Couldn't shop there the rodents and droppings were so disgusting. I stopped by and while walking around the showroom I saw a pile of rat turds. Standing at the service counter you can clearly see more droppings in the back room. At the sales counter I saw movement in the room behind and I saw a gray furry thing dart across. I took two tires from my dual sport in to get two new tires put on ,mounted and balanced ,I asked if they could do that ?they said yes. I marked arrows on my old tires of the direction, an hour and a half later they called me and said they were done. I was pleased and went and got them $78 and change. when I finally got back home, I noticed one tire was on backwards. there was no balancing of the tires. I did a static balance myself ! The front tire was horribly off. I am very disappointed. I will be going back today!! a few years ago I bought a new 650 Bergman from them, the cover over the gauges was cracked and it had to be replaced , when they put a new one on the machine at their service department, it was never right as I would ride the bike it would snap apart, I ended up adding a zip tie to keep it in place and I love that Bergman! I thought something as simple as two tires would be no problem??? I guess from now on I think twice about using their service department! I won't go back for a third strike! read more

Really glad i came by. It was my first time buying a motorcycle helmet for my self so i got in just wanting to see what they got and check out the sizes but not until Drew asked if i need any help ! He was very polite and considerate, he showed me a bunch of options from the shelfs and spend half an hour trying to find the best fit for me in the back of a warehouse. When they are the only Vespa repair shop in town you're at their mercy. They fixed my motorcycle but it took a long time for something simple. The communication wasn't that great. Had to call Lynn to get updates and when I did, no one really knew anything. But overall it turned out OK. If I had a different choice, I would definitely choose them. Ive been going here for years, since the early 90's. they've changed hands with some of the old staff still on board. In the past few years it's gone down hill. Possible down the big corporation hill. You can feel it. No more soul to the guys there. It's a shame I trusted them to help me with a brand new bike. I truly regret giving them a penny. I decided to buy a new dual sport KLX in late 2024. Through the process of purchasing it, I've taken it in for service, spent boatloads of money on another motorcycle for my kiddo, bought all of our gear there, attempted to buy another motorcycle from them, and I some how managed to get stabbed in the back. This stealership/dealership is allllll about money especially the sales department. I get it, I'm in business as well, however I focus on long term relationships. I like my customers...These guys? They want to reach in your pocket, break promises and leave you with a horrible taste in your mouth with a smile on theirs. I quote, " Go somewhere else then" They are the worst, they made me feel bad as soon as I complained about a legitimate insult hurled. Money isn't the issue, however getting insulted and robbed is indeed a problem for me. Sarasota powersports and robbery inc is all about one thing, Profit. Never again. Get your act together because I I'm not the only one that thinks this. As for the service department..... Mike the GM is probably the only reason this place still is In existence. If you can get Mikes attention on a repair, you will be 100% happy with your service. He will make you feel like your family. If it's not Mike, good luck. I purchased a 300cc Vespa for 10k. From day 4, I continued to experience all kinds of issues. I took it back in to have it checked and part needed to be shipped from Italy. There were two more issues that they have fixed prior to needing this part. Regardless of the issue my Vespa was sitting in the shop for 2 months. I called every week for an update and all this time they couldn't tell me that it was safe to ride without that part. I eventually went to pick it up and was riding it for 2 weeks. They have scheduled me for service at 10am, because the part came in, telling me it takes 2 hours work with pick up same day. No call, no update. An hour before closing I called and they have told me they are shot staffed and my Vespa won't be ready till Wednesday. Today is Saturday. Yet again I am without my Vespa and is just sitting at Sarasota Powersport. read more

These criminals charged my 16 year old Nephew $329 to install 4 Yamaha ATV tires and 1 Tube for a Honda CRF 50.....because the uncle in NY was paying. This was just a labor charge not cost of tires. Cost of tires were less then cost of install. All wheels were removed prior to being dropped off. Caught one representative stating it did not take 2.5 hours, but they charged me 2.5 hours. Then he put manager on the phone. Manager was arrogant. Was acting as if he just installed a supercharged HEMI on a truck justifying charging this kid that much money was due to their skill level and rate per hour. I asked if it took them 2.5 hours he said no he just charges 30 minutes a tire. So which is it? Hourly rate of per tire and where was the phone call letting me know. I would have said absolutely not. The Bill says hourly rate being charged and says nothing about auto adding charges for less hours worked...ie. 30 minutes a tire. The employee stating "it didn't take that long" and then throwing the manager on phone speaks volumes. Even threw in a $10 Misc charge. I use to uninstall and install tires in the summer it was never more than $25 a tire for an ATV. This guy took advantage of the situation and did not call me to verify price was going to be more than $100. Which is a state law in Florida and states at the bottom of their receipt. I never received and estimate or a phone call of costs. Just gladly took my credit card over the phone when my nephew handed it to him when he went to pick it up. Ethically this charge is wildly high. Arrogance by manager Mike. Offered a discount for when kid comes in next time. I would 't send my worst enemy to go back to this place let alone a 16 year old who was already taken to the cleaners. I'll send you what the local Raptor community wrote about this maneuver. After the manufacturer couldn't ship the parts I needed for a week ( read lost riding time on a trip thru Florida!) then shipped the wrong part, they stepped up and had the part overnighted at their expense and got me back on the road ASAP. How Sarasota PowerSports unjustly charged my visa account: Power Sports does not let you ride a motorcycle to try it out without first "purchasing it", "for insurance purposes". They do all the paperwork to create a sale before you "try out" the motorcycle, including payment by charge card or check, with the caveat that "they have insurance problems and must do it this way". They told me, "If you don't want the bike, then we tear up the paperwork and there is no sale. We won't put the charges through until we have an agreement." I rode the bike, returned it, and told them I would call them that day as to whether or not I wanted the bike. I did call that afternoon and said I didn't want the bike. They said, "ok no problem. Come on in and take care of the paperwork". That was late Friday so I asked if Monday was ok and they said fine. The next thing I know I have about a $10,000 charge on my credit card. They put it through. And when they told me I could come in Monday, they neglected to mention they are closed on Mondays! No dealer we have ever dealt with does this, let alone put through charges without an agreement between both parties. They all encourage you to ride the cycles and try them out. This place has the most friendly and helpful staff. I have had many 4 wheelers and side by sides in the past. I just recently traded in a side-by-side on a brand new Polaris high lifter. The sales staff was amazing But the real shining star is the service. I have dealt with Adrian and Jimmy on many occasion's to get warranty work done as well as working on my used for Wheeler that I did not buy from their. They are very fair And are quick with quality work. They jump at the chance to help someone . I have dealt with their competitors And every chance I get from here on out I will be dealing with this place only. I would recommend anyone intrested in a 4 Wheeler or off road vehicle to visit this place.
