    Stingy and effortless take out

Called ahead to order a corned beef on rye sandwich. Was ready real quick. Had to ask for pickle and mustard. $9 got me a small portion of meat and soggy bread. Very disappointed .

I came here because somebody brought me here! Apparently this restaurant has been servicing Chatham for a very longtime! The wait staff was fantastic but I thought the food was average! Although again I did not have a very high expectation coming in here! However I would not be opposed to visiting this place again!

HUGE panzerotti with meatsauce on the side for take out.

I despise Hawaiian pizza, but it would be uncanadian of me not to see the place it was invented at! Upon first entering the Satellite you sense a warm aura, a classic diner with historic Chatham photos and maps on the wall. Ask for the lake view for a treat! I was pleasantly surprised at the variety on the menu since they are advertised as just a diner. Skipping the pineapple, I opted for the panzerotti, holy smokes, its larger than my hands!! The dough was unlike i've seen before, it was soft and thick, very familiar to a donut. They were generous with the cheese and I could barely finish half. Apparently the meat sauce that comes with it, is homemade. I loved that I could taste the large chunks of meat and it paired perfectly with the panzerotti. Overall, a very homey restaraunt with attentive staff!

The Satellite is an institution in Chatham...even my parents grew up coming here. Its easy to see why. They offer delicious classic restaurant fare at amazing prices. You'll get your usual brekky options, your roast beef dinners, your diner-style sandwiches, and a smattering of Greek cuisine (the owner is Greek). Their Clubhouse is a standout, triple decker, lots of crispy bacon, fresh tomatoes, and the BEST part - REAL shaved, white meat turkey. Not the processed crap you get at most places. Served with a side of salad and their fantastic crisp french fries. For under 8 bucks!

Frenchy's sits in a shopping center anchored by a Shoppers Drug Mart and a "Gaming Center" (aka casino). Walking up to the counter, I immediately noticed the lineup of meat choices and toppings. It's the kind of menu that makes you pause for a second, not because it's complicated, but because everything looks like a good idea. All sorts of protein options from Chicken to "Montreal Smoked Meat". I got the Gyro. Ordering was quick, and the food came out fast and fresh. The gravy was the standout. This wasn't that fast‑food slop. It was beefy, rich, the kind of gravy that actually tastes like something. Combined with the cheese curds and toppings, it made for a proper Canadian comfort‑food moment. And the portions? Massive. The kind of serving that makes you wonder if you accidentally ordered for two. Frenchy's is definitely playing in the "feed the masses" category, and they're doing it well. I took half my order back across the border for later. Bottom line: If you find yourself wandering into Windsor, intentionally or not, Frenchy's is a worthy stop for that authentic Pountne cuisine.

In fact, last summer we took the in-laws who were visiting from New Orleans, to Eighteen 12 for their first poutine experience. My daughter is kind of basic, so she sticks to the original (sometimes adds bacon). My husband and I have tried a few of the more "dressed" varieties and everything has been delicious. There is nowhere to sit and eat (even pre-pandemic). It's a takeout joint. They certainly make you feel welcome while you are waiting for your order, though. We usually just take ours to the riverfront and dine at the park. They have a pretty good setup for phone ordering and pickup in the current pandemic too. Park in front of the door, call in your order, and they will summon you when it is ready for pickup. One person is allowed inside to pay and grab the order. Quick and easy!

He looked a lot fancier than I expected, but still comfortable to come here for lunch. There was one server and quite a few tables, which I think posed the initial challenge. There were three of us and we each ordered something different. One colleague what are the tacos another a butter, chicken sandwich and I ordered the chicken tikka flatbread. After about 45 minutes of waiting, our food arrived, and it was absolutely delicious. I don't think I've ever had anything like that before and I'm sad that I am not local and may never have it again. Everyone was pleased with their meals. We had to ask for the check as soon as the food arrived and sadly couldn't afford any more time to savor it as much as we all wanted to. I would absolutely return but at dinner time when you can allocate possibly two hours.

As for the food... here's where the stars go down. We tried the buffalo chicken poutine and the butter chicken poutine- both were okay at best. Buffalo chicken poutine had sparse toppings and a mild flavor profile. The butter chicken poutine was much more saucy- but at the expensive of flavor. The curry tasted more like american chili than any butter chicken I've ever tasted. Maybe stick with more simple items at this establishment.
