The teriyaki chicken here is one of my favorite dishes anywhere. I have been there dozens of times, without any complain of quality.

Loved the scallop bowl, the chicken yakitori, and the orange roll. Seems overpriced but the portions are decently sized. My partner and I have a big appetite so we ordered way more than the average person, and still paid less than any other dinner we've had in Naples so far. The place is small but organized and cute.

The restaurant was empty aside from one other table. Entering the restaurant and taking a look behind the bar, we noticed a toaster oven and a microwave. We did not seem to notice an actual kitchen. We were seated immediately and we checked out the menu. Not your typical Japanese menu but, we are adventurous and we chose a couple of dishes to try. We both ordered a sprite. We were brought two glasses with ice and two, unopened cans of Sprite. Classy? For the cost of lunch for two here, I think not. Oddly, the restaurant does not give you free rein over your own soy sauce. Instead, they give you the little dish and they pour a little bit in it at the table then take it away. Interesting. We ordered the chicken yakitori appetizer. This comes as three skewers. Unfortunately, the cut of chicken they used was mostly fat globs and had a strange, chewy texture. $16. Not a fan. I ordered the sake salmon maki. It was made with brown rice and had little crunchy round bits on the top. It included a little ginger and about a dime-sized amount of wasabi. The sushi was good. Different, but tasty. But, $18 for a 6 piece roll. Lofty. My husband ordered the hon maguro tuna carpaccio. This dish is basically 8 thinly sliced pieces of tuna sashimi with a balsamic glaze drizzled over it. Good, but not worth almost $30. Again, way overpriced. The service was lacking and lazy, making us wait longer than necessary for our check and a little annoying by leaving us a business card clipped to our $100+ receipt. I don't know who is giving this restaurant high ratings but it is definitely not worth the cost or the quality of service. One and done.

One of our neighbors used to live in the area and recommended anything in Tin City for lunch. We walked to Tin City from the free parking structure just off 5th Avenue and, while we found the area mildly interesting, we didn't like any of the typical joints along the water. Besides, having eaten at Dockside in Venice the day prior, we were looking for something other than seafood. In looking at Yelp, we were intrigued by Ichi Togarishi so we walked back towards 5th Avenue. Located just off 5th Avenue, this small place would be quite easy to miss. Upon entering, we realized how snug this place was. We were seated promptly and presented the menu. My wife ordered the Chicken Veggie Shoyu Soy Ginger and I had the Chashu Belly Garlic Noodle. We both liked our dishes, with complex, bold flavors. The Chashu belly was tender with sweetness and soy flavor shining thru. Its flavor profile reminded me of Pad Thai. A very nice find in Naples!

The restaurant has a large menu featuring different ramen (dry or w/ soup) and rice dishes, as well as appetizers. I tried their steamed vegetable dumplings and the pork ribs dry ramen. Both dishes were fantsastic. It was the first time that I had dumplings filled with endamame+minced garlic. It was savory and slightly sweet. The meat in the ramen was fork-tender and full of umami; the ramen was chewy; and it was served with a wide variety of fresh vegetables (zucchin, broccoli, carrot, onions, green onions, corn, microgreens, pickled ginger). The ramen was ~5oz. PS: the noodles are salty -- ramens are meant to be salty. Service was awesome. Several things that my server impressed me: 1. He asked me about my food allergies -- important for seafood-dense restaurants like a Japanese restaurant. 2. I asked for some extra ramen when I just got the entree. He suggested to bring me the extra when I almost finish the ramen in my entree. Surprisingly, he brought a small bowl of ramen exactly when I was about to finish it -- very precise and customer-oriented. 3. Food was served in a reasonable amount of time. 4. When he was taking the order of another table, he gave recommendations to the customers based on their dietary preferences, instead of blindly mentioning the "signature dishes" like most servers do. Moreover, when the customers ordered food, he squat down to listen what they said carefully. So, yes, I speak highly of this restaurant. Definitely recommend it. And I will dine in it again next time I visit Naples.

A member of my family was burned in the face because the hibachi chef aggressively cleaned the grill while we were still seated, causing hot grease and debris to fly toward our table. It was completely avoidable and extremely concerning. On top of that, every single meal was absolutely drenched in an overly sweet teriyaki sauce. We've been to many hibachi/teppanyaki restaurants over the years, and we've never experienced food prepared like this. The excessive sauce completely overwhelmed the flavor of the steak, chicken, shrimp, rice, and vegetables. Most of our meals went uneaten. When we spoke with the manager, hoping she would show some concern and work toward a reasonable solution, we were met with rudeness and a complete lack of professionalism. Instead of listening or showing empathy after someone had been burned and our meals were inedible, she became argumentative. When we explained that the compensation offered wasn't appropriate given what had happened and the fact that we barely touched our food, she actually yelled at us and told us to "go call the cops." I've never experienced customer service like that. Mistakes can happen, but how management responds makes all the difference. Between the safety issue, the poor quality of the food, and the manager's behavior, we will never return and cannot recommend this restaurant.
