So, while I did give it 3 stars, since my family and I went there for my Grandma and she likes it, I would say a 4-star review is also appropriate. Anyways, the service was great, the restaurant was clean, and the seating was big for the 5 of us. That being said, the avocado tasted almost sour, another dish apparently tasted reheated, and the so-cal eggs benedict I had was okay. It is also necessary to note that the coffee they serve is on the darker/bitter side. So, if you enjoy coffee like that you'll have no problem but if you don't just be aware you might not enjoy it.

Some of it was good, such as the meatballs and sausages, some of it wasn't, such as the rock-hard bacon, or doughy perogies. Everything on the buffet was also quite cold. The wait staff was friendly and the atmosphere was welcoming.

It became obvious within moments that one of the waitresses family was dining - and walking around the kitchen etc. The waitress was incredibly in appropriate speaking to them and every part of their conversation was made public. On top of this, this same waitress decided to eat her own lunch behind the counter - literally stuffing food in her mouth between taking orders. Two lovely ladies sitting next to he counter had to get up and ask for hot water refill and coffee refill because their waitress was too busy with her family. The buffet was horrible - food looked like it had been sitting there all week and didn't taste much better. For $15.95, I expected better ! When I finally got my juice - it was warm. I will NEVER return to this establishment and wouldn't recommend it to my worst enemy !

They also do family size dinners as well as individual meals. Totally recommend. Right in a small strip mall near the tracks at Richmond and Lacroix. Decent burger, basic poutine, good hot dog…read more There's something to be said about a yankee heading to a retro Americana diner. But I was hungry, and lots of places were closed on a Sunday. So I came here to try their grub. First off, it's very much what I think everyone thinks a quintessential diner is. Multi-colored swooshes patterns on the countertop, tons of pop culture icons plastered against the walls, American country music playing on the speakers. If there was ever a tourist trap then this is it. The server was very nice and accommodating. Explained the menu and answered questions quickly. We got a poutine, a burger and hot dog, and some onion rings to round everything out. Food came out relatively quick. Pacing was good, got the poutine out first to munch on before getting the rest. The quality is very much a basic greasy spoon diner back in the states. Lots of stuff fresh out the freezer, prepared like a beach stand with stuff quick fried and sent out. There was some care shown, the burger was lightly seasoned and not overcooked. Bun was fresh and the hot dog had a good char to it. Besides that, it was underwhelming overall. That being said, it wasn't bad. Yeah, it was generic but you don't go to a place like this for solid eats. You come here for that little reminder of home or to explore from the comfort of home. In those cases, this place works. Given that it was literally next door to a Texas bbq place, they very much knew what clientele they were aiming for. If you're curious to try some of the most basic food that the US has to offer, then this place will allow one to experience that without having to drive there. It's better than a fast food chain, but there's a LOT more to explore if you ever get the chance to visit.
