Loved this spot! I've had this on my list for so long as I've heard the prices are amazing for the quality. Safe to say I wasn't disappointed. I paid about $15 for three rolls and a side of spicy mayo. This place is cash only so keep that in mind. The service was quick and there were two tables to eat but it was fairly small. All three rolls I had, the spicy tuna roll, the spicy salmon roll, and the Philadelphia roll, were so good and they had a really good amount of filling in each. Also loved the amount of ginger they gave. Will absolutely be returning soon!

Super freshly made, super affordable ($13-ish for 3 rolls) and super tasty... What else can you ask for? If you're in the mood for sushi in a hurry and don't care about sitting down, you will love this place. It's takeout and cash only, so come in knowing that

I honestly really wanted this to be my next go-to sushi spot, especially since the prices are affordable! However, it's really the taste that has me turned away. Tucked into a small shop in UES, I believe there are only 3-4 seats inside but it seems as though people often just sit there while they wait for their takeout order as this is mainly a takeout spot. Cash only, and the sushi is quite affordable, but be prepared to wait or call ahead (for reference we ordered the 7-roll maki combo and that took 30 minutes). For two people, the 7 maki roll combo was more than enough to fill us up. However, we were pretty disappointed by the taste. As we were trying each flavor, we knew something was missing, and we believe it was the lack of sushi vinegar! All the rolls we got either tasted too fishy or bland. Who knew the lack of sushi vinegar affected the taste so much with maki rolls? And for this reason alone, unfortunately we will not be returning for now. What we ordered: -7 maki combo (salmon skin, eel avocado, shrimp tempura, black pepper tuna, spicy salmon, spicy tuna, and the red snapper cucumber)

Awesome cash only neighborhood joint! My partner and I were looking for a takeout lunch in the area and we're intrigued by sashimi express 2 given the ratings and prices we saw online. We walked in, placed our order on the cards, and got to watch the chefs at work. All in all, would give 5 stars for the value - it was a lot of food for a reasonable price. We both agreed the spicy crab was our favorite and the ikura was a delicious nigiri side. Would recommend if craving sushi in the area... just remember to bring cash!

What a fantastic spot to get fresh sushi! Man... I wish I had one of these in my neighborhood. Instead, all I get is Dominican food. :( I cam here for their sashimi platters and I went for the $28 Sashimi Platter # A1 Personal Tray: 25 pieces, 5 different fish. Truly delicious. Very fresh. Next time I'll definitely opt for the salmon platter, since it was by far my favorite. Recommended.

Wow! You really don't find sushi at this price anymore. Really impressed with Sashimi Express II. They have one table inside, so it really is takeout only. We got home 40+ minutes after leaving, and all the sushi was still super fresh and tasted great. It is cash only! Don't remember what we ordered specifically, but we ordered 9+ rolls and got 6 nigiris for $52 !!!!!! That's unheard of. Sushi pieces were a little small in contrast to your typcial rolls, but for how cheap the cost is you really can't complain. Will be back! 4.5/5

We love Sashimi Express for the price, convenience, and portions! We usually order ahead through the phone and the order is ready for pickup within 30 minutes. For this price, the sushi is great and the salmon tray is really fresh. For two people, we get a seven roll special and a salmon tray - and that stuffs us! The staff is sweet and service is fast. The place is very small and has one two-person table. Make sure to bring cash.

Affordable, good quality, and very convenient. The take out is quick and we're able to get a platter pretty quickly. Not much else to say :)

Daniella: peanut mango and avocado. It's actually amazing.

What an absolute gem. 7 rolls for $24, 8 pieces per roll, and the fish is excellent quality. Oh and it's ready in 10 minutes. There is absolutely nothing more you could ask for. I guess you could ask for a sit down dining experience but that's not why you're here. They do have one table with two chairs and it worked just fine for us. We'll be back very, very soon.

Love this spot as well as their other location. Hole in the wall vibes offering fresh, affordable and good quality sushi. Don't even think about going anywhere else for your quick fix great quality sushi especially in this area! 3 roll combo (11ish dollars if you call it in or go there to order). Cash only! I always get the yellowtail scallion, spicy shrimp and eel avocado and it's a good mix of different fish and style rolls. The fish has always been fresh and the rice warm and sticky. The veggies have a very nice fresh crunch and the avocado buttery. Like i don't know what else you need from a place! Run, don't walk to sashimi express. The name might not sound the most japanese and at least some of the workers at this location are Chinese but as someone who generally prefers my japanese food to be done by Japanese cooks, this place gets a five stars from me and I will be coming back time and time and time again!

So glad I found this hole in the wall takeout sushi place with great price and solid fish quality!! You can get 7 regular rolls for $25 (each roll comes with 8 small pieces) but they also have other options including sashimi. The salmon roll turned out to my favorite because I was pleasantly surprised by how rich and fresh the salmon was! Their eel avocado was tasty with appropriately ripe chunks of avocado, but just wished the eel to avocado ratio was higher. Their spicy yellowtail and spicy tuna rolls were pretty solid with a nice kick in flavor. The black pepper tuna also exceeded my expectations cause the tuna had a strong smoky and peppery flavor. You can order via phone or in person. On a busy Friday night we waited for about 30 mins for our food cause it was popping. Service was decent and it looked like a mom and pop shop. Note that they are cash only! Overall given the great price performance and quality food I see myself coming back for more!

Tray Sushi Platter ($50) for 48 pcs

I had the sushi tray with 48 pcs of sashimi for $50 which was pretty worth it. I shared with my boyfriend and we had leftovers because it was very filling. You get salmon, whitefish, yellowtail, tuna, and red snapper. This place is cash only and only has two small tables. Overall, it's worth a try!

I've never tried a Japanese cheesecake before and was extremely excited to be able to pick up some treats for my coworkers as well as my partner's birthday cake from Keki. Ordering is fairly straightforward and done with a simple machine outfront. Once your order is ready one of the staff members hands it to you through a window; there is no inside area accessible to customers but our food came quickly and we took it back to the office. The cheesecake was fantastic. I read a bit about the background of the shop online and how the owner really cares about using high-quality ingredients, specifically dairy. It was justas described, light and bouncy. I enjoyed how it was not overly sweet and found that it was all too easy to devour the entire cake over the course of two days. Despite it not having much weight to it, it traveled surprisingly well as I took it home on my three train commute! Similar to what others have said, the real highlight of the shop, in my opinion, are their cream puffs. I'm not sure what I was expecting, but the outer layer was thin yet had a nice little crunch to it. We tried the classic milk, cookies & cream pistachio and ube flavors. Our favorite was the pistachio by far, which had such a unique yet decadent flavor and our second favorite was the milk cream puff. There's not much else I can say other than you really have to go here and try the desserts yourself. If you're a fan of Japanese desserts that are rich yet not too sweet, you'll be a fan of Keki.

And I commonly see the upstairs for private events like baby showers, bridal showers, or birthday parties on social media. After dinner with my friends, I was looking for dessert and I was glad to see this location closes relatively late on a weekday night at 11 pm. Upon walking in, I was greeted by a waiter who led us to one of the purple velvet chair booths that was perfect for two people and another waiter brought us a pitcher of water almost immediately. The menu is on a QR code already on the table and we were given ample of time to decide. My friend and I both already knew what we wanted to order. I got the purple Yam Souffle which takes 25 minutes to make and my friend got the fried squid tails. We also got a signature Rose Green Milk Tea to share. The waitress who took our order has great memory and recalled all of our items without writing it down. She also reminded me that I could adjust the ice and sugar levels of my drink which I had completely forgotten and would have got annoyed if my drink came out 100% sweetness. Another thing is that my drink order frequently comes out wrong at other locations so I was glad she got it right! Green tea instead of black tea and with milk instead of without milk. The purple Yam Souffle is just like the other locations. Hot, soft cakey texture balanced with an ice cold red bean Ice-Cream. So delicious! The squid tails on the other hand was not what we expected. It came out burnt and hard. The outer batter was not crispy either. We informed one of the waiters and he brought it back to inform the kitchen staff. We received a new batch that was not as burnt and had more flavoring this time around. However, the squid was still hard and not like the ones we get from other locations with smaller crispier pieces. Overall, it was still a good experience and I love the decorations at this location! This might be my second favorite location after the Flushing one. Would love to come back for brunch or hi-tea. Or regular food options when I have not already eaten dinner. My usual go-tos are the twister fries, Santa Fe chicken rolls, fried salted crispy chicken, and the trio dessert combo. However, this location has a lot more variety! FYI - there are two unisex restrooms in the rear for customers to use with really cute wallpapers too.

We ordered potted rose milk tea to share, Dubai affogato and Brown Sugar Boba Mille Crêpes Cake. We came on a Friday around 4pm. Originally I wanted to try the strawberry matchamisu, however, was told that it sold out. What a bummer. The rose milk tea came with a themed pot and cups which is really cute. The rose fragrant smelled so good and the milk tea also tasted good and has a hint of rose taste. The cake was good, the boba was well cooked, chewy and flavorful! This time there was an unpleasant experience. At first when the Dubai affogato was served, we did not realize that the amount of the coffee was little until we saw another customer's dish that the volume of their coffee looked significantly more than ours. My friend brought it to the waitress attention but the waitress brushed it off and did not acknowledge our concern. When we finished and were about to leave, the same waitress came over and showed us that the container of the coffee was different and hence the volume of the coffee looked different. At this point, we did not care for it anymore. We would have been fine if the staff acknowledged our concern. We thought that maybe using standardized containers for the coffee would avoid this problem. Other than that, the food and drinks were good.
