Our waiter was Parker and he was absolutely awesome and very attentive. When we were seated, Parker brought us 2 complimentary piping hot breadsticks with marinara sauce. We were pleased to hear that these were all-you-can-eat because they were very good! They have quite a few lunchtime specials and from 2:00-4:00 (weekdays) all sandwiches are half off. My wife ordered the lasagna and I ordered the House Calzone. The lasagna was a HUGE serving and very tasty. My House Calzone had ham, ground beef, pepperoni, sautéed mushrooms & onions, mozzarella & ricotta cheese. Oh my! How do I describe this deliciousness! Let's just say that after the first bite, I closed my eyes and enjoyed the flavors! The crust is light and fluffy and it had plenty of ingredients. It was big enough for 2 people to share, but (except for the bite that I gave my wife) I devoured the whole thing! Gondolier is what I would call a small chain restaurant. There are a few scattered around (even one in Sevierville, TN) but they are still small enough to always use top quality ingredients and keep their prices very affordable. There use to be one closer to me in Berea, KY, but unfortunately it closed. You may think this crazy to read, but Gondolier has one of the best cheeseburgers that I have ever had! Without a doubt, we will make the 45 minute drive one-way just to go eat at Gobdolier again and again. Located just off exit 41, its an easy stop off of the interstate if you are traveling through the area. These guys are doing it right! Don't miss it and be sure to ask for Parker to be your waiter.

The place was a little backed up because some tables were still sitting and talking long after they finished dinner. Please be considerate of people waiting: take the conversation to the bar or head out so the next table can sit. Once we were seated, service moved fast. The staff zipped around with purpose. Appetizers came out quickly, and the entrees were virtually right behind them. The longest wait was the fresh-cut fries -- and they were shockingly worth it. The food is outstanding. Italian cooking varies by city and region, so flavor profiles differ. We started with a salad and the meatballs (get the meatballs). We both ordered chicken Parmesan. My wife had Bolognese on the pasta and tomato-basil on the chicken; I had Bolognese on both. Coming from a heavily Italian area for 60+ years, I've eaten a lot of home-cooked and restaurant Italian. No dessert at the table -- we were already exploding before we finished. If you're traveling, split a plate or you'll be packing leftovers into a hotel mini-fridge. This place is right in the heart of Pineville, Ky. It's tucked away into a row of shops that demonstrate the seemingly upward economic trend of this area. Sauced is an open space and an awesome concept. The crafted before your eyes pizzas are simply awesome at the finish line. With a variety of sauces to add to, it really caps off something great. The basil pesto is some of the best I've ever tasted. The staff are really friendly and the prices are on par with the quality. The restaurant is very clean and the music was great. On top of the pizza, they offer salads and pasta So grab a craft beer or glass of wine and munch on some of this wonderful pizza. Everytime I come to Pineville I want to eat at Sauced. The restaurant is always clean & smelling of good food. The employee's are always nice & ready to serve. Another big plus is you don't have to wait long for your food. I have never had problems with cold food. I can drive home to Middlesboro and the food is still hot.
