    Lumpia, pancit, and rice

Heard about this place from a good friend of mine, and happened to be in town and saw them and go ahead and try them. I ordered the combo with the pancit, lumpia, and rice, and also got a side of 2 barbecue sticks. First thing I will say is, I DEFINITELY be back. The food is so tasty, I ate the barbecue sticks first and they honestly didn't even make it back home with me, they got eaten on the way. So so so good, I haven't had any in years and the taste is just as I remembered. Overall, I'll rate the barbecue sticks 5/5, the lumpia 4/5 with the sauce, and the pancit 4/5. They also aren't stingy with the portions, I got full by eating half the food. I can't wait to come back!

Love this truck. My go-to is always the pancit combo, which comes with rice, noodles and 2 skewers of Filipino style barbecue. My second choice is their dinuguan, which is a stew with offal and pork blood. Think chitlins but in a darker broth. They have lots of menu items that I have yet to try.

There's flies in the restaurant, people serving and prepping food not wearing hair covers, place needs renovation and cleaning.

First time trying this special food truck…read more What a menu! The menu is partially Filipino. I am 100% Filipino so I for the first visit I opted for quintessential Filipino Choices! I opted for the Pancit Palabok and the Taho. The pancit was super authentic. Flavors were on point. The thicker rice noodles were also a pro-choice. Portions are perfect. They did not scrimp on the sauce nor the toppings. What would have made this an A+ bowl of pancit is instead of lemon wedges, clamansi and fish sauce would have pushed this bowl to another level. It's probably too much of an ask since calamansi are not readily available in Texas, lol. My second item was the taho. A tofu dessert served served in a glass/cup in a vanilla brown sugar syrup along with tapioca balls. FYI this dessert is served warm. I look forward to my next visit. If I can resist my craving for Filipino food, I may go for more of the massive menu

One of the lookers he was using to keep his door open got out closing the door and we saw this my children and I and tried to help. He sees us and snaps asking "WHAT ARE YOU DOING TO MY TRUCK!!!" I politely answered the cooler removed and we were trying to out it back, didn't say anything. My husband bought lumpia's from here which you can taste the oil was old it actually gave me a stomach ache as well as made my husbands stomach turn. He then overcharged us for the jarrito $4 for a small bottle when the other truck charged us $2 for a bigger bottle. Whatever I thought we're here to support. But not once did he try to check us out or get to know us like all the other vendors did. Mind you we were a small table selling watermelon drinks and fried balls. My 12 year old son took a customer from the line which he figured was standing there for a while and they purchased. The truck owner got furious and asked my son where was I to speak about "boundaries" my son got me and he mentioned how my 12 year old son was stealing his customers and he respects the hustle but there's boundaries. He went on by saying how the last event he got his tires slashed because it got so competitive and no worries we're kool. That left a nasty taste in my mouth this was for the kids to sell, we don't sell the same thing and we were just a table while he's a good truck who's inquiring on getting another truck. We just trying to start up with our dream he's living it and he could not show an ounce of support. I'm not sure how's he still in business, it's disgusting!!!

I learned from one of the workers that any register can do a return, so I headed over to a random register. My cashier was Joe C. A young man who was on it! When I was up next, it was then that I could tell that he was new. I don't know what gave me that thought but what I found to be so great was how he wasn't shy to ask for help. He spoke to the woman at the register in front, "Excuse me, Ma'am?" And she turned right away to see what he needed and stepped in to help right away. She quickly walked him right through the process and he followed perfectly. Eventually, he still needed a manager to come and sign off something but I did get my refund. I got to my car and realized that he had forgot to scan one item so I was short and that's my fault. I started to get anxiety because the line started to get longer and I was feeling the pressure just a little bit. I debated about going back in to get the rest of my money and I began to drive off but then I remembered I brought all the items back so why shouldn't I get my FULL refund. I parked my car again and pushed forward to get out, grab my baby and head back in to get my $3 and some change back lol I sort of walked aimlessly back inside because I was hesitant to go to a register again and that's when I bumped into the manager, Ms. Brittany and she remembered me from earlier! Thank goodness! She came to the rescue and I never felt so good. I actually felt silly that I felt bad earlier. Anyways, I learned that the woman who helped Joe at the other register was Ms, Vanessa? Or Valerie? My apologies I forgot the name but I'm pretty sure her name started with a 'V.' Thank you Ma'am for helping him/us! Anyways, just based off this experience I had to make a review. They did such an amazing job and I am very pleased that I got my entire refund! I'd highly recommend this H-E-B. Sidenote: I always like their food here. I've bought the sushi, doughnuts and etc. you can always expect a sense of higher quality products here than other grocery stores.
