My inexperience and neophyte skills made no difference. She was patient and encouraging, and by the time we were on our backs for savasana I remember thinking, "I can do this!" I have been attending yoga classes at Inner Quest, and a host of great workshops on a variety of topics as well, since that time, and I rarely miss a class. I feel such a part of that yoga family that Mary has cultivated and nurtured. The yoga classes are always a wonderful, creative mix of poses both familiar and new, with a healthy dose of yin and restorative poses as well. Sky Meadow has been home to our annual knitting retreat for more than 10 years. We (16 knitters)…read moretake over the whole barn area early in April and stay for 3 nights. It is spotless. We cook all our own meals in the very well stocked kitchen. We find every tool we need, plus serving dishes and pots and pans. There is a large open area for yoga, weaving, spinning. We tend to sit on the sofa and chairs in the corner and just knit. The Wood stove, kept stocked by the owner, Miles, keeps us toasty and warm. There are barn animals just behind the bedrooms where you can approach and pat the sheep and alpaca, and hear the rooster crow in the early hours. There are several bathrooms and bunk rooms for 4. Sunsets through the enormous picture window are fabulous, also mountain views and wildlife. Walks on the deserted dirt road are peaceful and the trails surrounding the barn go through the woods and to a meadow. A wonderful place to rejuvenate.

Lucky for me, Katie at the Mirror Lake Inn spa grabbed her hot stones and got to WORK. The 80 minute massage I experienced was truly next level relaxation. I made the appointment for a Friday one week before, and was so excited to get in. The spa itself is gorgeous, though a huge bummer that the sauna and locker room aren't accessible at this time due to COVID. I took a walk through and had envy for everyone who got to enjoy that level of LAVISH. Still 5 stars even though I didn't get the full experience. Staff was fantastic and you can't beat the location. This is the biggest, splurgiest "treat yo self" I'll do all year, as an 80 minute hot stone massage ran me more than $200 with tip. She's not cheap but I will continue to rationalize this experience in my head as 100000% worth it. The need to not pay attention to anything but my back feeling better for an hour was a gift only $200 can buy. This business page is confusing and the photos are more indicative of the INN then the spa. I stayed at the next door high peaks resort and did a service here, and you do not have the stay at the inn to enjoy the spa. Happy relaxing and thank you to Katie and the team at the spa for such an awesome experience!

The Inn looks out over Mirror Lake with spectacular views of the lake and Adirondacks. Our room was large, comfortable, and beautiful. The Inn amenities include small lake front beach, indoor (heated) swimming pool, and the largest hot tub I've ever seen in my life. There are three dining options - upscale restaurant, casual bar (they share the same 4 diamond restaurant kitchen) and a waterfront pub. We spent time at all threes spots. Food and drinks at all were perfect. A great place to stay for a romantic getaway.
