visit to the lake. As a family with kids, this would be a great beach to visit, but you do need to factor in the difficulties of getting down to it, especially with your groups ability level and your beach gear in tow.
