The quality is very much a basic greasy spoon diner back in the states. Lots of stuff fresh out the freezer, prepared like a beach stand with stuff quick fried and sent out. There was some care shown, the burger was lightly seasoned and not overcooked. Bun was fresh and the hot dog had a good char to it. Besides that, it was underwhelming overall. That being said, it wasn't bad. Yeah, it was generic but you don't go to a place like this for solid eats. You come here for that little reminder of home or to explore from the comfort of home. In those cases, this place works. Given that it was literally next door to a Texas bbq place, they very much knew what clientele they were aiming for. If you're curious to try some of the most basic food that the US has to offer, then this place will allow one to experience that without having to drive there. Cooked 1 minute too long Creamy Parmesan Salmon pasta? Way too much Parmesan to the cream yields a very butter aftertaste. Butter chicken poutine? Dry chicken When they do hit it right the flavors are really solid. I'll usually come back when I'm traveling because the servers are so excellent.
