I took my 93-year-old aunt there today because her feet were swelling, and the shoes she has were not working for her. I was truly disappointed in the customer service. I didn't like the help we weren't greeted, and it was very unfortunate because the reason I went was to get one on one service for my aunt. It was like pulling teeth to get help. Very sad. Unfortunately we spent $450 for two pairs of shoes but we will never go back there. read more

Buyer beware! They don't tell you that you cannot return the shoes even through they have a 10-day return policy. Bought a pair of the shoes after being measured. Paid 195.00 for the shoes. Took them home and wore them in my house to make sure they were okay before I wore them out. The shoes hurt my feet. Tried to return the shoes and was told I could not return them cause I wore them? I wore them in my clean house and after 20 minutes they hurt my feet. Was told the insoles of the shoes were worn and even though I wore them in the house and the bottom were clean, they would not take them back? I wore them for 20 minutes and the insoles were worn? $195.00 cheap insoles that were worn after 20 minutes, DO NOT BUY FROM THEM. Rude and will not stand by their return policy. If you do buy, wear them in their store for a while before you buy, if you walk out the door, they are yours. read more

I love the shoes at SAS! This is an easy store to visit, with a great selection and helpful customer service. If you have trouble finding comfortable shoes, put this place on your list. I have very wide feet and am on my feet a lot. At SAS I found wide shoes that are cute and comfortable, and so we'll made they hold up for years. read more

If you are looking for SAS shoes, this is your place. It's a bit far for me. We make our trip there for my mothers shoes, because she only wears this brand. If you have any special needs for your feet I recommend you try their shoes. Service is sometimes slower but always there because there is only one person serving. read more

I still love the shoes and have been very satisfied with the service in the store. I did lower my score by one star in that they no longer ship to your home for free if your size is not in stock. As an early-30's new mom I needed some new work shoes that would pass as professional and keep me comfy. A few SAS styles looked classically stylish so I hoped that they would blend with my simple capsule wardrobe. The store was large and easy to find. It really feels like a franchised location. The staff are very helpful, though not exactly catering to my (younger) age bracket. They did not have the newer styles I had picked online in stock to try on. Bonus: they did have a clearance area that happened to have one of the styles I wanted. However, clearance means no returns or exchanges here so ya better be sure. I found that I was a different size and width in different styles. While that's frustrating, it is also wonderful that I can have a nearly perfect fit if I'm willing to consider various sizes. They didn't have my size in some styles, even in the wrong color to try for ordering. I'm a medium 10 generally. I bought 10 narrow in sandals because of my low "foot volume". This would've been a 5 Star review if the full selection were available and if the store catered to shoppers under 60. read more

I went into the SAS shoe store today and I received marvelous service. They made sure that I got the correct size and I was grateful that some local store still carried SAS shoes. Also, the comment that the store smelled of curry is not true. The store was clean and well stocked. I have been purchasing SAS shoes for over 20 years and I know they are expensive but they last for many years. The quality of these shoes is marvelous. I hope that anyone looking for a very good shoes will please give them a try because the other reviews posted on this site very negative. My previous experience with SAS shoe shoes have always been great and I am glad that I tried them as I have not been in this area for over 12 years and I was so glad to be back again and able to go to a SAS store. read more

I had the opportunity to go to SAS Shoes yesterday to try and get some shoes for my mom. The service was great. Even though I could not find the right shoes for her, the store person did her very best. We must have tried 10 pairs of shoes. The place isn't exactly the nicest of all places. They have no price tags on any of the shoes but the 10 cent cola. I went to the cash register to buy a pair and they told me $180 for a pair of shoes! The only reason why I was going to buy them was because I had been to four other store that had no slip resistant shoes. They told me they will last two years; I bought a pair of shoes for ten dollars that lasted for that long! I then decided to go to Sears and ended up buying a pair a hell of a lot nicer for half the price...and they are more comfortable. If you are loaded then go to this store if not, don't bother! read more

SAS SHOES I have purchased a pair of SAS shoes 4 months ago I have ruined so many pairs of socks cause from the diet coming off the shoes which has have reported to SAS and nothing has ever been done about it they want me to send my shoes half was across the country for them to inspect how about if I send all my socks over there and they can replace them and my shoes and they want me to send them at my expense come on well one thing I know for sure is I know what buyer beware is all about I hope this helps someone else before purchasing read more

The SAS sales person, which we could barely understand, told us that the SAS shoe company discontinued the style my elderly dad wants to purchased to replace his old pair that he purchased 15-20 years ago. She measured his feet and said he wears a 1/2 size bigger, and tried to sell him the same style in other colors, and different styles in his size. Frustrated, we drove to Beck's Shoes on Stockton Blvd, and Patrick measured my dad's feet and he still wears a size 10 and can order the shoes he wants. We walked in late on a Saturday afternoon, and the place was busy! Ginger waited on me, and was very helpful. I showed her what I wanted, and even though I didn't have my postcard from SAS with me that gives a discount in your birthday month, Ginger looked at the info in the computer, and gave it to me anyway. That was excellent customer service in my book! I'll be back next year when my birthday rolls around! Wanted a pair of SAS deck shoes, and the store on Greenback Ln. is the only factory store in Sacramento, so I went there last week to buy shoes. I don't usually bother to leave reviews but after reading the only two previously posted reviews which, coincidently, were both written in Oct. of 2014, I felt the necessity to add my opinion. Other reviewer claims you can buy these shoes on line, but you really can't. Shoe company has firm control of venues that sell these shoes, and while you might be able to buy them on line SOMEWHERE, the only ones I could find, were an odd lot, one pair on E-bay; so "on line," really not an option. The other comments: store has distinctive, strong, cooking odor, sales personnel were rude, sales personnel weren't able to fit customer with right size shoe, sales personnel had strong accent that was hard to understand, all appear to be the result of some minimally informed cultural bias. Sales personnel were all extremely friendly and personable. There was no problem with communication skills, and no one that I talked to had any noticeable accent. There was no strong cooking odor, or any other objectionable odors, whatsoever, and my feet were accurately measured as the size that I most commonly wear. So, what am I to think of the other two reviews? Given the "string theory of the composition of the universe,", I think that the other two reviewers must have occupied a alternative continuum, because we don't seem to be talking about the same store. read more
