My husband set up an appointment with Sara about 10 days ago to come to give us a quote between 12-1 pm. At 1 pm he received a text stating there was an emergency. AWFUL! DO NOT HIRE! Sara came over to give us a quote at the end of March. She was so personable and sweet! She pointed out that my house was "very dirty" even though it was cleaned by another cleaning company 3 days prior. Sara reached on top of my refrigerator to show me the layers of dust.** She told us if we hired her, she would do a deep clean first (which is common for cleaning businesses and costs a lot more). We hired her... she showed up promptly with one of her workers for the "deep clean". The house looked the same as a regular clean.... Sara came back 1 more time, but it was a struggle to get her here. She convinced me that her cleaning was so good that we didn't need her bi-weekly, we should have her every three weeks. The first time she was due to come after the deep clean she texted me to ask if she was supposed to be at my house the next day or the following week- she said she totally lost track. I told her it wasn't until next week. When the next week came, she texted me saying she had a doctor's appointment, could she come another morning. The second time that she was due to come I texted her asking what time we should expect her....She was scheduled for Thursdays at 10. She responded that they could be at my house around noon. When noon came, she texted me and canceled. I have a newborn and a toddler. I try to arrange our day to be out of the house when the cleaners are here. I also have to pick up all the kid toys to make it easier for them to clean.... I asked Sara for a day and time that could be consistent. She said Mondays at 10 would work. Three weeks went by and Sara was due to start her Mondays with us. I texted her Sunday night as a reminder (which I shouldn't have to do, she is running the business). No response. I texted her Monday morning. Still no response. I called her... She texted back that she was in Canada for a funeral and that the girls would be at my house at 11:30. Shouldn't Sara have notified me of the time change? 11:30 came and went... no one showed up. I texted Sara at 1 to see if her girls were still coming and just running behind, no response. I called Sara the next day and left a message. No return phone call. I called her two days after she was supposed to clean my house, still no return phone call. It is now almost 4 days later and I haven't heard a thing from Sara's Cleaning Service. ** I never checked the top of my refrigerator after the deep clean because I just trusted that she cleaned it after she pointed it out to me in the initial consult. It wasn't until I reflected on her service and stood on a stool to look at the top of my refrigerator that I saw it still has her finger prints- she NEVER even cleaned it, but she criticized how dirty it was! Sara also told our friend that she doesn't clean people's houses who know each other. This struck me as odd because most businesses like this thrive on word of mouth recommendations! AWFUL BUSINESS! Sara came over for an estimate, and we chatted for a long time. She was very pleasant and I was looking forward to having her and her staff come clean for us. However, she did not show up for the first cleaning. When I called her, she said there was a family emergency to we re-scheduled. UNRELIABLE! I really wanted to like this cleaning service because Sara is a nice person and has thoroughly clean my home the first time but it was a disaster after that and I cannot say good things about this company honestly. I wanted to schedule a monthly cleaning so Sara advised to do a first time deep cleaning which I agreed to. This job was done well (they forgot a couple of spots but nothing major) and I was happy to pay a much higher price as compared to other companies in the area. However after this, everything went downhill. To cut the story short, I discovered they took away one of my detergent solution (they are not supposed to use the client's stuff, they advertise that they bring their own - and the price probably includes this). I called to ask and Sara promised to bring it back but never did. Then she forgot our next appointment, and when I called she first made it sound as if I had to call back to remind them (not the agreement we had). She finally admitted she forgot and we rescheduled for another day. On the same day she was supposed to come, actually an hour later than our appointment, she called me and cancelled it, with the promised to call me back to reschedule.... never did. This was 3 weeks ago...never heard from her after that. In all honestly I cannot recommend this company at all. I live in Williamsville and would have been a very loyal customer as I work full time, have a baby and 2 dogs. PS: they advertise to use organic detergent but it is simply METHOD, which is not organic. read more

Sara has cleaned our large Williamsville, New York home a number of times and each time it amazes me how fast, yet how thorough, immaculate and efficiently this gets done and gets done at a very fair price. I have never had her team break anything. They do a great job with the hard to clean bathrooms and kitchen and focus on the details in each room (like dust between the railing posts). Sara has high standards for quality cleaning. She is always on site as part of the team and inspects the areas her team members clean.
