Sarina Russo is an employment agency that I was placed with for a few weeks earlier this year when…read moreI was between jobs and reliant on Centrelink. I had one visit with them in which I filled out some paperwork regarding my skills and employment prospects. I then met with one of their representatives for approximately two minutes, in which time she told me that I shouldn't have trouble getting work myself, and if they have to see me again for a follow up visit in around three months time, they would be forced to find me a minimum wage dead end job to fulfil their requirements. The whole experience, whilst quick and painless, was hardly encouraging, so I'm glad that it was a free service. I wouldn't, however, encourage anyone to pay out of their own pocket for their service (at least for the service that I received).

I'm grateful for there help, it's about me, it's about them individually, it's about us working together as a team to get me a lil step further to where i wanna be when I'm sixty+. I hate marketing myself out and just upset when a positions, i'm well and overly qualified for is given to the next person that knows of that person whom then got the position from that person, this is not about WHO YOU KNOW, it's all really for WHAT YOU KNOW, get that one and you'll know how to work your way around job networking in agencies, as long as you understand yourself, what you know and how you get about it, then that's alright. I have a steady income with centrelink, it takes me from A to B and i don't have to be force into a job even if it means, I'm gonna have to make sacrifices that which means time away from my boys, it's not worth the hassle for me at the end of the day, I can maintain respect on a low yet steady income than chase the big guns and me kids are left without a mum, so, I really don't mind joining the team as a client or as a member. This is the only job recruitment centre I have dealt with so I have nothing to compare them too. It…read morethe type of place you ignore until you find yourself in need of their services. I choose them from a range of Job Service providers Centrelink gave me. They won because we share initials. Yep that is how much thought I gave them. They share a building with other recruitment services so I assume they are all pretty similar. The staff at JP are friendly and helpful. However the job search advice they have given me is nothing I didn't already know. Perhaps my expectations were too high, but the online resources were general and already known to me and they pretty much leave you to your own devices. Fine. But I hoped to pick up at least one job search tip or trick. They have computers and printing facilities for job searching which would be helpful if you don't already have internet access. You can find them in the offices above Interior Design Outlet and Amcal on Burgundy Street. There is a lift with a floor directory, surprisingly easy to find!

They do not assist with helping you find suitable training and education. In fact, I was recommended to not take on any further education! Every time I go there I meet with someone new, when I am suppose to have consistent ongoing support. Nothing has ever made as angry as this place. It is so frustrating for the simple fact that it is a huge waste of time. I have complete faith in myself that I will come across suitable employment soon. I feel sorry for people who need the support and help from places like these and are let down consistently.
