Stewart charged us a $150.00 restocking fee, told us that it worked fine and then sold it to an employee. This is bad business, @150.00 is a lot of money to charge a customer, that returned the light in good faith, because it did not work( but I guess the customer is never right) We paid for the pole attached also, an was given bad advise, because the one we had worked just fine for any light. Shame on you Stewart lighting and Nita for your behavior certaining this return. There was a reason your store was empty of customers. Having moved here two months ago, we've been seeking good contractors, usually relying on our…read morerealtor's suggestion list. The electrician we started using ended up ghosting us, more or less. So I turned to Yelp and landed on Advanced Electric of North Florida. Brice responded within 30 minutes of my request for service, and this was on the weekend. He arranged for service on Monday consisting of hanging 7 different light fixtures, a fan and four dimmer switches. Jamal and Jamal showed up on time, worked straight through to lunch and did a great job. They were polite, thoughtful and responded to our requests. The cost hit pretty much what I figured it would based on their rates and we were very satisfied. On a wholly different but related note. As a Black man I usually hope for evidence of diversity in the workforce of any company I hire. I appreciate that Advanced Electric hires and promotes young men of color in a field that is dominated by white men. For me this is essential and I wish more companies were like Advanced Electric. I thank them for ensuring a diverse workforce in their hiring practices.

Someone was doing a routine termite check under my house and alerted me to something being very wrong with plumbing connected to new bathroom. It was a quick unprofessional job that would never have passed a proper inspection. It also did not have necessary protection from toxic sewer fumes that could enter through shower drain. I called my plumber who took pictures and confirmed the work was completely unacceptable and even dangerous. Called ReBath who said they would send someone to correct work but I insisted I use my own trusted plumber. After some back and forth with ReBath, they agreed to reimburse me for corrective work. I still need to contact them to fine tune some of interior work but continue to put that off because I am uncomfortable having them back in my home. I know I need to give them the opportunity to make it all right, but fear I'm not someone they don't want to hear from.
