The moment I opened the lid, I knew I had made the right decision--it was massive, drool-worthy, and everything I hoped it would be. One bite in and I was in food-vana. The meat-to-cheesy-sauce ratio was perfect, the roll was dense and chewy with just the right crisp on the outside, and it held everything together beautifully. No soggy mess, no flimsy bread--just pure cheesesteak glory. Honestly, it really did taste like a million bucks. We paired it with bacon cheese fries for the ultimate heart-stopping combo, and together it made the perfect carb-loaded, finger-licking, "oh my God this is good" kind of dinner. The total was $27.18 with tip--not cheap for cheesesteak and fries, but definitely not robbery given the quality and portions. Parking is plentiful since Amici's is in a strip mall, but we opted for takeout because the dinnertime rush was a little too chaotic. Either way, if I'm craving an amazing cheesesteak, Amici's is at the very top of my list.

Being able To govern excellent customer service while working on other orders is tough, but he did it well. We got an order of garlic knots to share, and they're were hit or miss. The pizza itself had a taste that reminded me of childhood (I believe the cheese and sauce tasted very similar to the pizza I'd get at a community park and it immediately took me back to 10 years old). The only thing that was bad was the funnel cake (or funnel fries as they're cut like French fries) dessert part of the problem may be that I ordered a funnel cake like dessert and didn't eat it immediately. There was a very light dusting of Powdered sugar, and like the garlic knots, most of it got placed on just a small area, so most of the strips just tasted pretty bland. They also appeared to be cooked very unevenly as some strips were very soft or tough as leather. My Wife and I both would come back here for pizza, but we'd likely not get the garlic knots and I'd likely pass on the funnel cake.

The bartenders were very friendly and attentive and the drink specials were very good. Tried the chili and cheesesteak tonight. The chili was nice and spicy (made me sweat) and the cheesesteak was ok. They fry in beef tallow so the flavors are different than what most are accustomed to. The wings were massive, FYI. A large bar area is at the back of the restaurant along with high top tables and rail seats along some of the walls. The narrower front section has booths and more conventional seating for dining in. Stealey's intends to build a reputation based on food and our meal did not disappoint. My companion ordered a smash burger and I had a chicken cheesesteak with provolone--both were excellent. Service was friendly and attentive though (as another reviewer noted) it isn't immediately obvious whether there is wait service for the bar high tops and rail seats (there is). The bar is huge and was definitely busy on the late Friday afternoon when we visited. Business is definitely jumping due to a spate of recent publicity about the opening. There were about a dizen drafts available with a mix of styles and price points. There a number of flat screen TVs in the bar area so this is definitely a place to catch your favorite teams. The vibe is definitely local neighborhood but friendly. My companion had visited not long after Stealey's opened and shared plenty of stories about friendly patrons. Stealey's occupies the former Shady McGrady's but has been completely renovated with no trace of the smoking that was previously allowed. Stealey's adds to the list of unpretentious Midtown bars with great food. Definitely recommend!!

Limit of how much you can order per person if you don't call ahead. If you have a group order of more than 3 main items, CALL the day before. Metro signs everywhere, burger memorabilia, cheesesteak philosophy on the walls, Italian pride, city pride, just buku love, buku vibes. You order in a separate little room that feels like a classic bodega. Glass cooler with lunch meats, tiny soda setup, 50-cent refills, vanilla and cherry add-ons if you're feeling fancy. Cash only. No exceptions. We actually had to leave and hit an ATM because my roommate forgot. That's the kind of place this is. Feels like there's no internet in there. Like they might still be running a ham radio in the back. The guys working there? Straight 1970s New York swagger.
