So we decided to return and see if that was just a fluke day. Nope. It's pretty consistent - I'm not sure what their secret is- how they manage to thrive while other malls are dying- how they stay so clean and free of groups of troublemakers, but they are! Once again we felt safe, happy and excited to see so many wonderful places to shop under one roof- and it's a big roof because this mall is huge!

I was here for the Super Buffet but there are other spaces that are open and keeping this plaza busy. The plaza is laid out in a linear manner with the Chase Bank at the western end and proceeding east for CVS, Publix, Ferguson and Northern Tools at the east end. A couple of outbuildings for Smoothie King, Pollo Tropical, Bank of America and Taco Bell. I think there's plenty of parking and the palm trees used for landscaping are quite tall. There is lighting though I was here in the afternoon and couldn't tell you if I would feel safe here at night. The bartender seemingly a seasoned gentleman who appeared to hate his job so much that he could not even smile or look in my direction as he had a total of maybe six people at the bar. He did point me to the front desk after he spoke the words just go to the front and they'll help you. I came in from side entrance, carrying my bag in my clothes. Which should've given it away... At least he pointed me in the right direction. I guess. I made it to the front desk where Gillian and (Justin -maybe- he was quite but seemed to be accommodating) let me use a charger for my phone and offered me the option to sit at the bar and she would come find me when the Instacart driver arrived. Also, she pointed me towards the front entrance as I came in Beach side, apparently. I am grateful that she was spot on as driver did show up exactly where she thought! My overall feel is probably skewed because there was some kind of occasion that people were in the lobby being photographed and having fun! I was surprised at how artistic and upscale the interior of this hotel was that I didn't even realize a hotel all of these years! I've driven a bazillion times and never knew there was this hidden jam of a place there is right in plain sight on Lido Beach! I am still gonna give it five Maybe the bartender is having a bad week or day... It is , and if people in the industry do not save up during the plentiful times it can be quite trying. This TJ Maxx is situated in a place with many different kinds of stores (it's literally next to an…read moreindoor swim school and a Office Max) but is conveniently located off of Bee Ridge Rd. in South/Central Sarasota FL. When you shop at TJ Maxx you pretty much always know what you get: a random variety of brand names and not-so-brand names items at a decent discount (items are prices below MSRP). The store has clothing, accessories, shoes, beauty products, and some housewares. I like finding unusual selections I most likely would not find elsewhere. Recently I purchased a hair serum/leave in conditioner that does wonders for my hair that I otherwise wouldn't have known about. :) The store is always clean and well organized and the associates could not be nicer and more pleasant and hard-working. There is ample parking in the plaza parking lot. I enjoy the seasonal items offered and enjoy perusing the shoe section as well. I have found some random pieces that make a nice addition to my house and wardrobe here. For example, back home we do NOT have high-end jewelry or even branded jewelry for that matter. They legit had GUCCI rings, necklaces, earrings and the best branded sunglass case I have ever seen at a secondhand distributor store. I may have to visit a TJ Maxx each time I go on vacations now, just to see the different products logistically placed for each area's demographic. Clearly my fashion and accessory choices reside in Florida.
