We made an appointment here because this is where his current insurance suggested as his previous dentist did not accept his new insurance. I accompanied my young adult son to his appointment. His appointment was scheduled for 1:00 PM, and we arrived around 12:50 with his new-patient paperwork already completed beforehand. 1:30pm was when he was first called into a patient room. Meanwhile 3 people came in after us and were taken back prior to my son. When the appointment was originally scheduled, the office asked that his previous dental X-rays be sent to them, which we arranged. However, during the appointment we were told those X-rays could not be used and that they needed to take new ones. After his X-rays were taken, my son was returned to the waiting room because a treatment room wasn't available. The dentist ultimately did not see him until approximately 2:40 PM. A staff member eventually explained that an oral surgeon was there that day and was using several treatment rooms. I appreciated the explanation and apology, but much better communication about the delay would have been appreciated. No one should have to sit and wait from 1pm to 2:40 and watch others come and go. My greater concern was what happened once he was examined. The dentist told my son that he had moderate periodontal disease and discussed multiple cavities. The explanation felt rushed, and we did not feel the dentist had good bedside manner. He didn't explain much, just gave his opinion and left. We were then presented with an extensive treatment plan that included deep cleaning, periodontal treatments, Perio Protect trays and multiple fillings. The proposed out-of-pocket cost was approximately $2,025 with insurance. Felt like too many additional upcharges for no reason along with sales pressure. There was also confusion regarding the number of cavities/fillings. Different numbers were communicated to us during the appointment, while the written treatment plan ultimately listed five fillings. The dentist told us one thing, the assistant another and the finance person another. Because my son had already received a very different assessment from another dentist, we did not schedule the recommended treatment. We requested copies of his records and decided to seek another professional opinion. My son has now been evaluated by a third dentist. That dentist found one cavity and no periodontal disease, consistent with the findings of his previous dentist. That means my son has now received three professional dental opinions: two independently found one cavity and no periodontal disease, while this office gave us a substantially different diagnosis and a much more extensive and expensive treatment plan. I understand that dentists can sometimes have different professional opinions and approaches to treatment, and I am not claiming to know why these assessments were so different. I can only share what occurred and why we were uncomfortable proceeding. Between the long wait, rushed communication, confusing information about the number of fillings, and the significant difference between this office's diagnosis and the assessments of two other dentists, we will not be returning. I'm very glad we chose to seek another opinion before proceeding with the recommended treatment.

When we arrived, the gal at the front was very sweet and helpful. They took us back quickly and did an x ray. It was an adult tooth/molar we knew it was in bad shape but no dentists would touch it because pediatric dentist don't do adult teeth and regular dentists want to refer it back to pediatric. Her tooth suffered from all that back and forth with other places. Dr. Dong looked at the xray and explained extraction was needed due to the severity of decay and infection. I already knew that and agreed. They were so gentle and empathetic with my daughter. They made it comfortable where she wasn't scared and completed it quickly. Good places are hard to find and I greatly recommend this office. Pricing was very fair considering it is a Sunday and I'm ever so thankful she's no longer suffering with a tooth no one would touch. Two of my filling's got dark spots on them within the first year and to redo them I have to come when "I'll be fixing my other teeth". Once I went into office with one treatment plan doctor (Asian looking younger one) during the treatment changed the plan and fixed the tooth that wasn't even in a chart and told me about it only after he was done! And made me sign the consent as I was leaving the office. I can't describe how violated I felt for a while. Doctor Papworth apologized for his colleague but it didn't make me feel better. I gave them a chance and came for cleaning, asked for insurance pre- approval for next treatment (because somehow my pretty good ppo insurance almost never covers it as promised). Waited. Never heard from them. Called. They made it sound like they've never heard about it although they offered. Requested it again. It's been at least a month still haven't heard from them... also last time I went for cleaning I felt like the doctor was very pushy into what should be my next treatment although I wanted to work on other problems. Also got referred to a place that did a terrible work on my root canal. I guess it's time for me to switch an office.

I'm a substitute and was filling in for someone today, so I had to be at work by 10:15. I called the office and spoke with Anthony, who was so helpful. They were able to squeeze me in, although they weren't sure how long it would take. I hurried down there, and Dr. Vu was able to fix my crown quickly and without any issues, and I still made it to work! This is actually the SECOND time this office has saved me in an emergency, and I'm so thankful I found them. Everyone in the office is always so friendly, kind, and willing to help whenever possible. My entire family comes here for our dental and orthodontic care, and we couldn't be happier. Thank you, Dr. Vu, Anthony, and the entire staff for always taking such great care of us! Booked based on a $59 new-patient special, after being told over the phone that a deep cleaning (if needed) would run $1,300. I went to the dentist last year, so I didn't think I would be needing a deep cleaning and went ahead with appointment. During the exam, the hygienist was very heavy-handed, enough to really hurt, then immediately pushed a deep cleaning. When I said I couldn't afford it, she put her hands up and said "I don't talk money, I'm just telling you what I recommend"-- then told me another hygienist who "doesn't talk about money either" would be coming in. That hygienist never actually showed up; I suspect they could tell I was upset and backed off. The dentist confirmed I had zero cavities. I explained to him that I don't want to waste their time, or my time, and if they're going to sell me a deep cleaning, I simply cannot afford it. He said, let me see what our sales person can do The salesperson then appeared with a quote: $3,400 cash -- more than double what I'd been told on the phone -- or $1,450 if I purchased their recommended insurance plan. I told him no, I can't afford it, getting more noticeably upset He disappeared for 5-10 minutes and came back with the exact same total, just broken into different line items. By the time I walked out, I had told three different people four times I couldn't afford it, and there were no offers of other options that might be within my price range. Called my old dentist and got a quote of $600-$800 cash for a deep cleaning, but was advised they aren't sure I'm going to need it. They are farther but worth a drive to save over $1000. So, I would skip this place unless you enjoy sales pitches with your dental work.

We initially thought he might have food stuck underneath the gum and wanted to have it evaluated. After taking X-rays, we were told he had four cavities in the back teeth, needed his wisdom teeth removed, two root canals, crowns, a deep cleaning, and two fillings. We were quoted approximately $17,000 without dental insurance. We were also told the situation was an emergency and that the swelling was causing a sinus infection and could spread. Because this was an enormous amount of dental work and money to be presented with all at once, we told them we wanted to do our own research and get another opinion before making any decisions. At that point, we felt the staff became rude and snippy with us and repeatedly questioned why we weren't taking immediate action. Instead of feeling informed and supported, we felt pressured. The next day, we traveled to Tijuana and saw a highly rated endodontic/root canal specialist for a second opinion. They performed their own X-rays and testing and told us they found only one cavity and did not recommend the extensive treatment plan we had been given the day before. They believed the gum issue was likely related to something being trapped underneath it. They treated the swollen area by removing the pus, cleaning it thoroughly, stitching the area, and performing a deep cleaning. The entire treatment was approximately $680, took about an hour, and he already feels significantly better. The difference between the two evaluations and proposed treatment plans was shocking to us. I'm very glad we trusted our instincts and sought another professional opinion before agreeing to $17,000 worth of dental work, including procedures that could permanently alter his teeth. Based on our experience, I strongly encourage anyone presented with a major treatment plan here to consider getting an independent second opinion before proceeding.

I am a Registered Nurse but I used to be a dental assistant and my dad is a retired dentist. I will…read morenever go back to this dentist ever. I came here because I wanted to go in network for my delta dental but it was a huge huge huge mistake. The dentist said I needed two fillings on tooth number 14 and 15 because they were cracked. He also said we should do a filling on number 20 to close the gap between tooth #19 and #20. Tooth #20 was a virgin tooth and if you goggle it, it says to never drill on a virgin tooth to close the contact. When he did my fillings on # 14 and 15, he said that the tooth wasn't sealed so he redid it right then and there when I left the office I was in pain right away and they said I needed to come in to have my bite adjuste. When I came in and he evaluated the tooth he said he needed to re do it again and was not sealed. This was now the third time he drilled on this tooth . I went back in a third time and he said that maybe it is close to a nerve and I now I might need a root canal. He never mention anything like this and the teeth did not have any decay and now mind you none of these teeth had any problems prior to him drilling on my teeth. I went back to my previous dentist and he looked at the X-rays and intra oral cam pics and couldn't figure out why he did any of this work. I then went to the endodontist to be sure. The endodontist did not think I needed a root canal, but to have that tooth resealed because it looked as though the filling was not sealed properly as I couldn't bite down. . I had my previous and now current dentist redo the filling on 14 and he said that the filling just literally fell out like it was never sealed. The tooth was never the same and I ended up needing to root canals on tooth number 14 and 15. And now I am having pain on tooth number 20 and that tooth never had a filling or anything wrong with it prior to Dr. Park doing my fillings . My daughter also had fillings done by him and has sensitivity and problems with the teeth that he worked on. Before I had the root canal, I called Dr. Park's office and asked that he refund my co-pays and refund delta dental as I was having the filling redone and he failed to do so. I really made a huge mistake going to this dentist and I have suffered tremendously. I am so disappointed I will never be going back to this Dentist and for anyone reading this review trust me and go elsewhere. I made a mistake trying to save money because my previous dentist is amazing and a perfectionist. I never had one thing go wrong in the last 10 years. Trying to save money ended up compromising my teeth and I'm devastated.
