They called our order and I grabbed it and left. Halfway on the ride home, I realized my banana pudding was not in the bag. I called several times and no one answered. I went today to get my pudding and the woman behind the glass was very rude. I've been going to that Harold's since 1982, as it is in my childhood neighborhood (103rd) and I cannot remember ever being as offended by an interaction. I suppose there is a first time for everything. It pains me to say, as much as I'm always yelling about #27 being the best, that it is no longer the case. I think a larger conversation needs to be had about the way we are treated in our communities by each other and the lack of basic customer service skills.

I don't look for perfect customer service. I look for great customer service. And this place has it! Run here!!! It's worth it!

A few pieces of shrimp & two tenders. It comes with a biscuit, side & drink. The flounder filet is monstrous for just $6. There is an enourmous amount of spicy mayo on it as well which is totally unnecessary. Just spread a small amount of mayo with a butterknife...don't take a ladle & put the sauce on like it's a pizza. Nothing was bad, but the amount of mayo on the fish sandwich was off-putting. When you open the bag & there's sauce all in the bag, that's a problem.

When i got up there, the door was locked. They were having some type of meeting and they " were" not letting customers in the restaurant. I , at that point , called them on the phone, and they Said they would bring the order to the door. I waited, outside in the cold , patiently. 10 or 15 minutes went by I was freezing, and finally i saw one of the workers taking another order out to that person's car. I flagged him in his way back - in, and notified him about my order, and in a few minutes he brought out. I felt like they treated me like a dog who was trying to get free chicken, after I paid my hard earned mone. Popeyes has horrible customer service and sometimes horrible chicken.

Unfortunately, this was a terrible first experience for them. The chicken was completely flavorless, and the fish pieces were small and had virtually no seasoning. The fries were just basic, nothing memorable at all. The pizza puffs were decent, and the mild sauce was actually good, but those were about the only positives. I understand that every location can have its off days, but when you're bringing your kids somewhere specifically because you want them to experience a Chicago staple, you expect the food to deliver. Sadly, this location did not. Very disappointed, especially because I was hoping this would be a great experience for my family.
