We all had a local cider mill we would frequent during the Fall and mine was the Franklin Cider Mill, but this spot over on the East Side, never on my radar. There was a big Sunflower Festival tied in as a supporting event, with lots of local merchants for a small flea market feel. Lots of things for both the kids as well as the adults to amuse themselves. The cider and the donuts were great, but the best part was all those crazy sunflowers! I've never seen so many in one place, and you had the option to cut and purchase if you were so inclined. If you want a beverage with some alcohol content, stick with the cider, their beer was not particularly good. We tried the food in one of their restaurants, limited selection, but what they served, was very good, and the service particularly good given the insanity of all the days activities. It was a fun stop for young and old alike, just a bit out in the middle of nowhere.

The nice "farm man" saw that I was on a mission and wheeled out more boxes of the orange mini's. That was a nice thing for him to do and I appreciated the great customer service. But after seeing the Japanese month lineup, I hopped into the car and drove over here. It was so worth it. The place is gorgeous. I love the different types of decor, they had the Japanese culture on display, along with French accents and an homage to Remy in Ratatouille along with an adorable playroom for children. I loved the sugar blown sculpture and along with all of the details to make this place transport you to a cafe in Europe. The people here were nice and helpful. There was a steady stream of people coming in the middle of the week. Product was flying out of the displays, some items were being replenished while others were selling out. I bought so many things, I went to the register three separate times. We started with two drinks. I got the sparkling water refresher. It could have used a little more syrup, but that's okay. My child had an iced coffee drink that she enjoyed. I scored my favorite focaccia mortadella sandwich that I must order every time I see it at a restaurant, and it was quite dreamy. I love for those sandwiches. It was so huge, I only ate half. My child had a marry-me chicken croissant square that was very nice. She also had a fresh berry stuffed croissant that tasted very fresh and refreshing. I was dreaming of a chestnut mount blanc and the one they made was identical to food in an anime and it was so lovely and delicious. I have always wanted to eat food found in an animated series, and the food here is that artistic. We took home a bunch of food as well. For the other child, I got the Gudetama guava matcha cream puff that was both adorable and refreshingly delicious. One child got the double cherry dessert is was dreamy. We also got the hojicha miso Zen garden tiramisu. The chocolate had such a satisfying crunch and the inside was creamy and perfect. I was craving a cinnamon roll. I was thinking of trying Cinnabun but it was such a good choice to come here instead. Their bun was huge, first of all, a great price, second, and third so fresh and delicious, it seems like a must order item. I got the frosted one but I would like to try the caramel one next time. They also have so many adorable gift for sale, it was all very enticing. And I love the window to see the chefs hard at work. This place is an adventure worth taking over and over again, I cannot wait to return.

You take too long to wait on your customers and one customer walked out while y'all were doing whatever y'all were doing to take your time. We ordered and split a Turkey BLT - the woman making it did warn us that it takes her ~15 minutes to make one. They were packing great looking baked goods but left them exposed for a good amount of time while we were waiting and I did note an amount of flies inside so didn't love how open they left them. The shop itself sells mainly dry goods (beans, rice, dehydrated items, etc.) with questionable expiration dates as some of the labels were quite yellowed and lids/packaging dusty. The women all working there were otherwise so nice and wonderful to chat with however and the sandwich was fantastic! Highly recommend to go for the deli and if you need a dry good this may be your spot. They also have punch cards where your 10th sandwich will be free!

Got some donuts and cider (no line) and checked out the animals while waiting for sundown. Super cute alpacas! I appreciated the hand wash station near the animals. When it was dark, we headed to the tent for zombie paintball and the haunted hayride. We waited less than 15 mins for each line. As an adult, I think the hayride is more for children. I would not pay for the hayride at full price as an adult. Zombie paintball was fun, but you need the booster paintballs for a reload halfway through. There was also no line for the haunted barn, and I did get scared! There were some good jump scares. There are lots of places that you need to bend down and almost crawl in the barn, for no apparent reason at all. So make sure you are pretty physically fit before attempting. The only gripes we had about the whole experience were no soap in bathroom trailer and smell of sewage around bathrooms in main area. They were advertising pumpkin spice cider on a big Tv screen above the checkout, and the staff said pumpkin spice isn't going to be in season for a lot longer. So that was weird, as if no staff had looked above their head in days. Otherwise all staff for the farm store and the attractions were nice and talkative!

On the haunted hayride we had a young woman who was in charge of our wagon and she was a bit over the top with giving instructions and being bossy. I think if she wasn't so annoying I would have given more stars for the whole event, but she was really a downer. They stop half way through the hayride to give you cider and donuts which was really good. The hayride wasn't that scary so don't worry about your kids being scared. I would have liked at least one scream!
