Gluten-free friends: DO NOT believe the reviews that say Xclusive Taqueria has gluten-free options. That may have been true in the past, but tonight the chef said absolutely nothing is GF except for the salads. (And if nothing is GF besides the salads, I personally don't believe the salads would be safe enough from cross-contamination for someone with celiac--although you may feel differently, of course.)

After having gone to the restaurant a few times and to their food truck, I won't be back to either…read more This restaurant does not take dietary requests seriously, which creates a hazardous environment for customers with allergies or severe food sensitivity. In the most recent incident, I ordered a chicken burrito at the food truck with no cheese because of a dairy allergy. The request was very clear and they even repeated it back. Imagine my surprise when I got home to find a burrito full of cheese. When we returned to explain and get the order remade, there was no apology or sympathy - in fact, we were made to feel like the inconvenience! They literally opened up each burrito to check for cheese as if we were lying. It was made clear that this was an allergy, and in no world would I drive all the way back to get an order corrected if there wasn't actually an issue. Luckily I was ok in this instance, but it's this kind of negligence that can send people to the hospital. Will not order anything here again.

The six nuggets were unique in that they were like fried chicken meatballs if I had to explain. The box comes with choice of 3 sauces. Their ketchup is also unique in that it tastes vinegary. I enjoyed it, along with their fry sauce (idk how to explain that taste) and ranch (self explanatory). However, I was disappointed with the quantity of fries. As you can see in the pic, you could see the bottom of the box before even starting to eat. The fries were minimal, which is weird considering that's got to be a cheap item for them and it's in their business name. Food trucks are overpriced to begin with ($17 including tax and small tip), but I at least expected a lot of fries!

Friends and I came around 11 AM, unfortunately all the pastries were sold out so we decided to try the crepes. I shared a mushroom crepe and also got mimosa. Mushroom crepe was large portion, good enough for two people to share as a large snack. Filling to crepe ratio was good, although a sauce would have been nice. We tried our friends smoked salmon crepe and we liked that better. Overall solid vibe with not too heavy food. Would love to try the pastries my next visit.
