When I went in Saturday to finalize details, I learned our event was no longer being accommodated due to another commitment. At no time did anyone contact me directly, leave a message with a name or phone number, or explain that our confirmed event was being canceled. I only found out because I went to the restaurant myself. I was then told tax and gratuity were not included and that adding the sangria we had previously discussed would increase the price to $90 per person. We are now scrambling to relocate my only daughter's bridal shower while family is traveling from out of town and North Florida. I cannot recommend Zona Blu for an important event or special occasion. If you don't care how you're treated, by all means spend your money there. Based on my experience, they won't care one way or another. This experience will be shared with our family, friends, and anyone who values quality customer service, communication, and being treated like a valued customer--not just another dollar sign.

The server this time picked up my plate with my food still on it and tried to take it away and I had to say again I'm still eating, thank you. I understand when it's busy and you're trying to flip tables but I've never been to a restaurant where multiple staff try to take my food away while I'm still eating it. For a relatively nice atmosphere and more than moderate price point I would expect more polite service and common sense to ask if you're done eating something and maybe need a box. It's a shame because the first time here, the service was 5/5 and we loved it. The weird service soured the night and makes me think twice about returning even though the food is great.
