There was caulk along the border between the wall and the tile that had to be scraped off before it could be painted and look at how clean the line is now! I love fun colors and with something this bright it's important that every angle be clean otherwise any mistakes are glaringly obvious. You can see how nicely everything was cut in and they always do such a great job protecting things that are not being painted and then cleaning up afterwards. Now, the walls have a smooth finish and look wonderful. He even painted a couple of doors for me at no charge and cleaned up after himself when he finished working. Bourbon is friendly, honest, reliable, organized, and very meticulous in his work. I can't say enough good things about all the work he did to make my bathroom look brand new. I highly recommend calling him if you need someone to paint your apartment.

There is no confusion about what happened; you, Bourbon Zeigler, were totally unprofessional and blew off or forgot our appointment. Trying to make it seem like I didn't know I was dealing with is just insulting. Original Review 6/6/11 - After discussing a painting and plastering job on the phone, I set up an initial walk through appointment a week in advance. Unfortunately, on the day of the appointment, Mr. Zeigler was a no show. When I called to find out where he was, he didn't remember the appointment and said that I should have reconfirmed with him. He never mentioned this requirement during our conversation; I simply thought making a appointment was making an appointment. If it was so crucial for him to reconfirm he could have called or texted, but he didn't. He just forgot we existed as soon as the phone disconnected. When I asked him if he could still show up, he said he was too far to make it and was already involved in another project. So despite our prearranged appointment, he probably had no intention of showing up and honoring his commitment. Or he just forgot. Either way, really lame. I found the entire experience to be very unprofessional. We're talking about a job (potentially) for thousands of dollars, not odds and ends. Seems to me that he just didn't take the whole thing seriously, which, if you ask me, is not a trait you want in a contractor.

I've gotten several compliments about the exterior from friends and family because of the stellar paint job. The project manager was very responsive and attentive. When a couple of concerns came up, he addressed them quickly and ensured we were satisfied with it. The crew was professional, quick, and very skilled. We have a stucco house with wood trim, and I appreciated the expertise in the painting techniques used to paint those surfaces; it all turned out great. The office staff were also communicative throughout the whole process.

TLDR; Lead safe practices both underwhelming and unfollowed. Somewhere between unreliable and…read moreinexistent point of contact. Customer service mostly excuses and hand waving. After project stops returning calls. Actual painting pretty good, but if you have lead paint; call someone else. I hired Paris Painting to safely scrape and paint over lead paint surfaces. Their quote was competitive, but not the lowest. On the first morning a project manager shows up that isn't the originally assigned project manager, ok fine. We do initial walkthrough and verify what surfaces are lead. Signage was already placed. Temp manager then says original manager will take over from there and leaves no contact information. While prepping surfaces, the painter decides to scrape lead paint onto cloth drops cloths 4 feet wide with huge gap between house and cloth.(Photos attached). I call project manager who was supposed to be taking over and no answer. I call main office who say they'll get back to me. I get manager callback 20-30 mins later who eventually gets a hold of the first manager I saw who calls me back and then has me hand my phone to the painter so he can tell him not to continue scraping lead paint directly onto my property and cleanup the surfaces. While he does take a wet sponge to the sidewalk, there's still left over chips on ground and you can't cleanup garden soil, so I have to get that tested. Day 2 I call project manager who still doesn't answer the phone. I was told he had a family emergency, which I'm sorry for, but for thousands of dollars their staffing issues shouldn't be my headache. I follow-up with the "temp manager" again. Confirm we understand which surfaces are lead and to follow safe practices from here on out. For the rest of the project plastic drop cloths are put down, but chips are simply left on plastic for hours on a windy days. I found multiple chips in my neighbors yard and my property. This is just what I observed first hand, I wasn't there the whole time. Could, in fact, be worse. This is before I learned that the legal requirements for lead-based paint for painters are actually significantly lower than the EPA recommended guidelines. Specifically they dry scrape, they don't use a HEPA vacuum for cleanup and I'm not sure they tested surfaces afterwards. Also painter used zero ppe, but that's not my concern. Amanda promises me we will talk about this after the project. Except following the project they didn't return my calls. Not 1 star, because the actual painting was good.

We put it out a couple of days and met on a Friday. I was told that the bid would be to me on Monday. Putting this out three additional days. To this day, almost two weeks after, I have not received a bid from Bella Casa Painting. This turned out to be a waste of my time as I am on a schedule to get my house ready to sell. Very disappointing.
